<Weiss p.o.v.>

We were all wandering around Vale.

It was time for the Vytal festival.

"Oh the Vytal festival, this is truly wonderful" I said.

"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much Weiss, it's kinda weirding me out" Ruby said.

"How can you not smile, a festival dedicated to the cultures of the world, there will be dances, parades, and a tournament I said happily.

We continued walking.

"Oh the amount planning and effort put into this is simply breath-taking" I said.

"You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring" Yang said.

Y/n and Ika laughed.

"Quiet you" I said.

"Remind me again why we're spending our friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks" Yang asked.

"They smell like fish" Ruby said.

Ruby blocked her nose.

"I heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today, and as a representative of Beacon I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom" I said.

"She wants to spy on them so she can have the upper hand at the tournament" Blake said.

"You can't prove that" I said.

"Woah" Ruby said.

She was looking at a police crime scene.

A dust store was robbed.

We walked over to it.

"What happened here" Ruby asked.

"Robbery, second dust shop to be hit this week, this place is turning into a jungle" One of the police members said.

He walked away.

"That's terrible" Yang said.

Yeah it is.

"They left all the money again, doesn't make a lick of sense, who would need all that dust" One of the police asked.

"I dunno" The other said.

"You thinking White Fang" One of the police members asked.

"I think we don't get paid enough for this" The other said.

Thought so...

"Hmph, the White Fang, what an awful bunch of degenerates" I said.

"What's your problem" Blake said.

I turned to her.

"My problem, I just don't care for the criminally insane" I said.

"The White Fang are barely a bunch of psychopaths, they're a collection of misguided Faunus" Blake said.

"Misguided, they want to wipe humanity off the face of the planet" I said.

"Well then they're very misguided" Blake said.

Ika chuckled.

"They really want to get rid of humanity, let them, the less humans the better" He said.

I'm going to ignore that.

"Either way, it doesn't explain why they would rob a dust shop in the middle of downtown Vale" Blake said.

I turned to the others.

"Blake's got a point, besides the police haven't caught that Torchwick guy I ran into a few months ago, maybe it was him" Ruby said.

"That still doesn't change the fact that the White Fang are a bunch of scum, those Faunus know only how to lie, cheat, and steal" I said.

"That's not necessarily true" Yang said.

"HEY STOP THAT Faunus" Someone shouted.

We turned around and saw two ship members chasing after a monkey Faunus.

He was running, then he jumped off the ship and onto a lamp post.

"You no good stowaway" One of the members said.

"Hey, a no good stowaway would've been caught, me I'm a great stowaway" The monkey Faunus said as he opened a banana.

Someone threw a rock at the Faunus' head.

It missed.

"Hey, you come down from there this instant" A police member said.

The banana peel was thrown into his face.

The Faunus jumped off the lamp and ran away.

He began running towards us.

He ran past us.

"You wanted to see the competition Weiss...well there it goes" Yang said.

"QUICK, WE MUST OBSERVE HIM" I said.

I ran after him, everyone followed.

He was very fast.

When we turned a corner I bumped into something.

I then saw the Faunus get away.

"No he got away" I said.

"Uhh...Weiss" Yang said.

I looked at what I bumped into.

I bumped into an orange haired girl.

When I realized I jumped off of her.

"Salutations" She said.

"Umm...hello" Ruby said.

"Are you ok" Yang asked.

"I'm wonderful, thank you for asking" She said.

Ika went to her.

"You need a hand" He asked.

"No thanks, I already have the two" She said.

He chuckled.

"I like her" He said as he helped her up.

"Well I like you too" She said.

She turned to everyone.

"My name is Penny, it is a pleasure to meet you" She said.

"Hi Penny, I'm Ruby" Ruby said.

"I'm Weiss" I said.

"I'm Blake" Blake said.

Yang looked at her curiously.

"Are you sure you didn't hit your head" Yang asked.

Blake hit her.

"I'm Yang" Yang said.

"I'm Y/n" Y/n said.

"And I'm Geronimo von Sexy" Ika said.

"Hello Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Y/n, and Geronimo von Sexy" Penny said.

Ika laughed.

"I was joking, it's Ika" Ika said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you" Penny said.

"You already said that" Ruby said.

She spaced off.

"So I did" Penny said.

"Well...sorry for running into you" I said.

"Take care friend" Ruby and Ika said in sync.

We walked away.

"She was....weird" Yang said.

"Now, where did that Faunus riff-raff run off to" I said.

We then saw Penny appear in front of us.

"What did you call me" She asked.

HOLD ON, SHE WAS OVER THERE...AND NOW SHE'S HERE!!!

"Oh I'm so sorry, I definitely didn't think you heard me" Yang said.

"Not you...you two" Penny said to Ika and Ruby.

She went really close.

