yandere tale part 0 (the prologue)

it was the night frisk went to mt ebott. she began to climb along the way up. along the way she saw a shooting star. frisk "interesting. haven't seen one before. from what i remember being told, they supposably could grant a wish". she began to consider what to wish for. it didn't take long for an idea to be thought of. worst case scenario there could always be next time or it might not happen. it was not like she would fall into the hole at the top of mt ebott and stay underground forever.

frisk "i wish for someone to accept me for who i am. to have a better life, and to have a better family". unknown to frisk. these all came true. but each came with a twist. her better life was part of a time loop. her better family was from when she gets married. and the person who accepted frisk for who she is just so happened to be someone who initially didn't like her. but not one of them came true initially. those just were fixed events and a cruel aspect of her life that she didn't even know yet.

then at some point she fell into the underground. it felt for a while like she was free falling. until it didn't. she was surprised she survived the fall. though she couldn't tell herself she wouldn't have chosen to do this even if she knew she would die. she was determined. but she wasn't exactly in the best state mentally at the moment. her will to live was unstable because of everything she went through. though it would slowly begin to change for the better. though not from that murderous talking flower.

the only thing that she could trust from Flowey was what he said about how souls work. she had a strong feeling that those 'friendliness pellets' were harmful. and his words after that only confirmed it. after a few more times avoiding them. flowey summoned those pellets all around frisk and threatened to kill her. though oddly said she knew what was going on and that she just wanted to see him suffer. but before he could actually land even 1 hit. a fire ball hit him. he survived but was hurt a considerable amount and was forced to run away. before frisk knew it she arrived at judgement hall.

sans had threatened her each time she encountered him. yet she felt an unexplainable attraction to him. when she entered snowdin sans threatened her to keep pretending to be human for his brother papyrus. and sans looked very upset. like he knew a friend had died recently. it didn't take long for frisk to pick up on why.  And this was where that feeling started. She thought to herself that if she could repeat this day then she would have spared Toriel. If nothing else then to make sans happy.

Sans was surprised that frisk spared papyrus after threatening to give her a bad time if she didn't. While he thought frisk was the type of person who would ignore that threat. He was somewhat happy that papyrus was still alive. He still didn't like frisk. But now had a certain amount of respect for her. He couldn't help but feel that he was misunderstanding frisk a certain amount. Through he also felt a sense of danger from frisk. Things in waterfall were much more interesting when frisk arrived.

Sans wanted to prank frisk with a telescope. Through felt it was a dangerous idea. However frisk would have been fine with it. But as she traveled. She began to have encounters with Undyne. And Undyne kept commenting on how frisk's soul was the last one required to free the monsters from the underground. And even made a few attempts on frisk's life. Even though no monsters in waterfall were harmed by her. It made frisk question if Undyne was a hypocrite or didn't understand her side of the story.

Undyne had mentioned being a hero to monsters in some capacity. But never seemed to notice or acknowledge the circumstances behind any death involving frisk. It was almost exclusively self defense. Through with Toriel it was because she essentially tried to kidnap her and didn't consider that she could change. Oddly enough frisk did end up sparing Undyne. But only because it could upset sans if she didn't. And frisk surprisingly got along well with Alphys.

But when she arrived at judgement hall. It was quite an interesting experience. Sans "so. Your level 17. Yet you stopped attacking monsters when you arrived in snowdin. Can't say I expected this. Unless you had around 10 or more levels before falling into the underground this couldn't be possible. And I discovered some signs of a temporal anomaly that can all be traced back to you. And based on your expression you don't seem to be aware of the anomaly. I can't definitively say that you should be punished for all of your levels. Yet you shouldn't be entirely let off the hook either, can you help me understand your actions? Or at least suggest a punishment?".

Frisk "I was always beaten as a child. I was expected to be capable of something that I wasn't. That continued until I couldn't take it anymore. I really didn't have the best family. I tried all I could to live up to their standards. And they didn't share an ounce of sympathy. As for the underground. It was all self defense. The only exception was Toriel. She basically kidnapped me just as I survived an encounter with a murderous flower. I didn't know if she could have changed, and for what it's worth I apologize because I didn't know she was your friend".

Sans "assuming I believe this. This just makes things more complicated. You aren't to blame for your childhood. And I don't have the authority to do anything about what you did on the surface. But you still ended lives. And it seems that humanity is still around but not as an empire like it was before. One of the only punishments I can give at this time is community service but I don't know if you will continue killing or not. realistically I have to either give you a life sentence or if you cooperate I can try to get you pardoned but you would have to live with me and I'd be responsible for your actions. because I want to believe you I will hold off on the life sentence, you better not make me regret this".
