Chapter 18
~Seyeon~
I slipped my phone back into my handbag and let out a sigh, feeling my heart break a little. I can't say I was surprised... because I wasn't. Not really.
Just then, my view was filled with a bouquet of flowers.
I glanced up and saw a man there, holding the flowers out to me. My eyes dropped down to it and then I looked up. "Huh?"
"For you," he said with a gentle smile.
"Oh... uh..." I accepted it awkwardly, "Thanks... but why?"
He smiled shyly, "I... overhead your conversation with your friend before. On the phone."
I tilted my head to the side, confused.
"It's your birthday, right?" he said, quickly. "I—I just think you're really pretty... and I wanted to give you flowers."
I blinked.
"I work next door," he pointed at the flower shop next door. "I was getting coffee and couldn't take my eyes off you... so I sort of... maybe eavesdropped without meaning to."
I couldn't help it and smiled. How cute. Judging by his appearance, he seems to be younger than me.
"Thank you," I said, softly. "They're perfect."
He let out the biggest smile. "You think so too? I chose pink because it matches with your dress."
"That's thoughtful of you," I replied with a smile. Oh, if only this guy was Yoongi- I'd be so happy.
"D-do you have a boyfriend?" he blurted.
I gave him a troubled smile, "Yeah, I do. I'm... supposed to meet up with him."
I felt a little bad for the guy because his smile fell for a split second before he nodded. "I figured you'd be. You're really pretty."
I smiled. "Thank you."
He awkwardly raked his fingers through his hair, "Well... I'll see you around. Happy birthday."
I thanked him and got out of there quicker than lightning, not wanting to lead him on or give him any other ideas. Still, I couldn't help but be a little touched at his warm gesture. Lifting the flowers to my nose, I inhaled its scent and smiled as I walked through the streets.

~Yoongi~
"I'm sorry but I can't do this," Yoongi said, taking off his headphones. "If we want this album to be perfect than I need to be in the mood to work."
To his surprise, he could see that the people were really happy about his decision. He glanced towards the room and saw the rest of the members there, watching him.
Yoongi blinked. "How long were you lot there?"
"Did you cancel on noona again?" Taehyung asked, eyebrows raised.
Yoongi tried not to roll his eyes at the annoyance glint in his members' eyes. He grabbed his things and rushed past the members, making sure say, "Don't say a word to Seyeon."
Then he left.
~Seyeon~
I heaved a sigh as I tightened my hold on the railing.
"The sun is going to set soon," I murmured to myself.
After receiving Yoongi's text, I went on my way and did things by myself. It was a little sad actually but I enjoyed spending time alone too. That's one thing Yoongi and I have in common – we like to be alone and do our own things. Being alone gave me the time to really think about how blessed I am to be alive... to meet good people and to have so many beautiful opportunities. That was enough to make me feel a little better.
I knew Yoongi probably felt bad for not being able to make it so I'm going to have to reassure him that it's really okay... I know he loves his job and I know how much of a perfectionist he is. To be honest, the reason why I never really complain when Yoongi spends too much time working is because there was one time when I was sitting with him while he was working.
I saw how stressed out he was and I saw how little he ate and how little he slept. It broke my heart to see such a sight. From then on, I made up my mind to be supportive and understanding... because I never want to be the reason why he looks like that. Just knowing that he loves me is enough. Yoongi does his best to be with me whenever he can and I'm honestly grateful for that. I shouldn't ask for more.
The thought of Yoongi made me smile. Knowing him, he'll probably try to find ways to make it up to me... although I really don't mind. I've seen him try to work hard so that he could spend today with me... to me, that was more than enough. Just as I was having these thoughts, I felt someone placed an arm over my chest before I was hauled up against them.
I was about to scream when Yoongi's familiar scent hit me. Then I felt him rest his head on my shoulder, the other arm coming around my front, back-hugging me.
For some reason, I almost teared up at the gesture.
"Hi Tiny," Yoongi murmured, nuzzling against the side of my neck. "I'm sorry."
I teared up and placed my hand over his arm, "You don't have to be."
Yoongi snorted, "Yeah I do. I promised and went back on that promise but here I am."
I blinked away the tears before turning around so that I can see him. Yoongi looked different... almost like he—
"I got all dressed up for you," Yoongi said with a smirk when he noticed that I was checking him out. "That's why I'm a little late."
I tilted my head to the side to study him, "What does that mean? Did you end up finishing everything?"
Yoongi bites his lip and hesitated. Then he shook his head, "No. I didn't."
My eyes widened, "What are you doing here then? Go back and—"
Yoongi stopped me from finishing my sentence by placing a finger against my lips. "Shut it, Tiny."
I glared. "What?!"
Yoongi gave me a lazy smile, "I want to work on it too but I can't concentrate even if I wanted to now."
I warmed at that.
Yoongi reached for my hand, eyes not on me by on my hand. "Have you eaten?"
I shook my head. "I was going to."
Yoongi's eyes came to me and he smiled, "Good. Let's walk around and have you tell me how you've been before we eat then..." he trailed off, glancing at the flowers I'd placed on the bench. "What's this?"
I glanced down, "Oh, this? I was eating before and a guy gave it to me..." I trailed off when I saw Yoongi angling his head to the side, frowning at the flowers. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to tell him about the guy after all.
"Uh..."
Yoongi's eyes came to me before he reached out to grab the bouquet. He studied it for a few seconds before walking away with it. Then I watched in horror as Yoongi shoved the flowers into the bin.
"Y-Yoongi!" I hissed, trying to run to him but couldn't because of these damn heels.
Yoongi dusted his hands and froze when he saw me glare at him. "What?"
"They were a gift for me!"
"You don't need a random guy's gift," Yoongi said with a scoff. "Come on, let's take a walk."
I just laughed in disbelief as I watched Yoongi walked away like he didn't throw my flowers out just because some guy gave it to me.
