I woke up with a scream and found myself in the old shrine...

Sensei enters the room with some herbs pasted in a bowl and bandages

Kumiko : Let's hope this will bring your voice back...

She gives me those herbs and instructs me to swallow it... I did as she asked me to do.

After a while....

Me : Damn! He fooled me!

Kumiko : So a onmyouji is in town... We need to be very careful.

Me : But.... Why?.... We don't harm humans.....

Nothing was heard so I continued washing clothes... Wait something is wrong. Some of the clothes are missing 😵. I thought of a plan. Changing myself into a snake 🐍 I hid behind a nearby tree 🌳 closely observing the river.
A head popped out of the water... It's skin was green, large eyes, weird teeth... He carefully takes few of the clothes and was about to leave when I confronted him. Turning into my human form again.

Me : Freeze!!!

He drops them and looks at me scared.
A Kappa! Never saw one before. They're known to stay in river or lakes... And are said to have their powers in the middle wet part of their head... They looks like humanoid child.

Me : What do you want?!

Kappa : 😨 Please D-Don't kill me !!! I was j-just messing around. (Gulps)

Me : (threateningly) Didn't liked the joke.

Kappa : 😭 You meany!

Me : 😕😕 Wait why you crying?

Kappa : 😭😭 Cause you being mean to me.

Me : Stop being childish. 😒

Kappa : Am a child. 😑 Name Fumito nice to meet you 😗

Taking the clothes I started walking off.... When I heard humans screaming.

Me : (alert) What's going on?

Fumito : Looks like human village is being attacked by Yokais!

Me : Take me there.

Fumito : But it's too dangerous.... 😟

Me : (eyes turning snake like) Do as I told you (hisses).

Fumito : B-But the elders?! 😲 aren't you scared of being punished?!

Me : No.... Now take me there.

Fumito : Alright 😥

After a while...

A giant tsuchigumo was found attacking the villagers. Tsuchigumo aka spider yokai are usually uses trickery to openly attack on a village is not their type.

Me : That's odd..

Takes out my Kanata.

Fumito : You sure about this?

Without wasting a further word I jumped in front of the tsuchigumo and stabbed one of his eyes. He screamed in pain and gave a jerk throwing me towards the ground.
I balanced myself before getting hurt and charged towards him again... It trapped me inside his webs....

Me : Fuck 😬.

Frees myself. Cuts one of his leg off making him fall down.
He was trying to get up when I attacked him cutting him into small pieces. Putting the sword back into it's place I walked towards Fumito.

Fumito : 😮 Wow!!! That was sooo coooolllll!!!!!

Me : Let's return.

Fumito : Haiiiii!!!!!

Meanwhile....

Kumiko : Jotaro. I want you to enroll your name in Akari's school..

Jotaro : 😰 Why?!!!!

Kumiko : Cause that Onmyouji will try to harm her again.

Jotaro : You can trust me 😄.

Back at the Yokai House....

We stood in front of the elders as if two guilty mice. Getting scolded. 😶

Etsuko : Do you know how much worried we were about you two?!!

Together : Sorry......

Etsuko : Go back to your rooms!! And no dinner today for you two !

I turned my back and was about to go to my room when Fumito called me.

Fumito :  You didn't told me your name till now.

Without turning I looked at him over my shoulder.

Me : Akari.

Fumito : Can we be friend?

Me : I have been backstabbed in the name of friendship.... It would be hard to believe someone else again.

I started walking without further words.
