Chapter 13
Hiya, Lovies! Things came up? Was I tired? My family member was sick? Honestly, I don't have an excuse for my lateness (;・∀・). Don't yell at me, please! (*'-`*)

"Aren't you two adorable," I say through clenched teeth. May hits the beds headboard in an attempt to get as far away from me as possible. (Y/n) lays next to her, unconscious. A frightened look marring her sleeping face.
"How...? How..?" May slips off the bed onto the floor. She subtly lays her hand on the bathroom door handle, waiting for an opportunity to dash in. without hesitation, I unsheath the knife from my side. A bead of fresh blood drips down onto the white bedspread I catch it. Watching May, I lick the stain off my fingers. Fresh dog blood. I'd never killed an animal bigger than a cat before but it was no more difficult. It was trying to keep it from screeching that I had trouble with. A wide grin splits my face at the memory. I rush at May, keeping eye contact as I plunge the same knife deep in her abdomen, cutting past connective tissue and fleshy organs alike.
Gasping like a fish out of water. May holds onto my arm either to keep her from falling or in a weak attempt to pull the knife out, I don't know. I feel her lips at my ear.
"She may be 'yours' but remember: she wanted me."
Her words surprise me. Usually someone's last words would be begging me to stop or cursing me to Hell. Except, as I look into May's eyes; at her fading spirit in them, she is serene. I push her off my shoulder as if she burned me. I roll her under the bed, careful the blood doesn't streak across the carpet. I wipe the excess blood on my knife on her t-shirt before standing up again.
"(Y/n) is confused. She doesn't know what she needs or wants now. But she will. She will realize I'm her everything."
The adrenaline has made me delirious with excitement. My chest moves up and down with my heavy breathing. I can feel either sweat or blood run down my cheeks and neck. When I look back at my sleeping Princess on the bed my body can't help but get more excited. She looks perfect lying against with the heavenly white pillows and sheets. Her hair splayed out in a halo around her head. (If you don't have hair then ignore!) It's hard to imagine that just seconds ago she kissing someone else.
My anger is broken when I hear the sound of shouting outside the room. I know I can't just walk out with (Y/n) without being noticed now. I've wasted too much time on May. Thank goodness (Y/n) passed out when she did or my plan would have been ruined.
Looking around the bedroom I spot doors leading to a small porch in the gardens. I shrug my shoulders. It's my only option. Swifty grabbing (Y/n) in my arms I carry her bridal style to the doors. I quietly open the doors and slip out to the driveway. My old pickup truck sits a few paces down the driveway in the forest. I'd covered it the best I could with fallen branches and bushes but some of the faded yellow paint is still visible. I plan to steal a more inconspicuous one when we leave the state. (Y/n) stirs slightly as I gingerly place her in the bed of the truck. After a second of, though, I take my belt off and tie her hands together to the headrest in front of her. I got my windows tinted but just in case, I throw a blanket over her hands so if someone looks in it will just look like a blanket hanging off the seat. The thought of (Y/n) tied up and unconscious in my truck send shivers down my spine. I caress her face. Such beauty. Kissing both her cheeks quickly before climbing into the driver's seat. My truck is semi-silent as I race to the end of the driveway.
A distant cry of police sirens tells me that I have to hurry more than I already am. (Y/n) murmurs in her sleep. I know she's about to wake up and freak out.
"What?....May?...Where?" I don't look back but I do smile. When she realizes that I'm here she'll become so flustered.
There's a pause; a second of silence then she starts screaming and crying. My mouth pops open. I was not expecting that. I turn a little in my seat to find (Y/n) looking at me, tears covering her flushed face. She struggles against her restraints. I click my tongue in annoyance.
"Sweetheart, I'm back! I thought you would be happier." I smile at her horrified face. For some reason, I think I like it when she's fidgety. The way the vein in her neck beats faster then slower when I reach my hand back there. The way her pupils enlarge have me dying for a taste of those lips she's biting.
"W...where's May? Where is she!" Instead of answering, I turn back to the road. We're almost at the end of the driveway. (Y/n) asks where May is again. I continue to ignore her but I more my hips in a way that brings attention to the knife sheathed at my side. (Y/n) gasps in horror and screams crude names at me. I have a hard time hearing them because of how close the police sirens are. There just a couple of blocks away now.
"Where are you taking me? I want to go back to May!" The sound of the head rest bending makes me look back at (Y/n). She no longer is crying but now has a rebellious glint in her eyes. The sight makes me smirk. Maybe breaking my Princess will be more fun than I first thought. (Y/n) must see my excitement in my face because she blushes and looks down.
