frisk then walked up to toriel who was nearby and lessening in on the conversation. toriel "i couldn't help but overhear what you guys were saying. i have no idea who 'Flowey' or 'asriel' are. but i have heard of a flying snail who calls itself jerry who claims to be a time traveler, perhaps you will find better help from them". frisk "(of course, why wouldn't we be in a weird and cursed timeline). i guess It's better than nothing, out of curiosity where are you going?".

toriel "to king snowdrake of course, It's not everyday that it rains annoying dogs". frisk "i really hope i didn't rewrite the timeline. sure some things being changed i can get behind, but this is a bit much". sans "agreed". after a while frisk arrived at waterfall. frisk "from looks alone i can't tell if the water was replaced by chocolate or not. but there was only one place i remember having any snails. it's a good thing the 'water' doesn't smell like one of the options of what it could be, nobody could pay me to test what it is".

soon frisk found the snail racing area. and while it did have a snail. it was clearly not normal. it was around the size of monster kid. it was floating. and it's shell was circular in a hypnotic pattern. with a color matching such a look. it was as if it was made to hypnotize people. frisk "by chance would you happen to be jerry, or at least know where jerry is". the snail "yes i am jerry. it's odd that i only found you 3 in this timeline, but what do you need". frisk "i need help finding out the answer to a time based 'puzzle', after that we are going to try returning to our timeline".

jerry "oh. so you were somehow put in this timeline, tell me the details and i can try figuring this out". frisk "to put it bluntly. i somehow awakened the ability to use magic using determination. my magic was more potent than i thought it would be. and i used it to kill a evil flower in self defence, though that flower had the ability to reset the timeline". jerry "i think i know what happened. while humans aren't known for magic some can use it. but they need to be born with it or make some type of deal to use traits as magic. or there's the case of monster souls having magic but you don't have a monster soul. saying you awoke the ability means you weren't born with it ,and with deals it is normally usable the second it is finalized which means it doesn't get awakened".

frisk "what does this mean?". jerry "simply put. your an anomaly in the eyes of the entire world. you have power beyond what monsters could reach. even though your new to magic it seems that you erased a universal constant from this world. you 3 are the only mortals who will ever remember anything about that flower. you 3 are here because your timeline was broken and were moved to this timeline, i can even sense some degree of temporal connection between you 3". frisk "out of the theories we had, I'm just glad that i didn't rewrite the timeline to be like this one".

jerry "by the sounds of it. you might not even be in your set of timelines, i have no idea how bad the damage is for that to be the case but if you were able to cause it then you have enough raw power to be able to fix it". frisk "i think i have an idea of how to fix this. if i make myself replace that flower in regards to control over the timeline. it would make me a universal constant. and then the flower could be restored if we wanted. i will need to try to find something like a void to locate our timeline. the only catch is i would still be trapped inside a time loop, though at least i would be the one controlling it".

sans "what if me or my brother took that responsibility instead?". jerry "not to say it couldn't be done. but you need a certain amount of determination to be able to maintain that. monsters can die from determination after all. to keep it stable it would require at least being a boss monster. and while both of you are boss monsters. it would cripple you while slowly poisoning you from a determination overdose. only someone safe from determination can do so safely, and either way her determination would eventually overtake yours which would lead to her usurping that responsibility someday regardless of what the 3 of you do".

sans "so there is no other option, i guess that's that". frisk "think of it this way, at least i can ensure the safety of the underground and you know i wouldn't do things how that flower did". sans "i guess i will just have to trust you more, at least i can more than that flower". papyrus "if we bring back that flower then we have to do so from before he was a flower, at least then he would be less evil". jerry "I'm not going to ask. I'm almost certain we are from a different set of timelines, but i wish you luck in fixing your timeline".

frisk "thanks. hope you stay safe, i guess I'm going to try finding out how to make a portal or something". frisk then concentrated her determination as compact as she could. frisk then put her hands next to each other like she was going to try ripping something in half. with a great amount of strain and effort. a hole in spacetime appeared Infront of her. it looked like it could collapse at any moment. though it was fully stable at the moment. and on the inside was an absence of light on such a scale that it couldn't be outer space.
