Dhruv's pov

Here i was interacting with some of clients without much interest as my full concentration was on entrance.
I have chosen grey lined tux for the event and i was looking great as always...😏😉

The ladies here were busy ogling at me and some literally threw themselves at me during formal introduction. I really wanted to say that "Sorry Ladies, I am already TAKEN" but alas couldn't do it.

Soon my sister joined me and then after what felt like ages i saw Dhriti entering with Stella.
She was looking so much gorgeous and even more beautiful with her smile. I was looking at her without even blinking my eyes.

She was walking in our direction only maybe to meet my sister and i busy looking at her. She came near us and then suddenly she lost balance by someone's push.
She closed her eyes waiting for her landing on our mother earth.

But i was quicker. I literally ran towards her and put my one hand around her waist and with other hand held her hand. Her fragrance was killing me.

She was looking pure epitome of beauty. I was looking at her angelic face when she opened her innocent eyes. We both were lost in each other and then heard throat clearing voice.
Our trance got broken and we saw my sister looking at us with a smile.

I made her stand on her feet and then removed my hand from her waist..

"Thank you" I heard her angelic voice.
I smiled at her and gave her a nod.
She interacted with my sister and then went towards my mom.

The kids came running to me. I took them towards my family. Dhriti was also there talking with my mom.
The moment we reached there kids ran towards Dhriti and started chanting "didi" "didi" looking at her..

I got confused. Have they met already??

Dhriti smiled at them and shook her hand with them and caressed their faces. Everyone was looking at the three of them in confusion.

"Beta.. do you know these kids??"
Finally maa asked.

Everyone was waiting for her reply.
"Yes mam.. i met these cuties that day
in the mall"

Wait....
What did she just say??
She met them in the mall. It means she is the same girl who gave me that note.Wow..
It means that when i thought i was running behind 2 girls, practically i was behind 1 girl only 🤔🤔

The World is too small....

Dhriti's pov

I saw the same kids whom i met in the mall in the party. They were Sakshi mam's grandkids.
So Dhruv was the one to whom i gave that note.

First i thought him as an employee and now i came to know that i have pranked him with that note...
Oh mother earth.. please swallow me.

(P.S.- anyone remember that note given by Dhriti to kids.. those who Don't can check Chapter-13 )

But that was his mistake right??
How can he leave kids alone in a huge shopping complex...

I came back from thoughts by Sakshi mam's voice-
"Well that's nice beta.. that you have already met kids..
We will just come.. you enjoy"
Saying this she and her husband towards some guests leaving me with Dhruv, his sister and kids.
Soon kids also went to meet someone with his sister.
Bravo, now i am left with him ALONE.

Can this be more uncomfortable??
He cleared throat grabbing my attention. A romantic song was playing in background. I looked at dance stage and every couple was dancing. Even his family members were dancing with their partners.
He cleared his throat again-
"Ahh.. so you dance??"

"Huhh.." i gave him a questioning look. He again asked for dance.

"I promise... A friendly one only"
He assured me. I look at his forwarded hand. I place my hand in his as and he dragged me towards dance floor.

He made sure not to make me uncomfortable and avoid unnecessary touch. He acted like a true gentleman.
He was looking at me with emotion filled eyes.
"Dhriti you are so nice, a lovely girl. can you be my friend?? "

My thoughts went back to past Manan, who first made me his friend and gave gifts and then that day...
My eyes got teared. I took my hand from Dhruv's hand and looked at him with teared eyes.
I know that i am doing wrong in comparing without even clearing things. I just wanted to run.

I ran towards hall's door and bumped into a girl. The moment i looked at girl's face, i became numb... All memories again started flashing in front of her.

"Dhriti.. it's you na??"
The girl said with a polite smile but all i saw from her face was my past , their fake friendship, his.....

Yes that girl was none other than Mansi.

(P.S.- those who don't know who is Mansi can find her in Chapter 1)

She looking at me smiling.
"Don't you remember me??"
She said with guilt smile.

Why are they coming back..
No they can't be back nom if she is here then it means he.. he is also here.

My breathe got heavier. I think i am going to have a panic attack soon. I haven't bought my medicine also. I starred breathing heavily.

"Hey, are you fine? Do you need water" Mansi said holding my hand and started to rub it.

"Noo" i screamed at her dragging my hand away and unlocked my phone to call jiju.

"Jiju please come soon" i replied as soon as he picked call.

He sensed danger and assured me that he is coming in 5 minutes.

I sat on bench at back garden. Mansi was standing there looking at me with teary eyes.
"Dhriti are you fine? What happened?"

"Go away..." I shouted at her.

I heard a male voice soon.
"Dhriti..oh god.
What happened to you?? Come i will take you inside."
Dhruv was standing looking at me with concerned looks.

He took hold my hand
"Come with me.. i will inform Stella"

I shook his hand away..
"What the hell do you both want. I said to go away..
Please go away. I don't need you"
I screamed at them

Tears found way down from my eyes.
I was not able to speak anything.
My vision got blurry.

At the same moment i saw jiju entering area. He was looking for me in other direction.
I stood up from bench with difficulty and started walking towards him. My steps were wobbly.

"Dhriti.."
"Dhritii. Careful..."

Both Mansi and Dhruv shouted and held me from either sides. I shook them but their hold was strong.

Jiju looked at our direction hearing some voices. He looked at me and his eyes widen in shock.

He ran towards us.
"Oh god.. Dhriti what happened??"

He held me and looked at both of them with stern look.
I asked him for medicines.

He gave me worried look and then passed me a bottle of tablets.
I gobbled 5 tablets and sighed in relief.

He took me to the car and they both followed us. He made me sit in the car and looked at both of them.
"I don't know what happened here which led to her this condition..but
Thank you for saving her...
And sorry for disturbance"

I closed my eyes feeling drizzy due to after effect of medicine.....
