Hanako walked down the sidewalk,in the direction of her home,humming quietly.She turned a corner.Suddenly,a burly man jumped out in front of her and pinned her against the wall of a nearby building.Hanako yelped."Quiet!" The man ordered gruffly.Quivering,Hanako obeyed."What do you have with you?Any weapons?Money?" he asked.Still shaking,the young girl shook her head.The man thought for a while (which probably gave his single brain cell a serious workout)."Know your parent's number?".Hanako nodded.The man smiled coldly."Then you'll be good for ransom.Stay here.".He let go of one of her wrists to grab rope that was in his pocket.Suddenly,a blur of white,dark blue,and silver punched the man in the jaw.He dropped to the ground,holding his jaw.The person kneeled down beside him and punched him repeatedly in the nose,eventually taking out a knife and stabbing him in the chest.After the man took his last breath,the figure got up.Hanako gasped as she saw that the person was none other than Megami Saikou.Hanako's hero and crush."M-megami?" she stuttered.Megami whirled around to face the younger girl.Hanako stepped back frightened,but to her surprise,there was concern in worry,rather than fury in the girl's eyes."Are you okay?Did he hurt you?" she demanded.Hanako shook her head."Good" Megami said.Wordlessly,she hugged the small girl close,cradling her head.Hanako was surprised,but she hugged back,feeling safe in the other girl's arms.When Megami finally let go,she said "I'll walk you the rest of the way home.Make sure you get there safely." she declared.Hanako didn't protest.The rest of the way to Hanako's home,Megami held her hand.This gesture left Hanako slightly shocked,as Megami usually avoided contact.When they arrived,Hanako turned towards Megami."Thank you.You saved my life." she told her.Megami smiled softly.Silently,she bent her head down and closed the gap between the two girl's faces.When she pulled away,she cupped Hanako's face in her hands."I will always protect you."
