Darkness and what lies ahead

One evening, ink tinted my heart
Staining everything I once had in my life..
It wasn't much, but it was worth the tears.
The darkness remolded it's veins
And kissed it's lovely blood with something that can never be erased.

I love how the darkness devoured me in whole,
And how no one spared me a second glance..
I should be unhappy, but I'm not.
I should be crying, but I'm not.
I am the daughter of something so sinister the world couldn't handle it any longer.
I am the queen of night fall, and the first given bliss of twilight.

My eyes overlooked the emptiness
And embraced the evil inside.
My hands shook with tragedy
And fell in love with he who cannot be loved by man.
This is the night that touched my soul..
My savior and my enemy;
My redemption and damnation;
I devoted a part of me to the dark,
And was resurrected into something more.
