2. Agree With Azula Or Face Certain Doom

I flopped down on the fluffy red lump of my bed and began my daily hour of complaining.

" WHY!" I yelled, shooting a ball of pale yellow to my ceiling. As usual, it did no damage. I groaned."Oh the Gods must hate me.First, a firebender who can't light anything on fire, and what's next? Waterbenders that can't get anything wet? Airbenders who suffocate themselves?"

"You know, that last one wouldn't even be possible. The airbenders are extict. Except for that avatar." A sly voice answered. I sprung up my bed to see two flashing amber eyes in the doorway. Then, a pale, beautiful face came out. Her black hair was tied back into a bun sitting proudly on her head. The Fire Nation princess walked in, smirking as her crown glinted in the light.

"Azula! It's been too long since I last saw you!" I hopped off my bed to give her a big fat hug. And in doing so, I forgot to put on my prosthetic leg, thus resulting in me face planting on the carpeted floor. I looked up from my position down here and saw Azula snuffing out a giggle. She smirked again, holding out her hand. "Hello, Dagny. And how's the old prosthetic, hmm? Still scratchy?" I took it and helped myself up.
I looked at the bare stump of a left leg. It was cut off just below the shin, making me have to wear a metal replacement. Inconvenient at times when I forget to put it on, but very useful for kicking one in the face.
"And how's the old palace? Still boring?" I teased. As a princess, she would mostly have millions of adoring fans outside the palace gates cheering at her arrival, but no, she scared all of them away with her world domination plans.
"Please. Fans are merely a distraction from real life. You couldn't possibly gain a thing from those peasants, now could you? I was simply making them go back to their productive routines of life!"
"Uh-huh. You threw a grenade at a man who squealed."
"He was destroying my ears. Anyways, I didn't just come here for a little chat. I came here with a proposal."
I fake-gasped." Are you telling me that you like girls now?!"
She was unamused. "No."
"Okay, okay. Out with it then! Don't leave me hangin'!" I nodded my head at her.
"You know, your head moves a lot when you talk. Stop it. It's disturbing. Now, you know how my dearest brother Zuko got banished by Father?"
I nodded, still freaked out by that memory. What kind of a father would burn their own child's face? And banish him right after?
"Well, My father has asked me to help him find dear Zuzu." I cringed at the way she said 'dear'. It may seem like an endearment, but the way she said it made it sound like an insult.
"Find him? Why would he want to do that? Isn't not seeing him the entire point of banishing someone?" I was confused. Why would he want him back? Did he change his mind?
"My father the Fire Lord has been furious with that failure of a brother of mine. Well, recently, he was seen to be helping the treacherous avatar behind a mask. The blue spirit, they called him. He made us lose a very important Commander. Or was it Captain? Doesn't matter. He is a threat to our improvement of the world, as you can see. He wants him back so he can watch his every move." She said in this casual voice, as if she were ordering a komodo-duck sandwich.
"Um, harsh. So why are you telling me all this?"
"I've just come back from a search, but to no avail. In order to find someone that doesn't want to be found, I must be quick, nimble, agile. So, who better than the legendary Yu-Yan Archer trainer's daughter, an inventor who wants to try out her new weapons, a weapon specialist who could show me some moves with her arrows? And one of my closest friends? "
"I don't know, Azula, I-"
"I get it, it's okay. I just thought that you promised a long time ago that you'd do anything for me! And when you make a promise, you will never, ever break it. Huh, I guess that was all just talk." She turned around, waving, knowing she'd gotten me. I could almost see the signature smirk of hers splattered all over her face.
"Okay, okay! Fine! But this is a search mission, not a kill mission! Plus, my dad has to be okay with this. Deal?"
She faced me and stood there, her hand out. I shook it.
"Deal. Welcome to the team. " she said in a snarky voice.
"So, what's next?" I asked.
"We're going to visit some old friends." She answered, walking out the door.
I shrugged, grabbed my bow and quiver of arrows, and rushed after the crazy princess.
