"DO YOU TWO HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED I'VE BEEN?!"
Shoto jumped awake at the sudden voice, and Katsuki was woken up from his sudden movements.
In front of the two, who had fallen asleep on the bench, stood a very pissed off Midoriya, a worried Yaoyorozu, and slightly nervous Kirishima, who was trying to make sure Midoriya didn't lunge at the two boy on the bench.
"You were both gone all night and neither of you thought it'd be a good idea to tell anyone where you were going or how long you were gonna be gone! You could have died! What is wrong with you two?!" Midoriya yelled at them, completely forgetting to sign so Katsuki could understand. Seeing as he just woke up, he didn't even bother trying to read Midoriya's lips either.
"I'm deaf dumbass, what the fuck are you screeching about?" Katsuki asked with a grumble, lifting his head off Shoto's shoulder and crack his neck a few times.
The green haired boy quickly realized his mistake and signed to Katsuki just how upset and disappoint he was with his behavior.
"Dear god mother, I'm so sorry for worrying you and dad last night, please don't ground me and take my phone away." Katsuki signed back with as much sarcasm as he could muster with how tired he still was. Shoto tried to contain his amusement as he watched what the blond was telling Midoriya.
Midoriya was nearly ready to burst with how anger he was, especially with Katsuki's nonchalant attitude about the whole situation. He took a deep breath when he felt Kirishima's hand on his back, rubbing soothing circles with his thumb to try and calm him down.
"Kacchan, you were gone all night. I had no clue where you were or if you were okay. You don't ever just disappear for that long without telling me. I was terrified." He signed, much calmer this time around.
Katsuki sighed, running a hand down his face. "I'm sorry. I know much you worry over everything and I should have texted you or something, but it just slipped my mind." He signed back to his friend. He knew how bad his anxiety was, especially when it came to himself. Katsuki thought it might have something to do with him being deaf, but he also couldn't be sure because he was just as anxious about Midoriya and he was prefectly capable of taking care of himself. They both were, they're both just fiercely protective of their best friend.
"Let it slip your mind again and I'll drag you straight to Mitsuki and let her deal with you." Midoriya threatened, making Katsuki's eyes widened slightly.
"You wouldn't dare!"
"But I would, Kacchan."
Shoto looked back and forth between them in confusion. "Who's Mitsuki?" He asked, using the name sign he was unfamiliar with, so he didn't actually know what name he had just signed.
"Mitsuki, Kacchan's mom." Midoriya said, like the asl teacher he had become.
Kirishima and Yaoyorozu didn't know nearly enough sign language to be able to keep up with the conversation, so they were both completely puzzled by the fact Midoriya had brought up Katsuki's mother.
"She's a crazy bitch." Katsuki signed to Shoto, making the dual haired boy chuckle lightly.
"Your mother's perfectly lovely to everyone that isn't you, maybe that's a reason for that." Midoriya signed to him sassily. Mitsuki was one of his favorite people, so of course he was going to defend her.
"You like my mom more than me." Katsuki signed with a scowl.
Midoriya giggled as he signed back. "Maybe there's a reason for that."
Katsuki glared at him for a second before looking over everyone else at the park with them. "Whatever extras, I'm hungry so I'm going back to the dorms, you're free to do whatever." He said out loud, taking into account how confused Kirishima and Yaoyorozu were with all the signing. Not everyone learned asl over night.
Midoriya gained a smug smile as he looked Katsuki dead in the eyes before saying, "Yeah, Kacchan's gonna make everyone pancakes."
The blond scowled at him, but didn't agrue, knowing he had to make up for scaring him last night. "I hate you, you know that?" He said out loud.
"No you don't." Izuku signed to him.
Katsuki just rolled his eyes plafully and grabbed Shoto's hand, pulling him towards the path they needed to take to leave. The other three students followed a few feet behind them, marveling at them, but mainly Katsuki.
"Seems like the date went well then." Kirishima said with a beaming smile. He was happy for his classmates, they seemed to work well for each other.
The redhead's words sparked something in Shoto's mind and he pulled his hand away from Katsuki so he could sign to him. "Did the date go well enough for you to tell me my name sign?" He asked with a raised brow.
Midoriya saw what he signed and stiffled his giggles. Katsuki already had a name sign for everyone in the class, seeing as he and Midoriya signed about them, plus Aizawa needed a way to tell Katsuki who he'd be partnered up with for various school activities.
"We fell asleep on a bench in a park." Katsuki signed back, not giving him a clear answer.
"Is that a bad thing?" Shoto asked back, lightly laughing when Katsuki hit his shoulder for the question.
"Yes, it's bad." The blond signed. "But, believe it or not, it was fun so I'll tell you your name sign." Katsuki said with an eye roll, noticing how excited Shoto seemed to be to find out what it was. He signed what he had been using for Shoto since nearly the first day of school.
"What're they talking about?" Kirishima asked Midoriya in a whisper. He knew that the green haired boy knew from the way he was watching them interact.
"Todoroki's name sign. Kacchan apparently would only tell him if the date went well." Midoriya answered, clearly finding it humorous how much of a 'Katsuki-thing' it was.
"Sounds like him." Kirishima said with a nod.
Yaoyorozu, who was walking on the other side of Midoriya and had heard what they were talking about, joined the conversation. "I'm assuming from how happy Todoroki looks, that Bakugou told him?"
"You know only one of us is deaf, right?" Shoto asked them, being able to hear everything they had said about him and Katsuki.
The blond looked up at him, not knowing what he had said to the others, or what they had said about them, so Shoto signed that they were talking about them.
He rolled his eyes at the information, expecting it from his best friend. "Deku, stop being a little snitch." He shot at him.
"Sorry." Midoriya signed to him with a smile, not sorry at all. It's not like he had spilt anything good or embarrassing. It was just Katsuki being Katsuki.
When they got back to the dorms, Katsuki made pancakes like Midoriya requested. He made a batch with as many chocolate chips in them as possible, knowing that that was how the green haired gremlin liked them. He had known him for his entire life and still had no clue how he ate something so... chocolate-y.
He also made a batch with a plain batch for everyone who didn't want cavities.
Unsurprisingly, Midoriya, Kirishima, Kaminari, Mina, Sero, and a handful of other classmates devoured the chocolate chip batch quickly, leaving the plain pancakes untouched until the 'boring' people ate them.
Once Katsuki was done cooking, he grabbed a plate with enough plain pancakes for him and Shoto both and grabbed the other boy by the wrist, pulling him to the elevator and up to his dorm. He had also snatched a smaller bottle of syrup, unsure if Shoto would want some or not.
Back at his dorm, they took a seat on his floor and ate the pancakes completely plain. Midoriya probably would have fainted at the sight.
They signed a little while eating, but it was a bit difficult so there wasn't very much chatting. The conversation flowed more once they were done and just hanging out in Katsuki's room to avoid their class.
It was easy conversation, nothing to serious. Until Katsuki joked about wanting to beat Kirishima and Midoriya to being the first couple in the class.
Then Shoto agreed and asked Katsuki to be his boyfriend.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later that night Katsuki went down to the common area to hang out with Midoriya.
"I beat you, Deku." Katsuki signed, clearly amused by what he was telling his friend.
Midoriya looked at him confuse. "Beat me at what?"
"I got a boyfriend first." He signed with a smug smile.
Midoriya looked even more confused now. "Kacchan, Kirishima and I started dating two days ago."
"Fuck!"