Ruby tried explaining herself.

"You called me friend, am I really your friend" Penny asked.

We were all telling them NO.

"Hell yeah" Ika said.

We all failed...

"SENSATIONAL, WE CAN PAINT OUR NAILS, AND TRY ON CLOTHES, AND TALK ABOUT CUTE BOYS LIKE Y/N AND IKA OVER THERE" Penny said.

Both of the boys were like "Wait what".

"I like her even more now" Ika said.

"Is this what it was like when you met me" Ruby asked me.

"No, she seems far coordinated" I said.

"So, what are you doing here in Vale" Yang asked.

Penny turned to her.

"I'm here to fight in the tournament" Penny said.

"Wait, you're fighting in the tournament" I asked.

"I'm combat ready" Penny said.

Ika gave a thumbs up.

"Forgive me but, you hardly look the part" I said.

"Says the girl wearing a dress" Blake said.

"It's a combat skirt" I said.

Ruby sped to me.

"Yeah" She said.

We high fived.

"Weiss, I know a quote from an ancient philosopher that you might want to use someday, "There is no greater danger then underestimating your opponent" Ika said.

"Ika, when did you study philosophy" Y/n asked.

"It's been a topic I took an interest in recently" He said happily.

Well it is a good quote but...dammit why didn't I think of that.

"Wait a minute, if you're here for the tournament, then do you know that monkey haired...rapscallion" I asked.

"The who" Penny asked.

"The Filthy Faunus from the boat" I said.

"Why do you keep saying that" She asked.

I turned to her.

"Stop calling him a rapscallion, stop calling him a degenerate, he's a person" She said.

"Oh I'm sorry, would you like me to stop calling the trash can a trash can, or this lamp post as a lamp post" I asked.

"STOP IT" She said.

"Stop what, he clearly broke the law, give him time and he'll join up with the other Faunus in the White Fang" I said.

Blake obviously didn't like my response.

"YOU IGNORANT LITTLE BRAT" Blake shouted as she walked away.

"You feel the same way I do right Ika" I asked him.

He looked at me with his black eye mode thing.

"Don't talk to me...racist" He said with a moody tone as he walked away.

"Ika, where are you going" Y/n asked.

"I don't wish to associate myself with a racist, the Faunus and the White Fang are people, some do bad things, but don't judge one's actions by that of the few" He said.

Fine then.

"Why should I care about his opinion anyway" I said.

"Well let's see, he's a prince who's going to be an emperor when he graduates, he's got access to military power that surpasses Atlas, and he's ..." Y/n said.

"HOLD ON, did you just say prince" I asked.

"Umm...yeah, don't tell him I told you" Y/n said.

A PRINCE, A REAL PRINCE!!

He's probably loaded with cash, and power that surpasses Atlas....I COULD BE AN EMPRESS OF AN ENTIRE NATION!!!

I can just imagine it.

Him holding me close, as he proposes to me, asking to be his and his alone.

"Weiss Schnee, please, be my empress and rule by my side, I am nothing without you, I need you to be with me" Dream Ika says as he holds me close.

"As you wish...I am yours" I said in my dream.

We'll live happily, we'll have a beautiful family, our children would be beautiful.

Whilst I was in dreamland Ruby snapped me back into reality.

"You ok Weiss, you suddenly spaced out and began drooling" Ruby asked.

"I-I'm good...wait...HEY, I'M NOT A BRAT" I said as I wiped my mouth and went to Blake.

They were still arguing.

"I don't understand why this is such a problem" Weiss said.

"That is the problem" Blake said.

"You do realise you're defending an organisation that hates humanity don't you, the Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil" Weiss said.

"There is no such thing as pure evil" Blake said.

Blake stood up.

"Why do you think they hate humanity so much, because of people like Cardin, people like you that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures" Blake said.

"People like me" Weiss said.

"You're discriminatory" Blake said.

"I'm the victim" Weiss said.

A silence filled the room.

"You want to know why I despise the White Fang, why I don't particularly trust the Faunus" Weiss said.

She walked to the window.

"It's cause they've been at war with my family for years, war like actual bloodshed, my grandfather's company has had a target painted on it's back for as far as I can remember, and ever since I was a child I've seen family and friends disappear, board members...executed, an entire train cart of dust....stolen, and everyday my father would come home furious, and that made for a very difficult childhood" Weiss said.

Ruby put her hand on her shoulder.

"Weiss I..." Ruby said.

"NO, you know why I despise the White Fang, it's cause they're a bunch of liers, thieves, and murderers" Weiss said.

"WELL MAYBE WE WERE JUST TIRED OF BEING PUSHED AROUND" Blake shouted.

Wait...what?

Everyone was shocked.

Blake then ran out.

"BLAKE WAIT" I said.

It was useless.
