School is ridiculously easy. I swear they are teaching middle school curriculum. I've gotten rid of five more people. It's been a month.

Senpai comes to school with new scars every day. He looks so beat up. And the guys bully him too. The only guys who leave him alone are the other freshmen and those guys with the black hair. People avoid them for some reason. 

 It's Friday. School is boring as usual, and I sigh as I boredly flip a page in my textbook.

"U-um.... A-Ayano, r-right?"

I look up and blush as I see my Senpai. I look down, shy. "Y-yeah?"

His beautiful voice flows over me as he stutters. "I'm ha-having some t-trouble with the history c-class. Sensei r-recommended y-your help."

I smile shyly. "I-I can help you Senpai."

He nods, looking much more comfortable now. "G-good. Can we meet afterschool?"

I nod. "S-sure Senpai."

I smile as he walked off. I squeal internally. Senpai noticed me!

Senpai wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed when it came to history, I noted as I quizzed him. Honestly. It had only been ten minutes, and he was struggling with grade 5 stuff. I hear a scoff and look up to see an upperclassmen looming over us.

"I see you got a girl to be near you in hopes of keeping us away. We don't care if a girl watches as we beat your ass."

My eyes narrow. "Excuse me?!" I say. My hand twitches for the box cutter tucked in my socks. The guy looks down at me.

"I said, We don't care if some bitch like you watches as we beat this twerps as-Ack!"

I lunged, swiping the box cutter towards the guys neck. He jumped back in shock, so I only nicked him, and his hand shook as he looked at the blood on his hand. I held the box cutter defensively.

"You won't be beating Senpai up anymore! I'll kill you!" I could feel my sanity slipping. I lunged for the guy, wanting to see his blood spray against the rooftop, wanting to see that beautiful red. A hand circled my wrist and I froze, looking back. 

"Senpai.....?"

"Don't Ayano, please. Don't hurt him." My hand holding the box cutter lowers. Senpai didn't want me to get rid of this annoyance?

"But Senpai... He hurt you." I feel lost.

Senpai opens his mouth to speak, but instead pushes me. I hit the wall, and look up to see the upperclassman strike Senpai. Senpai cries out, and the whispering in my ear grows louder. I jump on the guys back, and stab him in the neck.

"I told you not to beat up Senpai!!" I snarl. I twist so the guys convulsing body faces away from Senpai as the blood sprays. I feel a laugh bubble up in my throat. "I told you~" I sang cheerfully. My hands were covered in blood.

I look and see Senpai staring at me with a horrified look in his eye.

"A-Ayano, y-you killed him!"

I shush hm. "Shhh. Senpai, please don't tell anyone. I did it for you. He won't hurt you anymore. M'kay?"

Senpai just stared at me. "How can you kill so easily?" he asked.

I tilt my head. I don't understand. "Well, I don't get what you mean Senpai. I get rid of people who hurt or annoy you. It's easy when it's for you."

He just stares. "Senpai, are you okay?"

Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare.

Is he okay? I start to freak out a bit. "Senpai!?"

He jumps. He seems to be thinking, so I start humming to myself as I wash off the blood with the rooftop sink. I grab a mop and mop up all the blood, and hoist the body of the guy up and hide it behind the generator.

"Ayano.. How many people have you killed for me?" 

I hum thoughtfully. "I think twenty four? I've done my best to protect you since middle school. But I'm still not strong enough..."

"Please stop killing for me?"

I look at him confused. "How can I stop them from hurting you if I don't make them go away forever?"

"You could become really scary and intimidating. And when people find out you hang around me, and that if they mess with me you'll beat them up, but not kill them. Soon they will stay away. Though I'm fine without you protecting me."

I shake my head. "No, you come to school with new scars every day. I will protect you, just wait and see! And, I won't protect you by killing anymore."

He smiles. "Good. Now let's go home."

I think being friends with Senpai is amazing. He is noticing me!

But... something is different, and I don't think I mind.

School was closed. The guy's body was found, and the police were called. No weapon was found, No culprit was identified.
