Well, isn't this lovely?

Annabeth was in my cabin for reasons I wasn't sure of but I had to grab my wallet and head into the city to get something decent from my house for my date that I sort of have tonight.

"Hey, Annabeth," I state, earning her attention as I step into my room," what are you doing here?"

"Looking for you, actually!" She told me like for a change she wasn't dreading seeing me and calling me an idiot.

Weird.

"Okay," I remarked," I don't have a lot of time, but what's up?"

She asked me out on a date and before I could say anything my phone starts ringing. My mom. Just asking what time I'd be there, she was on her way home from work.

"Give me like 20 minutes," I told my mom and she said okay, then asked what I needed the nice clothes for. I do have some, but we need to make sure it fits before I go on this date shirtless with Nico. So I told her it was for a date, I agreed to go out on a date with somebody today and quickly realized I had nothing here for it. Which got her really excited.

I think that gave Annabeth the wrong message, because she flirted with me in her goodbye. She even blew me a kiss.

I was going to go talk to Grover and them but that didn't happen. Annabeth was with them and she said something and the pity I saw, I was not getting involved. So Jason dragged me off to his cabin.

I could still barely believe what happened ten minutes ago. Percy was in charge of dinner, I told him I had plans for after dinner because he told me reservations were made at 6 and there's this finding Nemo and finding dory movie thing playing tonight in town for $5 a person. It's not huge , but I know he loves those movies and there's a dessert bar from what I hear there for free. And it was on those movie theaters for friends or couples to go to, so it wasn't individual seats but just one huge seat and I was excited about that. The place sounded really nice. And it's a first date. My first ever and our first, so if I risked something huge it could backfire because I know what he likes, yeah, but it's just something you wouldn't risk on a first date, I wouldn't think.

But since was excited. I was really happy he didn't freak out on me or anything when Percy found me at the creek. It would be an amazing night, I made sure of that.

"Did you hear?" Jason asked me like he was worried.

"Probably not. What are you asking about?"

"Percy," Jason explained to me," he has a date tonight. And people are saying it's with Annabeth..."

I used to cringe at the thought of them together, but now knowing Percy is gay, I started to laugh.

"Nico... Are you okay?" Jason asked me," do you need me to get your sister?"

I assure him that I couldn't be better after hearing that and explained that Percy didn't have the date with Annabeth for so many reasons.

So of course he lets me go and whatnot. Annabeth seemed kind of sad, I couldn't tell you why. But I headed to my cabin and started getting ready for the date. Which meant I had to iron one of my shirts.

I hate ironing. It's so annoying and it takes too damn long.

But I had to do it, and I did. Found some nice pants, sock, shoes. All that fun stuff. I had a dark red shirt, very dark. Then black pants, shoes, and a black tie. Lunch and all that crap past done for a while now, it was 4:15 when Hazel got in the cabin and I just double checking to see if my hair looked decent because I don't want to look like crap, thank you very much.

"Ooooh, Nico," she brought Leo and Frank with and of course Leo notices and has to tease that I looked like I tried to look good and nice and he comes up behind me, giving me jumper cables.

I might have slapped him our of surprise.

Now of course it took a while before anything was questioned. But Frank makes a remark that I'm here, Leo might as well ask.

"Ask what?" I question, unsure of what Leo would ask me that he couldn't just as Hazel. And I had to leave in like 10 minutes to meet Percy at his cabin.

He was shy about it and very quiet about it, which didn't seem like Leo, until I got the question.

"Are you gay?"

For a split second I thought that was a question meant to be a joke because I was looking nice and what not but I realized within a few seconds that it wasn't. Hazel and Frank were looking at me like they were warning me: If I lied, they would end me.

"Why would you need to know?" I respond with another question. It wouldn't really make sense unless...

That look.

Leo gave me a look, and it was one I knew well because I used it for so long. The look that you're around somebody and you try to hide the feelings but of course that small amount leaks out.

Again, he gets real shy and his cheeks tinted red.

"I'm just c—"

I gave him a look telling him that I'm not that much of a dumbass.

"Leo—"

"Okay! Okay! Fine!" The son of Hephaestus insisted upon," I was just asking because I didn't want to embarrass myself more than I already would if you were straight and I'd maybe ask you out a date for this weekend..."

And I felt fucking terrible.

"I... Leo, I'm flattered," this dude was as red as a tomato over here, blushing like hell as my sister and Frank awaited for more of a response," really, I am. But, and I don't want to sound like a prick because there's a reason for it and it's not my sexuality, but no..."

His reaction made me feel like a terrible human being. He just looked really sad and disappointed in himself and I should've just lied and said I was straight or something. He walked out and I didn't know he could hear us talking still.

Frank knew what I meant.

"You feel terrible, don't you?"

"Yeah."

Somebody knocks on the door and Hazel goes to answer.

She hasn't been informed I'm gay or have a major crush on Percy, but he was at the door. Wearing a dark navy shirt like mine. A dress up. Black tie, black pants, black shoes. He was also wearing one of the nicer bracelets I got him yesterday. I thought it was cute. Maybe a little girly, but so? It was simple, a skinny chain with a little heart connecting the two. I just liked it.

"Nico, it's the dude you hate."

But holy shit he was stunning.

I assured them I would be back tonight before walking out of the cabin with Percy, an excited smile on my face. Ready for this date.
