Rythian had been through many things. He'd been resurrected from a nuclear blast. He's gotten through saving a dinosaur, he's tried to get revenge. But this isn't what he expected at all. Martyn. His sapling was fluxed, the boy's eyes were demonic, instead of the bright blue they were not a dark and imitating purple with black around it. His once blonde hair now a dark black.

Rythian discovered this one day on his way to meet his forest friend. Who also happened to be his boyfriend. When he landed in camp he noticed something very wrong. The trees and grass were purple, and there was no sign of the lively boy. 

"Martyn!" Rythian called out. In response he got a rustle from behind him. He pulled out his katana, ready to strike. But was met by a fluxed Martyn. Rythian paled and backed away, "Martyn....no...." the boy looked at the older one. Pure rage in his eyes.

"Why didn't you save me? WHy?! Why!?!?! Rythian speak to me! Save me! Save me!!!!!" 

"I can't....this magic...its incurable Martyn, I can't save you." The smaller boy got angry, in rage and tackled the bigger one to the ground, screaming at him.

"SAVE ME SAVE ME SAVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Rythian didn't have a choice in this. He remembered what Martyn had said to him just a few weeks ago...

"Rythian....you know the flux has been getting closer to my forest." He nodded, "I'm doing all that I can to keep you safe you know that." Martyn sighed and shook his head, a odd calming wind blowing through the forest. "You know you can't protect me from everything. So promise me this."

"I promise."

"Promise me that if i get infected with anything and attack you. You will not hesitate to attack back." the mage frowned under his mask and nodded slowly.

"I promise."

He kept his promise and quickly stabbed the young boy off him. Purple blood started to ooze out of him. Martyn grew weak and fell to the ground. Whispering: "thank you."

Rythian knew the world was changing. And this was the first of many sacerfices yet to come.
