Hi hi!  Hello my lovely readers!  Looks who's back from the dead!  Hahahaha.....ha..... 😓  I am so very sorry for not updating in, what has it been?  Over a month?   Heh.... I really am truly sorry for not updating for you all.  Unlike most people, summer time is actually a rather busy and stressful time for me and any free time that I have is dedicated to me having well, me time.  I really do sincerely apologize for this, I really have no good reason for not being here for majority of the summer other than me being lazy when I did have free time.  I won't go into the details, but let's just say that my summer was NOT the most relaxing thing ever for me.  In addition to this, I also left the AnY fandom for a VERY long time, which left this story at a rather low point in my to-do list.  Again, I can't apologize enough for this just, know that I am very sorry for the long wait and I appreciate all of you who have been so patient with both this story and me.  Thank you so, so much, it really means a lot to me.  Anyway, before I get too off topic, let's start zhe story!

Jae-ha's POV
"Zeno, for the last time, we are not there yet!!!!!!" Yun yells at the impatient yellow dragon
"But Zeno is tired" he whines while lazily following the group
"We just took a break a few minutes ago!"
"B-But-!"
"No buts! We have to get to the village before sundown" Yun scolds him before walking back towards the front of the group to help Shin-ah navigate
"Wahhhh!" Zeno whines and grumbles, but still follows the group
"We'll be there soon Zeno" Yona reassures him while gently patting him on the back

"Do you see anything Shin-ah?" Yun asks after he makes his way back to the front
Shin-ah just shakes his head slightly and Yun sighs in response.
"Are you sure we are heading the right way?" Hak bluntly asks
"Yes! I've already answered that question 5 times today!" Yun shouts; starting to get impatient
"Yun-kun, we've been in this forest for a while now, maybe we should stop to regroup." I suggest but Yun just glares at me before turning away to ignore me.
"I don't think that's a good idea" Kija tells me, "we've been getting attacked a lot lately" Kija pauses to glare at Huan, "and stopping wouldn't be something that would work in our favor."
"I agree with Kija, but I also think that Jae-ha brings up a good point" Yona pipes up

"I have an idea, Huan dear and I will go and scout out the area while you continue walking"
"Why me-"
"No" Yun bluntly states; cutting Huan off in the process
"I actually think that's a good idea" Kija ignores Yun then mumbles, "the bad luck does seem to follow Huan anyway..."
"Ok, so droopy eyes and Huan will go scout out from above while the rest of us try to navigate from here.  Let's meet back up when the sun is highest in the sky" Hak instructs us and everyone nods in agreement, though I noticed that Yun was rather reluctant to agree.

"Come on Huan dear" I offer my hand to Huan. She rolls her eyes but takes it anyway. The moment she grabs my hand, I smirk and pull her into my arms so I am carrying her bridal-style as I jump into the air.
"Ah!" She shouts as we start to soar above the treetops

"Don't worry Huan dear, I'll hold you close" I send a playful wink at her and she just rolls her eyes in response
She sighs, "Let's just scout the area out so we can get back to the others"
"Aw, I'm hurt, Huan dear."
"Ugh, let's just get this over with" she says while looking away.  But, looking at her, I can tell that something is... Off.  I start to descend downwards; aiming to land on a tree branch.

"Jae-ha we don't have time for this." Huan protests as we land on a branch and I set her down so we are sitting side-by-side on the branch
"What's wrong?"
Huan looks at me with a startled expression before looking away to stare at her lap.  "I don't know what you're talking about"
"Don't give me that.  What's wrong?"
"Nothing!  Jae-ha, can we just finish this so we can get back?"
"Is this this about Yun?"
Judging by her shocked expression, it seems that I have hit the mark.  She bites her lower lip and clenches her hands into fists.
"Did something happen?"
"..... Do you promise not to tell the others?" She mumbles in a quiet tone
I simply nod in response.

Huan sighs and turns her head to look at me.  "Yun has been trying to confess to me."
I give her a confused look, "Why is that a bad thing?  Do you not feel the same?"  Saying those words, I can feel a twisting feeling in my stomach, maybe, just maybe.....
"W-Well...." She blushes and my heart drops at the sight.  "I may have feelings for him..... Just...."
I can feel the pain in my chest now.....  She...  I take a deep breath...  'You knew that they had feelings for each other from the beginning.... You were just hoping it wasn't true'

"Just what?" I ask
"Just.... I...." She takes a deep breath, "I'm the Yin Warrior and-"
"Huan, I've already told you.... This thing about you being cursed isn't true"
"It's not that..... But being the Yin warrior, and living alone for many years. I had to make a living, and the only thing I'm really good for is.... Killing people...."
".....Your point is?" I ask, thinking of all the bad people our group killed in order to bring peace to the people of Kouka

"You don't understand Jae-ha.....  The people you and the others have killed have been for the benefit of others; for a good cause.  Me... Well I.... I have killed many innocent people to gain money for myself.  I can't even remember how many innocent lives I have taken away; how many lives I've destroyed.  I have been a temporary member of many assassin guilds, and been a part of a few bandit raids.  The damage I've done.... It can't be undone, and the worst part is..... A small part of me.... Liked it...  The feeling of revenge against humanity for the crimes it committed against me, my family, my friend.... It's disgusting.... But I can't deny the fact that it felt... Good.... And I-.... Yun... He doesn't know any of this... He really doesn't know me.... And I don't want him to be disappointed when he realizes that I'm.... I'm a monster-"

I cut her off by pulling her into a hug.  She is tense at first but she soon starts to sob into my chest; gripping the fabric of my clothing.
"Shhh.... It's ok..." I run my hand through her shiny, black hair.  'Even if I can't be there for her as her lover.... I want to still be in her life... Even if that means that I'm only a friend to her.... And even if it means that I'm just her shoulder to cry on.... At least I still can stand by her.... I just hope that Yun will be able to take care of her for me...'
