"Damn.... This is a bad glitch" 27 year old Alex muttered, frowning at a bug report he had just tested and found to be true. The glitch ruined the entire game- he had to fix it.

After working on it for 3 hours with no success on fixing it, he was struggling to even keep his eyes open. His sight was bleary and he had to prop his elbows on the desk and his hands holding his head just to keep his head up.

And it was already 11:46pm.

"You know, you really shouldn't work so hard" a soft voice said, and he blinked and looked, with his blurry vision only making out a shock of pink hair.

"Mai, I'm fine" he lied, smiling slightly. "No need to worry. Not tired... At al-" he lurched forwards, and mai caught him. She stared at him worriedly with her color changing eyes, that were currently blue.

"Yes, you are" she corrected sternly, before helping him out of his chair, him yawning loudly.

"Let's get you to bed...." She mumbled, her face going as pink as her hair when he seated his head on her shoulder.

She put him on his bed. "Don't bother with Pajamas, just try to sleep" she advised, and turned to leave.

But the moment she turned around a hand grabbed her sleeve. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, and turned.

Alex was smiling at her, clutching her hand. "Hey, thanks mai. Your the best" he said, and she chuckled. "I can tell you think of me well. I have noticed you made a character after me"

Alex laughed quietly, struggling to keep his eyes open. "Yeah... Heh"

His grip loosened. "Goodnight, Alex" mai whispered, walking to the door. But three simple little words murmered softly stopped her in her tracks.

She turned and saw he was already asleep. Hands covering her bright red cheeks, she ran out of the room with a small smile on her face.

She wouldn't forget what he had said, even though he couldn't remember the next morning.
