AN: based off a dream I had last night about the magic police and DunKim.

Picture this, two people. One a small black haired girl in a red dress covered with purple goo on her arms and face. And now picture a boy. Who has messy blonde hair, bright blue eyes, a purple shirt and lab coat. And goggles perched on his head. I'm...im that boy by that way. My names Duncan Jones. Now...I haven't told Kim who I also work for. Sadly its her enemy Sjin. And I work for the magic police. Now that all this is cleared up...lets continue shall we?

It was a normal day for me and Kim, that's the black haired girl in case your wondering, we were working on a cure for her. A cure for her flux. You see, a long time ago Kim had fallen into my fountain. So I took her in as apprentice. I taught her many things while she taught me how to open up. I was pretty alone in that castle-I'm getting off track again. So long story short she fell into my flux sphere. And I locked her in her tower for a hundred days. Then she came back for me and we discovered that the flux was....pretty bad.

Now. Here we are, working on a cure. But we needed an ingredient that was from the nether. "Okay Kim ready too go?" I asked as she finally flew over too the portal I had set up down up by the river. She nodded, "Come on! I wanna finally be free!!" She yelled jumping into the portal. I quickly followed afraid she might die. I cared for her with all my might. I wouldn't let anything happen to her. Right?

"Okay Kim, remember that the nether is an extremely dangerous place. Almost anything can kill you." she nodded and began to look around. We were looking for a very rare ore in here called the healing stone. Odd place to find it since this place is pretty much hell. But I'd didn't expect to find Sjin here. Not even close. And I was afraid he was looking for Kim.

"S-Sjin?" I whispered going over to him, "What the hell are you doing here?!" I whisper shouted. He turned and looked at me with a smile, "Oh hey Duncan!" I covered his mouth, "You need to leave. Please." I begged. He raised an eyebrow at me. "Why should I do that? I'm just looking for Kim or any other culprits." I mentally cursed myself.

"I'm looking for a cure for Kim. We won't have to hunt her down anymore! Please just give me a few hours!" I begged. He sighed, "Fine. Three hours to find that cure. If you don't I get to arrest Kim. Actually...you get to arrest her."

With a sigh, I nodded. Agreeing. And I ran off to find Kim or that ore. "Just three hours...what the hell wad I thinking?!" I cursed. I saw Kim and ran over grabbing her arm. She jumped and looked over. I gasped. Her blind eye was now a eerily blue. And the flux...it covered her face practically!!! I grabbed her hand, "We need to find that cure. Now." I hadn't realized how much I had been running to find her. Two of my three hours were up. "Kim...what happened?" I asked softly caressing her cheek. She began to cry into my chest, "I-I don't know!! I heard mother again Duncan! She made this happen." or Sjin did trying to ruin our life.

"We need to leave." She looked up at me, "why? Did you fine the ore?" I sighed and was about to answer...but then...I did see the ore.

"I just found it." I say happily quickly mining it. I grabbed her hand, "We need to go now. We can make the cure!" I say as loud as I can. We start running back toward the portal. Until Sjin shows up.

"Sjin?!" Kim exclaims. I hold her hand tighter, "Kim..." I say softly. Sjin grabs my arm, "We had a deal. Go on. Do it." she looks at me, I sigh tears streaming down my face. I grab her. Immediately she has tears down her eyes.

"Duncan...how could you? HOW COULD YOU?!?!?" She screams seeming to vanish In black smoke. I look around and look at Sjin. I punch his face, "YOU BASTARD. YOU MADE ME LOSE THE ONE THING I LOVED!!!!" I shove him too the ground, suddenly there's an earthquake and it stops. I look around seeing a giant spiral of flux. Leading out of the nether. I grab my sword and begin to climb.

"Kim!!" I cry reaching the top, the girl is illuminated by the glow of flux. Tears fall down her face like a waterfall. I frown and walk over too her cradling her. I keep whispering how sorry I am. And eventually the glow dies down. And her crying stops.

"I'm sorry." I whisper. She smiles softly, "Its okay...but...why?" I sigh, "Sjin made me Kim. I...was looking around and ran into him. I told him about the cure and he seemed to ger upset about it." I took her hand caressing her cheek with my other. "Kim...i love you. And I'll never leave you again." with that we both leaned in, connecting our lips.

"I love you too Duncan." When we parted I noticed her flux. It was...gone. "Kim. Its gone. The flux is gone!" She looked at her arms and smiled, "Its true!!!" We happily took each other in our arms. Never letting go. Never wanting too.

Well we had to go home eventually! So we did. And...well, a few months later I proposed. And about that flux? No one ever heard from it again. Sjin? Nobody knows. But I know one thing, I can finally cross out step four. Save Kim from the Flux.
