The rain was still pouring down the earth and let the world cool down for a moment. Raindrops running down the leaves from the trees and making the earth to mud.
While the clouds turn the baby blue sky into a greyish storm for a while.
It would have been a pleased experience a evening with rain in a warm cave but it wasn't.

A girl was looking up at the sky while the raindrops run down her face and made it colder then it is.
"I don't know why but right now, it comforts me."
She mumbles under her breath as she stepped into the cave as she saw Ayanokouji waiting for Horikita to wake up.

Amber eyes locked eyes with her own as he waves her to him.
"You will get a cold when you stay outside."
He told her and saw how her clothes were wet from all the rain.

"Don't worry, Suzune is sick not me."
She adds and walks to his side as she sat down next next him.

Her eyes were watching the black haired girl who was laying on the cold floor and fighting against the fever.
"You will get sick after her when you continue like this."
He adds as he looks at her from the corner of his eyes.

Y/N turns to look at him for a short moment as she leans her head on his shoulder since her head was still hurting.
Kiyotaka brought his hand to touch her forehead as he feels the warm from her skin against his.
"Does your head still hurt?"

She was answering with a quiet nod and closing her eyes at the cold feeling of his hand.
His hand was moving on his own onto her eyes and let her use his hand as a cold towel.
"You should let it check out from a doctor to make sure it's nothing."
His voice was perfectly for her ears as he wasn't to loud nor to quiet.

"Thank you.."
The girl whispers as she leans closer to him while he wraps his other arm around her shoulder to keep her close sad stable.
"For what?"
He asks her with his usual emotionless voice until his eyes widen a bit from the surprise small peck on his hand as she had pulled it down her face to hold it as she mumbles sleepy.

"For letting me be a part in your precious life.."
She mumbles as she felt something wet was running down her nose as she collapsed against Kiyotaka.

Ayanokouji grabbed her tightly as he saw blood was slowly running down her nose and she fainted against him.

'She must have indicate a serious head injury or brain injury, including a fractured skull or her nose got injured.'

As he thought about what to do - his hand immediately grabbed a tissue from his pocket and put it in her nose to stop her bleeding before it becomes dangerous.

"What should I do with you?"
He whispers emotionless with a bit of frustration.

As he feels the blood on the nose stopped and check it to be sure, he throws the tissue away.

After this short accident Suzune starts to wake up and he explains what happens to her.
With Horikita's illness getting worse, Kiyotaka asks her to withdraw from the test. But Suzune refuses that and says that losing the card was her fault and it was because she didn't have any friends.

Suzune didn't regonize Y/N at all since she was so quiet and sleeping a bit away from her.
Thanks to Kiyotaka who was next to her and talking to Horikita while he helps her to fall asleep - more like he cuts off her blood flow to make her unconscious.

As black haired girl lost her conscious Ayanokouji let her lay down and walked towards Y/N to check on her.
He knees in front of her and pull her gently into a sitting position as he grabs her head.

'I need to wake her up.'

"Y/N, wake up."
Kiyotaka told her as his eyes remain on her face and check for any serious injury sides on her head.

After a few seconds her eyes open and looks at directly in the eyes of the boy.
His warm breath could she feel on her face as he opens her eyes a bit to check her pupils.
"How are you feeling?"
He asks her while she lets him do everything to towards her right now.

"I'm tired and my head hurts as well my nose."
She mumbles and lifts her hand to touch her nose but Ayanokouji grabbed her wrists tightly before she could touch her nose.
"Don't touch it, can you walk next to me?"

Y/N was a bit confused as she stares at the brunette and tries to stand up with the help of the boy.
After few minutes she regains her strength a bit back and nods gently.
"I think I can. Where are we going?"
She asks him as she watches him lifting Horikita in his arms as he starts to carry her bride style out the cave.

"We bring her to the Teachers camp and I will let you also there."
He tells hers while they walked next to each other.

The girl rubs her eyes like a toddler as she pouts a bit while she looks at him.
"You are evil."
She mumbles and looks to the side while he looks at her from the corner of his eyes.

'A strange way to show jealousy..'

After awhile they arrived at the teachers camp and one of them took Suzune while Ayanokoji grabbed the shoulders of Y/N and pushes her gently towards the teachers camp.
"We see us after this ends."
He whispers into her ear as he pulls away to writing something down.

Her eyes catch the words 'Leader switching' as she watches him walk back towards camp D and letting her back at the teachers camp.

"Y/N, come. We need to check your head since Ayanokouji told me you had a serious nosebleed."
Sae Chabashira told her when the girl turned around and nods.

