Monsoon season has already started. Everything is so sticky with mud ew😑. Yea yea I hate this season as well but I have good reasons for it. Clothes don't dry easily. Hair fall, muds, getting wet in rain and no holidays. And of course too much thunder and lightning is bad for electricity and rubbish network 📡. Do I need a better reason to hate it?

The sky was covered with black clouds and the rain was increasing instead of stopping. I almost ran back from school with my umbrella 🌂 on my head. I haven't seen Mahiro ever since we returned. And Jotaro stays with sensei helping her repair the old shrine. I opened the apartment door keeping the wet umbrella in it's place I closed the door taking off my shoes 👡 and keeping it inside the shoe rack I knocked at Chichi's (father) bedroom door 🚪. But he didn't answered. Finding the door unlocked 🔓 I entered the room. The lights were off. Dad was sitting on the rocking chair showing his back towards me. In the darkness I couldn't see anything properly. I slowly walked up to him and hugged from behind.

Me : Am home 🏡!

Wait... Something is not right. I instantly leave dad and walked in front of him to see his face.

I stood there with bewildered eyes as the Kitsune closes his japanese hand fan standing up his ears and tails appeared. He was no joke... He had the talent of hiding his yokai aura completely.... He was indeed a high level yokai.

Me : Who are you?

Yokai : My name is Kaito. Am son of Michiko. I hope you remember her?

Me : Yes.

Kaito : Well my mom past away few weeks back and...

Me : Where is my dad?

Kaito : and it's time for my mating season... So I was thinking....

Me : Am asking you something... Where is my dad?!

Kaito : Of making you my wife.

Me : Where is my dad?! Just answer me!

He slaps my hard on my cheek making me fall down.

Kaito : Don't ever interrupt me. (Narrows his eyes) That human is safe in my castle.

Me : You!

Getting up I tried to fight back only to be stopped by him.

Kaito : If you want to see him again then come along with me.

Later....

He almost dragged me throwing me beside my father.... The place was almost in ruins except for few areas which were really beautiful and calm.

Akimasa : Akari! Are you okay?

Me : Don't worry about me dad.

Kaito : Such a cute family reunion. Father-in-law enjoy your stay until we get married 👫💏💍👏🎉💒🍸. Then who knows what may happen to you? (He licks his lips)

I sat there listening to his threats in a helpless state. I was afraid if I open my mouth he can do something really bad to my father.

Kaito : (shouts) Kiyoko?! Come here!

A large white fox appears in front of him changing its shape into a girl white hair. Her fox-like ears twisted as she opens her mask revealing her face.

Wtf... They're twins?? Weren't only one of them enough? That now there are two??

Kaito : Chain them up and keep an eye on them till I return.

Kiyoko : Um... Is it necessary to chain them up? (Scared)

Kaito : If you can handle them then no.

Saying this he left the place. Kiyoko sat down beside us smiling warmly.

Kiyoko : Sister-in-law want to drink some tea?

Me : Am not your sister-in-law!

Kiyoko : (teary eyes) Am sorry 😔.

Me : What's there to cry?

Kiyoko : N-Nothing.... Bro scolds me... Please don't scold me.

Me : Fine.

Kiyoko : Do you need anything else?

Me : Please let us go... I beg you.

Kiyoko's whole body starts shaking in fear as she looked at me frightened.

Kiyoko : He will kill me... I can't do that.

Me : Then at least send my message to my sensei and Jotaro. They will come to help us.

Kiyoko : Who're they? (Confused)

I spent some good amount of time trying to explain directions to her. But it seems that she knows nothing about this town. At last I start banging my head in annoyance.

Kiyoko : Um... I-I have a-an idea...

Me : Anything will do. Just tell me!

Taking out a leaf she first put it on her head changing her appearance then put it on my forehead chanting something changing me as well. I looked at my reflection with the help of the mirror she gave me.

Me : What the hell! Why you turned new into a boy?!

Kiyoko : (blushes) Um... No reason...

Me : Wait. You can disguise dad as well after that we can escape.

Kiyoko : No... He will find you and capture you again... Or even worse kill us all. We will have to kill him.

She drags a rock beside my dad and changes it into me after this both of us left for the mountains.

In the mountain....

How can I forget? Sensei and Jotaro are not here! We walked in anyways for surety. As expected they're not here. Getting out from the house we walked 🚶👣👣 around in the woods. The sky was clear now the sun shone brightly after the heavy rain ☔. From the woods I noticed someone laying down on the grass relaxing... There was a little kitten with him... Chiharu? Wait is that Mahiro?

He was holding Chiharu with his hands and puts his face near her's touching her nose with his nose. There was a bowl of water and a plate of sushi laying beside him... Never knew he has his side as well?... I walked towards him.

Me : Looking cute.

He gets up angrily.

Mahiro : Who are you and what are you doing here?!

Chiharu rubs her head against my leg.

Mahiro : Are you?

Me : Where were you? (Hugs him) I missed you.

He pushes me away.

Mahiro: Why roaming around like a joker?

Me : I need your help. But first let's go to sensei and Jotaro.

Few hours later....

We re-entered the castle🏰 but this time along with Mahiro and Jotaro. Kiyoko has already turned me into my original form. I was afraid that Kaito has already found us out.... And sadly it was true. He pressed his kanata against my dad's throat threateningly.

Kaito : So you came back huh?

Me : Kaito leave my dad! Am ready to marry you!

Kaito : Too late!

He was about to kill him when the room gets covered in smoke and a strong yokai aura was felt.... Kaito's hands starts shaking as he leaves my dad and looks around. Taking my dad I ask my friends to leave the place immediately as I glanced at the hundreds of yokais and their leader for ones before following my friends outside....

Jotaro : Who were they?

Me : It was... Hyakki Yako (Night parades of hundred demons) their current leader is Rikuo Nura... The successor of Nura clan...

We hear screams of Kaito.... But everything was soon silent... We assumed he was dead.... A cold wind rushes through the streets as the Yokais left the castle.

Me : I don't think this is the last time we are seeing them....sooner or later they're gonna come back.....

I watched them as they went further and further away from us before finally walking off...
