(Ying's POV)

How did this situation get worse? I looked at (Y/N). He smiled at me. Black mist started to come from his body. He started to scream in pain.

Dye: (Y/N)! What's wrong?!

Raven: He's getting tortured by Salem.

(Y/N) jumped up into the air, completely ignoring Weiss's black glyph. He definitely got stronger.

Raven: I'm finishing this!

Dye: Not on my watch!

Grandma Raven jumped up after (Y/N) and tried to slash at him. Grandma Dye jumped up and pushed Raven away. They went into an alleyway. I looked at Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang.

Ying: You four handle (Y/N). I'll go check on those two.

Ruby: Don't worry Ying! We got this!

I nodded and went after Raven and Dye. I entered the alleyway and found them sitting on the ground.

Raven: You really like to get in my way!

Dye: I refuse to let someone kill my son!

Raven: You don't know I was going to kill him.

Dye: You're you! You're always thinking about who to kill next!

Ying: Can you two stop?!

They went quiet and looked at me.

Ying: You two have children, yet you insist on acting like babies! Why can't you two just work together?!

Dye: I won't work with Raven!

Ying: Why?!

Dye: Because she took the love of my life!

The three of us went quiet after that.

Ying: What?

Raven: It's such a stupid reason to hate me.

Dye: You shut your mouth!

Ying: What do you mean by "love of your life"?

Grandma Dye looked over at a wall.

Dye: It's your grandpa. Taiyang Xiao Long. Ever since I first met him at Beacon, I loved him. Even when my team abandoned me, he didn't. Tai stayed by my side. He's perfect, to me at least.

Dye turned her head and gave Raven a cold glare.

Dye: I still have no idea what he saw in you.

Raven: Maybe Tai isn't into psychos.

Dye: I don't think that's the reason. He picked you, remember?

Ying: Listen!

They stopped and looked at me.

Ying: I'm sorry to hear that, but that's no reason to hold a grudge against someone. You two have Maiden powers, you can do something about Salem. If you two can't get a grip and help, my dad is going to become a slave and countless of innocent people will die. The messed up future will come quicker than ever.

Grandma Dye and Raven looked at each other. They both activated their Maiden powers.

Dye: This will be the only time I'll work with you.

Raven: If the situation was any different, I would've killed myself.

They stood up and rushed out the alleyway. I started to fist bump the air in celebration.

Ying: I got them to work together! I'm the best!

I ran out of the alleyway. I saw Blake throw her weapon and her ribbon wrapped around (Y/N)'s leg. Yang grabbed the ribbon and pulled on it, causing (Y/N) to fall over and hit the ground.

Blake: It feels weirdly natural to work with you guys.

Ruby: Yeah Blake. Like I said, we got this.

(Y/N) got up. He started to laugh lightly.

(Y/N): Guess who's here.

I looked at him and he smirked.

Ying: Be careful!

I looked up and saw a blast of fire. Everyone jumped back to dodge it. I looked up and saw Cinder standing on top of a building. She's using her Maiden powers.

Raven: Cinder.

Cinder: Raven.

Raven: This time, I'll finish the job.

Dye: Not if I finish it first.

Raven and Dye jumped up to fight Cinder. I looked at (Y/N). We both got ready to fight. I took a deep breath. Just think of this as another training session with dad. He disappeared from my line of sight.

Ying: What the-

I quickly turned around and saw (Y/N) there. He got way faster. He punched me in the gut. I gasped for air and took a few steps back.

Ying: Definitely... Not holding back.

He kicked me down. I felt tears form in the corner of my eyes.

(Y/N): It's past your bedtime.

He was about to kick me, but Yang got in front of me and caught his foot.

Yang: This is going to stop. Even if that means me knocking you out.

(Readers POV)

Salem: It's about time that you stop playing around and kill them.

I felt even more pain shoot to my head. I just want this to stop. I can't take much more of this. I looked at Yang. I can tell she is being serious. I looked behind her and looked at Ying.

Salem: Stop slacking and finish them.

(Y/N): ...No.

Yang: What?

Salem: That's not an option.

The pain got worse. I held my head.

(Y/N): Get out of my head! Once I find you Salem, I'll make you pay for this!

Ying: Please dad. Come back to us.

Salem: You do entertain me. Thinking you have a chance. I can kill you right now if I wanted to.

(Y/N): I'll find a way out of your control!

I fell to my knees from the pain. It started to course through my entire body.

Yang: Ruby! I have an idea!

I was able to look up and saw Ruby, Weiss, and Blake standing next to Yang.

Yang: (Y/N). How did Salem take control of you?

(Y/N): It was... A Grimm mosquito. It put something inside of me.

Ying: Aren't mosquitoes suppose to take stuff out?

Yang: Ruby. Use your eyes.

Ruby looked at me. I gave her a nod. She nodded back at me and closed her eyes. She opened them and they started to glow. I closed my eyes. I get the pain slowly start to fade away.

Salem: You will pay-

Her voice went away. Finally, she stopped talking. I opened my eyes and looked up.

Yang: (Y/N)... Are you there?

I slowly stood up. I smiled to myself.

(Y/N): Ha... You fools!

Ying: It didn't work?!

Weiss: This is just great.

(Y/N): Thanks to that trick, (Y/N) is gone and I, Salem, is all that there is left!

Yang: I'll make you pay!

Yang grabbed the collar of my shirt and reeled her fist back.

(Y/N): Wait wait wait! I'm just joking with you! It's me, (Y/N)!

Yang stopped and hugged me. Ying, Ruby, and Weiss joined in the hug. This certainly gets my mind of the pain. I felt someone hit me on the back of my head.

(Y/N): OW!

Yang: That's for messing with us!

I felt another hit on the head.

Ying: That's for making us worry!

I got another hit to the head.

Ruby: That's for the joke not being funny!

I got hit one more time.

Weiss: And that was for being an idiot.

I rubbed my head, trying to soothe the pain.

(Y/N): Alright alright. Message received.

Yang: You really need to work on your jokes.

(Y/N): It was funny.

Ying: It really wasn't.

They all broke the group hug. I heard a crash behind me. I looked behind and saw Cinder in a small crater in the ground.

Dye: That was child's play.

Raven: Let's finish her off.

Cinder: It can't... End like this.

I laughed to myself.

(Y/N): Way to go mom. You really showed her not to mess with the (L/N) family.

Dye: I try my best.

I heard Cinder start to laugh. It's kinda creeping me out.

Cinder: Salem... Is here.

What?! Everyone turned around. I saw Salem standing there.

Salem: You all have been a hinderance long enough.
