The next few days flew really fast as the MALHOTRA INDUSTRIES WAS GETTING READY FOR ITS BIG EVENT

Two days before the event:

There were only few people working in the headquarters of the Malhotra Industries..
While Manik found it really embarrassing to face Nandini after the storeroom incident, Nandini too found it difficult to confront Manik..
Manik also had to bear with the 'teasing thing' of Cabir everyday...🤣
Thus Manik mostly finished his work from his cabin..
Nandini too spent most of the time with Riya discussing work related matters...

Riya was filled with guilt each time she would talk with Nandini..😒
She gets reminded of the horrible thing that she was going to do to her...

Riya and Nandini were sitting in the latter's table talking about the catering service...

Riya was as usual distracted due to her conscience pricking her...
She turned her head only to see Alya staring at her through the glass partition
Alya was mouthing something at her which she couldn't decipher immediately but later could!

"SIGNATURE...NOW"

That's it...Riya was feeling a knot in her stomach finding out what Alya was trying to convey to her!

She had no choice....she had agreed to it..

Riya closed her eyes and took a deep breath...
The only picture which appeared in her mind was her mother's!!
Her ill mother!!!

Calming down her breath...
She put on a smile on her face , nodding to everything that Nandini said....

R: Ma'am....main toh bhool hi gayi..
Sir ne kuch papers diye the mujhe aapse signature karvane ke liye

Riya pulled out some papers and kept it on the table...

Nandini being a professional,never signed anything before reading it...
Thus started reading it....

Riya had started to profusely sweat as she was doing the unacceptable!

After reading it,there appeared a smile on Nandini's face!!!!

Her hardwork would finally pay off after two days..
The papers contained the legal confirmation to be signed by her as the owner of the Murthy Enterprises to provide the approval of shipment of their product overseas...
She literally had tears reading it!!

She took her pen to sign....

Just when she was about to sign...
Riya looked at Alya,while Alya mouthed "Now"

Riya getting the signal quickly gave a nudge to the flower vase which was kept on the table...it fell on the ground to Nandini's side....

N: Arehhhh!!

As Nandini bent down to pick the vase which had fallen ,Riya quickly placed the papers that Alya had given to her with the ones which she had already given to Nandini....

Nandini unknown to this picked up the vase, keeping it in its previous position, started to sign the papers one by one...
Riya anxiously waited for Nandini to finish it...

Just when Nandini was about to sign Alya's ' papers', Nandini's phone rings...
Looking at the caller's name, Nandini's eyes widen!!

Why was Manik calling her?
She didn't knw what to do...she didn't hv the courage to speak to him after the "incident"....
The call ended....her phone beeped!
There was a msg from him...

"Need to talk to u about the Varmas-come to my cabin"-Manik

N(in mind): Thank u Ramji...its business what he wants to talk....

Her heartbeats were raising at an alarming rate...
She had to meet him...
Thus giving no extra glance,she signs the remaining papers and fills in other personal details regarding the transactions....

After handing over the papers to Riya,Nandini leaves to meet Manik

Riya lets out her breath, showing the papers to Alya!
Alya gives an evil smirk at her....

Unknown to her was all the evil plottings which were happening behind her back!
Even the fate had turned its back at her!
Unaware of the upcoming storm,she was drenching in the new found showers of innocent love.....

Manik's Cabin

Manik was engrossed in his laptop..
He didn't notice her coming in

N:U wanted to see me?

Manik looks up at her...
Just when their eyes met,Nandini lowers her eyes down in shyness...
Manik could see how well he was affecting her!
All he could do was smirk feeling proud thinking about his effect on her!

Brushing away his not so innocent thoughts,Manik began to speak about some problem with the Varmas...

Nandini was just lost in admiring Manik..
The way he spoke,the way he rubbed his eyebrows while speaking...
She couldn't help noticing even the smallest details of his face...
She kept staring at his left cheek...
The cheek she had kissed on!
All the scenes that had happened in the storeroom replayed in her mind....

M:Nandiniiiii....Nandinii...

Nandini came out of her dreamworld only to find Manik standing dangerously close to her...
She gasped realising it...

