Environmental Requirements

As a highly adaptable species the Yeshuian have no specific environmental requirements because they eventually adapt to the environments around them.

Sexes

Agender
Agender Yeshuians are genderless. In other words they do not posses any reproductive organs. They can sometimes have physical appearances as one of the other genders, but generally appear androgynous.

Male
Male Yeshuians possess male reproductive organs and masculine qualities. The Male Yeshuian also carries and produces male gametes.

Female
Female Yeshuians possess female reproductive organs and female qualities. The female Yeshuian also carries female gametes and births the offspring.

Reproduction

Yeshuian reproduction is generally very similar to human reproduction. However, there are a few differences. For example, the Yeshuian gestation period is 25 weeks shorter than human gestation and as a result Yeshuian infants are born much smaller than human infants. Newly born Yeshuians could fit in the palm of a human hand. Another difference is that Yeshuians must first have a telepathic bond (will be discussed in later chapters) with the person they reproduce with. Without that bond the zygote does not develop properly. Aside from these differences, human and Yeshuian reproduction processes are very similar.

Extraterrestrial Abilities

Yeshuians have telepathic and empathic abilities. Their telepathic abilities have direct connections to both their biology and psychology. As stated above Yeshuians require a telepathic bond to reproduce. Their telepathic abilities can also have physical strain on their bodies of over-exerted. For them they can hear anybody's thoughts in their general area and it's not something they can "turn-off", in other words they always hear what's around them. It's as if they are listening to multiple "radios" at once. To be able to listen to a specific "station" they have to focus and block all the others out, this can sometimes be exhausting. It also depends on someone's "willingness to be heard". With non-telepathic races, they can be harder to read if they are extremely private. However, with non-telepathic races such as humans, are much easier to read because they think "louder" than other races. When it comes to other telepathic races, communication is much easier and less... complicated. However, with touch telepathic races such as Vulcans,  they are impossible to read unless they allow their minds to be read. Their empathic abilities are more sensitive and a little less complicated. They can use this ability similar to a sense of smell. If someone is extremely distraught they can feel it, as if they are smelling a strong smell. However, is someone has a general consistent mood they become accustomed to it and become "numb" to it. Both their telepathic and empathic abilities do not depend on touch to operate, but are enhanced by touch.

Additionally, Yeshuians have a very unique way of learning foreign languages. As a highly adaptive race they have developed the telekinetic ability to learn an entire language in seconds. Their method of language learning is called Shálish. The process involves a telepathic connection with physical touch. A Yeshuian initiates a shálish by essentially "kissing" a native speaker of the language they wish to learn. To Yeshuians this physical connection does not have the same cultural significance as is does with humans. To them the process of "kissing" is merely a way of learning a language. The reason the physical action of a  Shálish is necessary is because it allows the Yeshuian to become familiar with the anatomy of the speaker. Becoming briefly familiar with the anatomy gives the Yeshuan the context in which the speaker forms their spoken language. Along with the physical aspect of the shálish there is also a telepathic connection made. The telepathic connection allows the Yeshuian to essentially learn the speaker's language in how they attach meaning to the sounds they make. A shálish is a relatively short process and is only applicable to spoken languages. For other forms of language the Yeshuian use different methods.

External Appearances

Distinctive Features

Most obviously the Yeshuians have distinctively pale white skin and matching colorless hair. Another distinctive physical feature is their lavender colored eyes that have a tendency to stand out against their otherwise colorless appearance. Internal distinctive features include their metal like skeletal structure and silver toned blood.

Racial Sub-divisions

Er'exians
For the most part the Yeshuians are not a very diverse people. However, there exists one racial sub-division known as the Er'exians. They are nearly identical to Yeshuians in every way. The only differences between the two races is that Er'exians are communicate only by telepathy, have pitch black eyes, and born with naturally grayed hair.

Er'exians are seen as superior to Yeshuians. They live separately from the Yeshuians in their own society. Their relations to the Yeshuians are good and peaceful. The Yeshuians have great admiration for the Er'exian's wisdom. The two races respect one another and live separately by choice. The Er'exians are small in number and prefer to stay that way, but it is not forbidden for them to leave if they wish.

Average Anatomy

The average Yeshuian stands at the height of 4'6 and weigh almost three times as much as the average human. With a metal based skeleton structure and metallic based blood they are over all more dense than humans. Internally they posses a similar anatomies to human. However, a Yeshuian heart is much larger and located lower in the chest cavity compared to humans. Since their blood is based on an unknown metallic substance their blood takes a metallic silver appearance when both oxygenated and deoxygenated. Due to this bruises taken on different shades of black to grey when healing. In regards to the healing process, Yeshuians heal much slower than humans. Also it should be noted that a broken Yeshuian bone can often be fatal and always requires surgery to fix. Because their skeletal structure it's based on metallic like substance their bones are extremely sturdy and are only broken under extreme pressure. If the rib cage is broken, in most cases it can be fatal.

Medical Conditions

Generally, Yeshuians are extremely biologically adaptable to any environment. Their bodies take up to roughly 5 hours to completely adapt to their surroundings. Because of their advanced adaptability their immune system is incredibly strong and destroys any virus or toxin that enters their system. However, their immune system is susceptible to some viruses, namely the human flu virus. For unknown reasons that's the only know virus that effects Yeshuians.

As far as actual medical conditions that Yeshuians deal with one well known condition is gray hair. Naturally Yeshuian hair remains white for their entire life. Extreme stress or trauma can cause their hair to grey and will remain that way, similar to scaring.

In general Yeshuians internalize stress and go through extensive training on learning how to deal with it since stress has serious physical effects on them.