I break out of the driveway and into the city just as the police round the corner. I hope none of them saw my truck leaving, cops or otherwise.
I drive for about ten more minutes before (Y/n) speaks again.
"What do you want with me?" Her voice cracks at the end. She sounds resigned and when I look back she stays unseeingly out the window.
"I'll show you soon." She shivers at the subtle threat. "Besides, you still haven't received your last punishment." My lips curl as I enjoy watching her become frightened again. I can hear her begin to sob.

"We're here, my love!" I yell to the back seat. (Y/n) had fallen asleep half way there. I've enjoyed listening to her steady breathing. I even avoided the potholes so she'd sleep fine. The drive was more or less five hours but it was worth it if I get to live with her.
The little plot in front of us was the best I could find on short notice. It's a small hut that could be called a shack. It sits in an open field overlooking a large meadow of wildflowers. Before I rescued (Y/n) I searched areas in a 100-mile radius for abandoned houses or buildings. This one looked the best and is in a decent place.
I hop out of the car and run up to (Y/n) from the back. I untie her hands to find green and yellow bruises under the belt. I finger sim her skin lightly before she pulls away from me. I clench my fist in anger but don't let it show on my face. (Y/n) looks past me at the hut. Her eyes widen.
"Is that where we're staying?" I nod.
"That place looks haunted." She scoots back further into the truck.
"I can assure you that neither living nor dead have been here for a while." I give her a small half-smile and grab on to her foot so she can't move back any more. I pull her toward me roughly. She screamed; startled.
"Please, just go check before I go in." (Y/n) leans toward me and gives me a wide-eyed look. Because of her tears, they reflect the light from the sun. I sigh and brush my black hair out of my eyes.
"Fine. Just stay here." I slam the truck door close. We're in the middle of nowhere, I made sure of that, so where could she possibly run off to? I walk inside the musty one-room hut. It only takes a moment but when I turn back to the truck the back door is ajar. I curse as I spot (Y/n) already down in the wildflowers. I didn't realize how fast she was. She doesn't realize how fast I am.
I catch up to her easily. I was in Track and Field up until high school after all. I grab onto the collar on (Y/n)'s shirt to stop her. She chokes before falling to the ground, I on top of her.
"Now, now, now. You are quite the little hellion, aren't you?" I lean in to kiss her but she spits in my face. I just laugh at that then pull out my belt again. "I can't have you running off again, sweetie." I lace the belt tightly around her throat and use it as a makeshift leash to lead her back to the hut. I merely laugh at her reddening face. We make it to the shack without anymore struggle.
"See. No ghosts or monsters." I smile down at her in reassurance.
"You're the only monster here." She growls at me. I tug on the leash harshly to bring her face to mine.
"You'd like to blame me but it was you who hurt May and the others." (Y/n) blinks at me in confusion so I continue. "If you hadn't run away and gotten others; people you cared about, involved they would still be alive."
Her eyes widen as her lips thin out into a straight line. I can basically see her make the connection in her face because it drops a little. (Y/n) has to lean against the wall to stay upright. I let go of my belt and open the solitary window. It's just above a tiny sink for the slightly bigger kitchen. I try the tap and am surprised to find it working. A twin sized cot lays on the ground opposite the front door.
"Where is the bathroom?" I ask to no one in particular. (Y/n) is still sulking in the corner. She now sits with her knees hugged up to her body. She looks so pitiful. Walking over to her I can see that she isn't crying just staring straight ahead. Her eyes, normally (e/c) has become dull and hard to read.
I sit next to her on the floor and wrap an arm around her shoulders. I kiss the top of her head before leaning my head on it. I whisper comforting words in her ear. She doesn't respond except for the sudden silent tears that begin to fall. Sobs shake her body so I start to hum a happy tune. I only know one, 'Electric Love' by Dopamine. My mother would wonder the apartment singing this song from room to room. She always said it was my father's favorite song before he died and singing it to my Princess just feels right.
We sit there way past when the song ended, though. I'm beginning to think that (Y/n) had fallen asleep but when I feel movement to my side I push away from her. I place a hand on the knife at my side to see if its there, it is. (Y/n) watches me a hateful glare, a small cut on the tips of her fingers where she grabbed the knife edge.
Without saying another word I pin her to the wall, trapping her in with my arms on either side. She doesn't look away from my intense gaze as I thought she would.
"Oh, this is going to fun," I whisper in her ear before lick up and down the side of her face. She doesn't react; doesn't move at all.
