Yay a DC rant! So I'm going to be honest here. I liked New 52 Superman and I liked a good bit of the stories that he was in. Now I'm not saying it was a perfect run and that everyone who dislikes it is dumb. I am saying that I believe it gets more hate then it deserves.

This little tirade will focus mainly on the "Truth" story arc but I will talk about New 52 Superman more just at a later date. So basically when ever I hear somebody say they don't like Superman and I ask why a typical response is "He is too OP." or "Nobody posses a challenge to him." I personally don't agree with either of those reasons but I you do then this story is for you. In truth Superman loses a vast majority of his powers and perks. He can't fly, his invulnerability is turned down, he can't get into the fortress of solitude, and most of his add on powers (heat vision, freeze breath, super senses) are either weakened or gone. So for those who say that Supes is overpowered and he never struggles then this story may be what you are looking for.

Now to the fans who hate this again I am not insulting you with this I just don't agree with that. This is still Superman who fights for truth, justice, and freedom. He's still the big good of the DC universe. He's still doing his best to fit into his adopted planet. It's still got all the core things of Superman. Yeah his custom his a little different and gives a "darker and edgier" vibe but really it's just the costume. Yes in some of the issues he may seem a little meaner than usual but its justified given some of the recent stuff he's gone through and fans and reviewers tend to blow it a bit out of portion just because it is different from the usual stuff. I mean when you have this:

 as his usually MO then most everything in comparison will pale.