The check up didn't take long only an hour as her teacher let her sleep tonight at the infirmary before she can go back to her room on the ship.
While Y/N was sleeping, Chabashira was holding a box of pills and read the name of it loud out: "Midazolam".

'Since when she takes them?'

A question that needs an answer as fast as possible.

On the final day, the students clean up their campground and the classes guess the leaders with class-B opting not to make any guesses. Kiyotaka then gives a sulking Hirata a list of the other class' leaders and the latter puts down the names on the list.

The results are revealed, and the winner is class-D with 225 points, followed by class-B with 140 points, class-A with 120 points, and class-C with 0 points. The students return to the cruise ship whiile watching from the ship, Horikita is very surprised with the survival test's results and wonders how it occurred.

Suzune catches up to and questions Kiyotaka while on the other side of the ship Y/N was getting bad news from her teacher Sae Chabashira.

Sitting on the bed in the infirmary and listening to her teacher - her eyes wide from shock.
"Y/N, since when you take this?"
She asks her and lifts the box of pills in her left hand as she watches the girl got confused from the way she asked her.

"I take them since I'm a kid, why?"
She states and stares back at her teacher while slowly steps towards the young girl to hit her shoulder with the box of pills.

"Midazolam is a drug that creates temporary anterograde amnesia.
As long you take them you will not remember a thing about your past.
I think someone tries to make you 'forget', 'delete' something from your life."
Chabashira explains as she shows the girl a article about the experiments with Drug Amnesia.

Her eyes widen and grabs the tablet while she wipes through it while she tries to read it.
"I must say this 'someone' is very clever and doesn't shy away from going over the law. No matter what it is, this 'someone' sees you still as a precious experiment."
Sae states and threw the pills in the trashcan.

"From now on don't take them.
The nosebleed, dizziness and headache came from that because you haven't take them for a week.
Chabashira explains and pats the shoulder as a comfort for her student.
"Think about it when you are alone. Now return to your class and celebrate your victory."
She whispers and starts to walk out the room while she lets the girl alone for few minutes.

Holding her head in her hands as she stares down at the floor while she tries to understand everything.
"I need to find out the truth...Chabashira is right."
She mumbles as she stood up to look out the window.

The sun was going down slowly while it turns towards the night.
"But today I will try to relax..just for today atleast."
Turning her head towards the bed where the tablet laid as she nods confidently in herself.
"I promise you my younger self to find the truth out and do everything to win."

Meanwhile by the brunette everyone was celebrating Horikita for her great idea to win even it was more Kiyotaka's doing then hers yet no one needs to know.
As he was watching everyone surrounded Horikita and praise her someone was approaching him while he wondered where Y/N was.
It was Kushida who stood next to him and start a conversation.

"Horikita-san sure is popular, huh?"

"I suppose she is."

"I really do hate her ... Because, for better or worse, she has no hidden side. She's the opposite of me."
Kushida reveals that she hates Horikita because she wasn't as double faced as herself.

"Most people are like that. As am I."
He states and everything turned quiet between them before she ruined the silence and spoke;
"Hey, Ayanokōji-kun."

"Yes?"

"If you had to choose between me and Horikita-san ... you'd choose her, wouldn't you?"

"Dunno."
He answers vaguely as his thoughts went to Y/N shortly before the voice of Kushida interrupt his thoughts.

"Hmm ... Meanie. Hmmpphh-"

His phone was vibrating in his pocket as he lifts to check who was it, he saw a text from his teacher:
Meet me at the theatre

Much later, Ayanokōji meets with his teacher Chabashira who compliments his actions as he demands to know who was it that wanted him expelled as he won't play games without proof.
Chabashira reveals she was aware of his past which is proof enough as she starts to compare Kiyotaka to Icarus. She soon states it was his father who requested he be expelled though the latter said Kiyotaka would leave on his own accord.

Chabashira soon asks him on what he plans to do now, to which vaguely answers as she laughs at his response.

"Before you go Icarus or should I call you Achilles. I must say your father is interesting person who knows your heel perfectly and uses it against you. You shouldn't leave your heel uncovered who knows what they mind do to her."
She tells him vaguely about Y/N yet she hides the fact about the drug amnesia that his father did to the poor girl.
With this the boy walked away.

It was already evening and Y/N was outside the theatre sitting on bench to relax as she enjoys the peaceful atmosphere while she drinks her cold cup of light Coke.
Before a boy with blonde her appeared in front of her as he sat down in front of her across on the other bench.
"May may, who we have here all alone?"
Koenji says with his usual attitude and sips of his drink.