N:Aap yahaan kaise... Matlab kab aaye..
Aap toh chair pe baithe the na?

M:Haan,lekin tum toh kisi aur duniya mein khoyi thi...
I called u a zillion times,but u didn't respond at all..
So I came to check whether everything was alright!
R u okay Nandini?

N:K...kyaa.. of course mujhe kya hoga...I am fine!!

M:(smirks) Really?😁

Manik moves a step closer to her....
He holds her shoulder...

M: Nandini tum kaamp kyun rahi ho?

N:Woh...kuch nahi...thand hai na isliye...

Manik noticed her shivering lips...
Nandini was biting her lips to calm herself down!!
Manik was nearing her lips...
He himself was unknowingly getting drawn towards it...
Just when he was about claim her lips, Nandini pushes Manik gaining her senses!!

N:Woh!!!main Varma ke file laathi hoon!

Saying this, Nandini runs from there...

Manik was not able to register what had happened to him!!

Nandini was busy with the last minute preparations for the evening...
She was making phone calls regarding the stay of different faculties and the shipments...
She had asked Navya to stay back as she needed help to run errands....
Navya was too excited about the event and what to wear for it...

Both the girls of the house were busy in dressing up for the event...

Both of them were waiting for Rohan to arrive....as he was also invited!

After a few minutes, Enter Rohan,in a ravishing brown suit!

The sight that welcomed him left his mouth open 😯

But Rohan was lost in the mesmerising beauty standing in front of him...

They all leave for the event...

All the guests had started to arrive...
Manik and his family had already arrived and were looking after the arrangements..
Mukti and Dhruv were also present...

The men of the family were looking dashing in the Armani soho wool tuxedos!!

Manik was talking on the phone with someone....
He feels a light breeze across his face..
He turns his face to the right!
The sight he saw made the phone slip from his hand!😁😁

There she was!!
The woman who had made 'The Great Manik Malhotra' fumble in his words, the woman who had snatched away his beauty sleep......

Cabir who was standing next to him, couldn't control his laughter looking at his poor bhai's condition...

C:Muh toh band karo bhai!!!😂😂

Nandini who was near them heard this and couldn't control the blush that was attacking her cheeks!
She had to admit....even Manik was looking drool worthy tdy in his killer suit! 😎

Cabir happily takes the bottle of water kept on the table and starts drinking it...

Just then he notices someone behind Nandini walking towards the venue...
He starts looking at her very sharply....
Only the he realises who it was...

He chokes on the water and spits it out!!!!

He couldn't believe his eyes...the girl who always came to college wearing boring clothes...tdy was standing in front of him in western clothes....

This time it was Manik's turn to laugh!!

M:Tujhe kya hua Cabir...bada has raha tha kuch der pehle 🤭🤣

C:Kuch nahi bhai...abhi aatha hoon...

He walks to the place where Nandini and Navya were standing...

C:Hii Nandini!!

Seeing Cabir there Navya gets shocked 😲!!but she keeps a straight face

N:Ohh hi Cabir..This is.......

Nandini starts to introduce Navya but Cabir cuts her off

C:Yaa yaa Nandini...even I don't knw who she is!!

Cabir was in the mood to tease Navya 🤣

Cabir starts moving towards Navya

Yeh sab cheezein bataane ke liye mere paas ek bohat achaa tareeka hai...u know 🤭😁

Navya looks around to find people moving here and there
She wanted to leave but he was not allowing to...
She prays to god to get a way to escape from there...
Just then she hears someone's voice

Mukti:Oyyy Cabir tu wahaan kya kar raha haii...

Cabir turns to find Mukti coming towards them

Mukti was surprised to find Navya standing with Cabir

Luckily Cabir explains everything about her being Nandini's sister and in that gap Navya takes her leave...

Dhruv was happily talking to Rohan..
He had met him after many years...
Rohan who later finds Nandini walking alone,excuses himself to go with her..

Dhruv was feeling bored looking here and there..
And then he found someone whom he was hoping not to meet...
Wearing a wine red maxi dress hugging her curves perfectly ,she was smiling at her friends..
Once she belonged to him...she was his everything...
What was not enough for her!
His money or his love,he never understood.....!!!

