Chapter 2
Levi's POV
This is why I hate bedtime.
The little bastards may be small but when they're riggling like they are, they weigh a ton. My eldest was slung over my right shoulder and my youngest in my left arm.
"But Dad, I'm not tired," my 6-year-old, Cole, whined.
"That's nice, but it's late and you need to sleep."
"But Dad, what if we pretend to sleep, and then when you go out we go downstairs and watch TV, but you can also pretend that you didn't see us," my 4-year-old, Cassie, said.
"I...no. Get into bed." I kissed both of them on the head and read them their favourite story as they slowly fell asleep. I huffed out a laugh and went to my own bedroom.
I collapsed onto my bed with a sigh, "They've finally gone to sleep. I swear Cassie's coming up with more and more bullshit. Between her and Cole, I don't really know what's going on."
A chuckle was heard from beside me, "Well, they have to get it from somewhere."
I raised my eyebrow, "And you think they got it from me? Hah. You know the only person that spouts bullshit like that is you, right?"
"Yeah, but you love me."
I scoffed, "Yeah, whatever."
"I love you, Levi."
"Uh-huh."
"I love you, Levi."
"Yeah, yeah. I love you too, Petra."