Y/N was surprised to see him and gave him a warm smile.
"I was just relaxing from the rough week. May I ask you something?"
She says softly and watches him who seemed in her presence relaxed.

"You can ask me everything you want."
He told her shortly with a proud smirk as his eyes locked with the girls in front of him.

"Why you left so fast the Island?
You wouldn't had a problem to survive a week in the nature."
Y/N asks him curiously as she tilts her head innocently and watches him.

Koenji let's a loud laugh out and leans forward to put his elbows on his knees.
"If i would say for selfish reasons?
But this wouldn't satisfy you, Firefly.
I just want to be myself and continue to spend my days of freedom."
He told her truthfully and stares in the eyes of the girl.

'Did he just call me firefly?'

"I understand your reason,
Freedom is very precious and shouldn't be taken for granted."
She says and finished her glass of coke as Koenji gave Y/N a smile.
"If you need anything, call me firefly, I may answer you."
He adds and grabs her hand as he lowers his head to kiss her knuckles.

This act made the girl speechless and blush lightly at the act of the blonde Tarzan.
"I wish you a beautiful night, firefly."
With this words he bid his goodbye and walked away.

'This guy..he is egoistic and can't work with other well yet because of his unpredictable nature it makes him interesting. He can turn the tables however he wants against his oppressor, kinda of reminds me a bit -'

"What are you doing here?"
A familiar voice interrupt her thoughts as she turns around to see Kiyotaka Ayanokouji in his glory standing there with his boring expression.

"I wanted to enjoy some alone time but you can join me if you want and play some games on my phone."
She lifts her phone to show it to him as before he could walk towards her and join her - a voice stopped him in his tracks.

"I fi- ... Finally found you."
A female voice could be heard and this one was familiar.
It was Suzune and Ayanokouji wasn't in the mood to talk to her but like always never showed it.

His eyes catch Y/N's for a moment as she smiles at him warmly and nods towards where the voice came to talk to Suzune who was downstairs and the boy upstairs.
The boy turns towards Suzune and looks down at her as he starts to speak to her:
"You again? What is it now?"

'He seems not being in the mood to socialise right now..understandable after all this week..'

Y/N listen to the conversation and giggles quietly how obvious it was that Horikita likes Ayanokouji.
She smiles softly and turns towards her coke in her hands as she looks up at the starry sky not knowing what right now the boy thought.

Ayanokouji stood in front of Suzune as he lets her talk on and on about the fact that she sees him now as an ally.

'But, Horikita ...
I've never once thought of you as an ally.

Not you.

Not Kushida.

Not Hirata.

All people are nothing but tools.
It doesn't matter how it's done.
It doesn't matter what needs to be sacrificed.
In this world, winning is everything.
As long as I win in the end...
That's all that matters.'

After he ends the conversation between them and watches Horikita walk away, he turns around and joins Y/N on the bench.
"We should become stargazers."
She states cutely as she points at the starry night sky.

Kiyotaka watches and listens to her while he sees this smile on her face that he remembered clearly from their childhood days.

"Why stargazers?"
The brunette asks her and leans back while he enjoys the first time to look at the stars in his life.

Y/N looks at him and pinch his cheek while she smiles brightly.
"Because every time we spend time together is often night times where no one is alive."
She jokes a bit and keeps the mood lightly.

Enjoying the here and now was Y/N specialty as she was happy in the moment to spend more time with Ayanokouji.
It was enough for her to be in the presence of him as long as possible for her and this didn't went unrecognised by the boy next to her.

This was one of the traits he admires the most in her personality even as a kid he could see that, maybe this was one of the reasons he couldn't manipulate or was it more he didn't want to do it.
He never thought to manipulate her and use her like a tool not even understanding why he never did it but this was a different story.

She got that hometown smile and that look in your eyes, that always said;
"Oh, every-thing will one day be alright"
A reassurances and understanding smile that Ayanokouji never wanted to dissappear.

Deep in thoughts and unknown to him a small smile appeared on his face, so light that no one could see it.

Before he could stop himself, Ayanokouji grabbed her neck gently and rubs with his thumb over her chin.
As the girl was surprised - he leans closed to her.
Warmth blossomed in Y/n's chest, sparks igniting as Kiyotaka leaned in close, lips brushing together, tentatively, for the first time.
The smell of his perfume, of the soft, sakura scent of his shampoo, was dizzying, butterflies dancing in her stomach.
But warmth consumed her as she leaned into the kiss, Kiyotaka's lips impossibly soft against her own.

Both were completely lost and the world around them was blurred as Kiyotaka was thinking;

'As long as I win in the end and have my motivation by my side...
that's all that matters..'
