After everyone got suited into their dorms, Horikoshi gave them permission to do whatever they wanted until bed. Yuki decided to go outside for a breather.

She was messing around with new techniques for her quirk when Shoto soon walked up to her and watched. She hadn't noticed his presence until he spoke

"Why are you out in the cold by yourself?" he asked concerned. "Why are you worried about it?" Yuki replied with an irritated tone. She's always disliked her father, well not always. They were close before she got her quirk

"No need for rudeness Yuki" Shoto said calmly as he sighed at her attitude. "Look.... can you just leave me alone? please." Yuki said as she walked off. Shoto followed behind her as if he were a puppy. "Why are you always pushing me away?" he said with a hint of sadness in his voice. "The same reason why you never let me be ME" Yuki said as she walked faster

Shoto's eyes widen at what she said. He didn't quite understand what she meant but in a way he did. "Don't look at me like that dammit! You're so far up your own ass that you don't even care about the people around you. You don't care about me!" Yuki said angrily. "You never once asked me what I wanted or who I want to be! You say you hated being caged up all your life but that's exactly what you're doing to me! You're no fucking better than your dad" she shouted

"Don't you talk to me that way! I am your father and will be treated with respect! And you shouldn't talk about something you have no idea about" Shoto shouted back. Yuki growled and crossed her arms. "I'll start treating you like a dad when you start acting like one"

Shoto and Yuki had a starring contest with one another. And after about 5 minutes of starring Yuki spoke, "Fight me" she said nonchalantly. "What?" Shoto questioned. "I said fight me dammit!" she shouted loud enough for him to hear. She got into a fight stance and attempted to punch him. Of course he dodged the attack by grabbing her arm firmly

Yuki had an irritated look on her face as she tried using her other hand. Shoto dodged her move again by grabbing her other arm. She then resorted to kneeing him in the gut, Shoto was sent flying back a little from the force. He clenched onto his gut tightly and eyed Yuki, she had a grin on her face.

"If that hurt you maybe you should forfeit now" she said returning the deadly gaze. Shoto smirked at her words and sent fire her way. She tried blocking it with an ice wall but failed as she just barely dodges his attack.

"Your mouth is gonna be the downfall of you someday Yuki" he said with a small grin. That sent Yuki over the edge, she ran up to the multicolor haired man and landed a punch on him. He stumbled back from the impact of the blow and wiped the blood from his mouth.

After awhile of fighting Yuki was bruised. She had temporary cuts and scars on her and her breathing was heavy. Shoto on the other wasn't that bruised, his breathing was just heavy.

(pretend its Yuki and not Bakugou)

"Maybe... you should... give up... Yuki" Shoto said in between his short breaths. "That's the difference between me and you dad... I don't give up!" Yuki said with determination as she sent another ice attack at Shoto. She was on the verge of passing out but kept herself standing. He dodged the attack again

Yuki and Shoto had yet another starring contest, the only thing that was heard were the sounds of their heavy breaths and the calming sounds of the night. Shoto then decided to break the silence

"Yuki... just talk... to me" he said softly. She hesitated before talking, "Ever since the day I got my quirk.... you've changed..." Yuki said holding her head down as her black bangs covered her eyes.

* FLASHBACK *

"Now that you finally have your quirk we can train you to be the best" Shoto said as he patted young Yuki on the head. "But I want to go out and play with my friends" 4 year old Yuki pouted. "Look at me Yuki" Shoto said as he kneeled down to her level of height. "You're a Todoroki. And being so comes with great responsibility" he said as he kissed her forehead

[ A Few Years Later ]
Shoto and 10 year old Yuki were training. "How can you call yourself a Todoroki if you can't even complete a simple task?!" Shoto said harshly. Yuki was breathing heavy from the overuse of her quirk. "I'm- I'm sorry... I'll try harder next ti-" was all she could her out before Shoto interrupted her

"When you become a hero there won't be next times Yuki! Now... AGAIN!" he said as she kept repeating the ice technique over and over again.

* END OF FLASHBACK *

Yuki clenched her fists together and held back her tears. "You're never proud of me! Even when I give it my all on something.... You always find something to degrade me on" she said through gritted teeth. Shoto stood there with hurt in his eyes, he didn't know she felt that way. "Yuki I-" he said before stopping

"I'm sorry I'm not the perfect child you want me to be... I'm- I'm sorry that I'm such a disappointment to you!" she shouted through her light cries as tears rolled down her face.

Shoto walked over to Yuki without her noticing and pulled her into a hug. There was a comforting silence as the two shared a hug. "Yuki... I'm sorry" Shoto said softly as he patted her head and pulled her closer into the hug

Yuki was a little taken back by the sudden affection her father was showing her. "I had no idea you felt this way... I just- I just want you to be the best because I want you to be better than me.." he said keeping his soft tone

Shoto let out a sigh. "Will you ever forgive me..?" he asked. Yuki hugged him tightly and tried silencing her cries. "I- I forgive you!!" she said wiping her tears. "I'm sorry to dad... I've been hard on you... even if I saw you trying... I- I love you" she said as her voice cracked a bit

Shoto's eyes widen as he heard what she said, but he didn't hesitate to say it back. "I love you too Yuki" he said as he kissed her head