In another corner

Rohan was following Nandini everywhere she ,went like a puppy..
While Nandini was tensed about the event,Rohan was getting on her nerves..

While Manik was observing everything from a distance..

M(in his mind):Yeh ladka kaun hai aur yeh Nandini ke peecha kyun kar raha hai..Woh bhi usse has haske baatein bhi kar rahi hai...
Oh yeahh...dats Rohan Singhania right...The singer..
Yeah he was Dhruv's colleague....
Matlab yeh wahi Rohan hai jo Nandini ko baar baar msg karta hai...😒

While on the other side,Rohan was all praises for the decorations and on how Nandini was looking tonight...
He kept moving his hands showing how much he liked it there....
In a split of a second Nandini turned and his finger poked Nandini's left eye...

Nan:Ouchh!!!

R: Sryy sryy Nandini... maine dekha nahi...

Nandini wasn't able to open her eye...

Manik had lost them somewhere and was searching for them...

Rohan didn't know what to do...
He didn't want Nandini to hv a bad day because of him..
Thus he held her hand to take her to make to her sit somewhere...

R: Nandini aao kahi baithe hai..

N:It's fyn Rohan..just take me to the washroom...

R:Ok...come

While they reached the door of the washroom,Manik spotted them...

M:Yeh dono akele yahaan kya kar rahe hai?

R: Nandini wait..just open ur eye...

N:I am not able to Rohan...

Rohan holds her face and slightly blows on her eye making it open...

While the person standing at a distance watching them was shocked to his roots...😯😯😯
It appeared to him as if they were kissing...
He felt anger rushing through his veins..
He wanted to push him off from her..
How dare he even touch her....
He took a step forward....

Main kya kar raha hoon...
Maise aisa react kar raha hoon jaise Nandini meri girlfriend hai....

Ho sakta hai ki Nandini uske saath relationship mein hai..
She might be his girlfriend!!

He could feel tears forming in his eyes looking at them..
Suppressing his emotions...he starts walking to the main venue...
All his memories of him and Nandini were rushing back to him...
The muffins, pink choli,the storeroom,their fights,their meetings everything........
He didn't knw how to react!!
He was altogether feeling numb...

Nandini gets a phone call and thus excuses herself...

After talking with Prem uncle about the new witness in her parent's case,she hurried to her car for the event...

The reporters tried their best to stop her...but couldn't...

All were waiting for the main function to begin

While Manik was feeling low due to the new found information,had completely lost interest in greeting the faculties...He was constantly thinking about Nandini...

Cabir was admiring his Madhubala and her antics as he munched on his favourite chicken tikka...

But someone was obstructing his view...

To find out who it was,Cabir comes forward.....

There was a man who was staring at his Madhubala in not a very good way...

Cabir was absolutely not liking it!!but he wasn't able to identify who it was..

Thus he asks Riya about it..

C:Riyaa...woh kaun hai?

R:Woh Harshad-Nandini Ma'am ki PA

C:Ohh ok

But still his heart was not at peace...he wanted to do talk to Navya about Harshad...the way he was looking at her made his blood boil😬😬

Just when Cabir moves forward,he happens to see a lot of commotion in the main venue..

He decides to check dat first...

He moves to the main hall....

There he saw his brother and his father convincing the client group..

An argument was going on....

They were showing something to Manik in their I Pad..

Looking at which Manik was visibly shaken 😮😮

Again Alya also came and was showing him files,papers,and videos...

The client group after muttering something and leaves the hall huffing..

Karan Malhotra goes behind them trying to talk them...

Watching them go Manik throws the papers on the floor and breaks the I pad...

He sits down on the chair with his face covered...

It might have been half an hour before Nandini entered the hotel...

It was a quite different atmosphere!! The party lights were all off...Most of the guests were missing....food was not served...the stage was not lit up...

There was tension around her..

She had happily come with her speech hoping to not be late for the opening ceremony...

But all she found was silence..

This silence -she was not liking it...it had the same intensity when her parents left her forever...

Haunting silence...

Her sister was standing there with a sad face....

The person she looked for was sitting on a chair with his face covered...

Taking some courage,she called for him!!!
