Chapter Ten
Y/n's pov
You continued to struggle in Toby's grip stubbornly pushing against his chest. He walked you both into a small bedroom using his foot to kick open the door. He sighed as he looked down at you before setting you down gently on the bed. You opened your mouth to speak but nothing came out as he turned and walked over to a small dresser and started pulling out clothes.
Once he was done he set a few articles of clothing next to you not really knowing what to say. You didn't acknowledge the clothing, keeping your eyes on the twitching teen. You made eye contact for a few seconds before he turned his back to you and pulled off his hoodie revealing a long sleeve black turtleneck. He left his jeans on and walked towards the bedroom door. "I'll let y-you change," he said as he turned and closed the door behind him.
You took a shaky breath and ran your hands over your face trying to calm yourself before picking up the clothes and slowly pulling them on, deciding it was better to do what he said then spend another night in shackled in the basment.
Once you were finished putting on the fresh pair of sweatpants and tee shirt you sat down on the bed and waited for Toby's return. Your eyes wondered around the small room, glossing over the papers and the furniture that lay throughout the room. Your gaze landed on a small desk and you slowly stood up, making your way over to it. You ran the tips of your fingers over the splintered wood of the desk before picking up one of the many papers stacked on it.
You frowned to yourself as you examed the slightly crumpled sheet of paper, it held a lengthy figure in a suit and tie similar to the thing that you met when Toby dragged you into it's office. The words 'DON'T LOOK OR IT TAKES YOU' were in bold letters surrounding it. You shuffled through the rest of the paper, them all holding similar eerie titles and drawing.
After a minute of examining the pages you got to the end if the pile. You pushed the rest aside and picked up a heavy medical book alredy opened to a page titled 'Tourette Syndrome - Identifying and Treating' You scanned the page eyeing the section, some highlighted sentences standing out to you,
'Some cases of Tourette Syndrome can cause an individual to experience unexplained outburst of uncontrollable rage or anger. Possible symtoms that go along with anger are most commonly cracking of bones, tics, and uncontrollable stutters.'
'These "attacks" are related to a body's natural reaction to handle environmental and psychological stressors. The person and body can become overloaded and react with any of these symptoms.'
You jumped as the bedroom door opened. "What a-are you doing?" Toby said lowly looking at the book in your hand. You quickly put the book back down.
"O-oh, Toby!" Your sputtered putting on a smile trying to distract him from the fact you were looking through his stuff.
He walked over to you and looked at the book that still lay open on the desk. He shot a accusing glance at you before silently shutting the book. "Let's just g-go to sleep." He said grabbing your wrist and pulling you towards the bed.
You planted your feet to slow him down as you attempted to pull your hand out of his. He took notice and released your hand, "What?" He questioned looking at you rubbing your, now, sore wrist, "Stop dragging me everywhere." You said rubbing your red skin.
His eyes focused in on your wrist and his face immediately dropped. "Did I h-hurt your wrist..?" He asked as he gently took your arm examining my wrist.
You shifted my weight backwards leaning away from him. "Uh.. It's fine, I'll just go to sleep." You said as you stepped around him.
Toby turned around to look at you, "Where a-are you g-going?" He said as his hand instinctively reached out to grip your arm but stopped mid-air and slowly fell back to his side. "The couch?" You said looking at him questioningly.
You turned to walk towards the door but an arm snaked around your waist pulling you back. "No." He said as he pulled you against his chest.
You opened your mouth to protest but he quickly pulled both of you onto the bed and hugged you closer to his chest. "Toby!" You yelped as you attempted to squirm out of his grip.
He ignored this and dug his face into your neck, the fabric from his mouth guard rubbing against your neck. "Let me go!" You said trying to turn your body around.
Your hands worked to push him away from your neck until a hand caught a piece of fabric pulling it off of him. He immediately pulled away and shot up into a sitting position. You mirrored his actions and looked up at him wide-eyed and without a mouth guard.
