So I don't really participate much in "shipping". Most of the time when I use the word "ship" it's in an ironic or joking tone like if I say "I ship it" it's usually in response to something like "Hey you ever notice Team RWBY and Team SSSN share a few things in common?" or "Jeez Captain America and Iron Man/Superman and Batman fight like an old married couple." or "I really love Taco Bell." That's how I feel about the term "ship". That doesn't mean I  look down on anyone who uses the term nor do I not like the idea of characters in media that I watch being in relationships, I just don't like the term all that much. So why do I bring all this up? Well I thought I would give my opinion on varies character "ships" in RWBY (I am not blind to my hypocrisy) as a little side project. So with out further ado let's get started with the titular character herself, Ruby Rose!

Ruby X Crescent Rose - OTP! You got a problem the fit ME BRAW!!! Kidding I just find it funny that this is a thing and really it is the only thing Ruby as shown any kind of affection to that can't be argued away with something so it makes me laugh. Now serious onto the real thing.

Bouquet (Ruby X Ruby) - Why is this a thing?

White Rose (Ruby X Weiss) - Honestly I have no gripes with this and I think it could be a good relationship in show. I would be upset if this does become canon in the show right now though because it would come out of no where and currently Ruby hasn't show any interest in romance and Weiss has shown romantic feelings for Neptune but both gripes could easily be explained away.

Ladybug (Ruby X Blake) - Really this pairing's prominence baffles me. To me there hasn't been enough interaction between the two to justify it in my mind. Then there is the same thing I said about White Rose's obstacles just replace Neptune with Sun but the same thing can be used to explain them away too.

Enabler (Ruby X Yang) - No.

Lancaster (Ruby X Jaune) - I think it could work though to be honest I see Ruby and Jaune more as close friends and nothing more. I know crazy idea that two people of the opposite sex can just be friends. Blasphemy!

Sugar Rush (Ruby X Nora) - They have barely interacted in the show. Plus right now I think Nora is a Rensexual.

Milk and Cereal (Ruby X Pyrrha) - I really think that this is a missed opportunity and I wish that they had more character interactions in the show. Not as a romantic relationship but more as a mentor/mentee or big sister/little sister relationship. Just think about it, Ruby is a young girl who was pushed ahead more then one year in school and is known for her exceptional fighting skills which probably would make her feel like an outcast. Pyrrha who has and still is going through a similar situation would try and befriend Ruby and show her that there is someone here for her. Then when Volume 3 rolls around it kinda helps justify Ruby's reaction a little bit more. Then again I had the same reaction to a fictional character's death so what the hell do I know?

Crimson Lotus (Ruby X Ren) - Have they even talked to each other?

Cherry Cordial (Ruby X Coco) - Really? Okay I guess but the age difference does make me hesitant.

Vulpes (Ruby X Fox) - Same thing with Coco.

Scarlet Rose (Ruby X Velvet) - At least they have actually talked to each other unlike the rest of her teammates.

Sweetie Pie (Ruby X Yatsuhashi) - 

Crimson Wings (Ruby X Cardin) - No because Cardin is a douche.

Rosebush (Ruby X Russel) - Russel is too two dimensional for me to like any relationship with Russel which includes this one.

Gilded Rose (Ruby X Dove) - Same thing as Russel.

Rosey Sky (Ruby X Sky) - Same thing as Dove and Russel.

Strawbana (Ruby X Sun) - Nah I kinda see Sun and Blake as a better relationship then this. I do love that name though.

Scarlet Rose (Ruby X Scarlet) - A lot of people seem to like this one but to me it's kinda dumb. Have they even looked at each other let alone talk to each other?

Danshen (Ruby X Sage) - Again kinda the same as Yatsuhashi.

Red Tide (Ruby X Neptune) - Just replace Blake with Weiss and there you go.

Nuts and Dolts (Ruby X Penny) - I kinda see them more as good friends then that. Again I love the name.

Blood Magic (Ruby X Salem) - She doesn't even know Salem is a thing.

Falling Petals (Ruby X Cinder) - Some Foe Yay anybody?

Quicksilver (Ruby X Mercury) - I don't think so...

Gemstone (Ruby X Emerald) - I think she hates Ruby so no.

Strawberry Shortcake (Ruby X Neo) - I see Neo dating Yang before she will touch Ruby.

Rosewick (Ruby X Roman) - More Foe Yay?

Red Bull (Ruby X Adam) - Haha but no.

Pedobear (Ruby X Junior) - The name says it all.

Version 2 (Ruby X Melaine) - Again RT kinda shoot themselves in the foot by having the show be so rushed. I would love to see these two interacting in show but I don't think it will happen.

Prototype (Ruby X Miltiades) - Again I would love to see these two interact together. Hope I spelled their name's right.

Hoodwitch (Ruby X Glynda) - Need more screen time with Glynda. Actually more Glynda in general.

Simple Souls (Ruby X Ozpin) - Hell no.

Bloody Rose (Ruby X Summer) - That's her mom so no.

DILF and Cookies (Ruby X Taiyang) - That's her dad so no.

Flying Petals (Ruby X Raven) - No I don't think so.

Harvest Moon (Ruby X Qrow) - That's her uncle so no.

Redwoods (Ruby X Ironwood) - Hell no.

Frozen Rose (Ruby X Winter) - What Weiss isn't good enough for her?
