(Readers POV)

I just finished my mission. It was a Grimm clear out mission. I checked my sword and shield. They are still in great condition. I heard my scroll ring. I pulled it out and answered.

(Y/N): Hello?

Ozpin: (Y/N). Are you finished with your mission?

(Y/N): Yes sir.

Ozpin: That's good. I need you here back at Beacon. I want you to teach Glynda's class today.

(Y/N): Alright. I'm on my way.

I put my scroll away and started to run back to the nearest bullhead.

(Time skip)

I walked into the arena Glynda teaches her classes in. She turned around and saw me.

Glynda: You're late.

(Y/N): My apologizes Miss Goodwitch.

I looked at the students and waved at them. One girl with red hair and silver eyes got really excited.

Ruby: Oh my gosh! It's him!

A blonde boy leaned towards her.

Jaune: Who is he?

Ruby: How do you not know?! That's (Y/N) (L/N)! He's only the best huntsman alive! He is Remnant's knight in shining armor! Grimm fear him at just the sight of him! He can summon elements to help him! It's said he can strike down a dragon with a single swing of his sword!

Jaune: Dragons don't exist.

(Y/N): Because of me.

Ruby: So cool!

(Y/N): Alright, everyone, calm down. Seems like I have some fans here.

I turned to look at Glynda.

(Y/N): You could've warned me. Now I'm feeling a lot of pressure.

Glynda just sighed.

(Y/N): Alright class. A lucky person here will get to spar with me.

The red hair girl got really excited and raised her hand.

Ruby: Pick me!

I put my finger to my chin and looked at the class.

(Y/N): Who to pick?

Ruby: Please please please! Right here! Pick me!

I looked down and closed my eyes. I should stop teasing her. It's not a very gentlemanly thing to do.

(Y/N): You there.

I pointed at the girl.

(Y/N): Today's your lucky day. Get down here!

Ruby: Yes! Thank you so much (Y/N)!

She jumped on the arena and pulled out a scythe.

(Y/N): What's your name young lady?

Ruby: My name is Ruby Rose sir!

I pulled out my sword and shield. I bowed down.

(Y/N): You can give the first strike.

Ruby turned into a cluster of rose petals and rushed over to me. She slashed her scythe at me. It hit me and I'm sent back. I stabbed my sword into the floor to stop myself. I raised my shield up and blocked an attack from Ruby.

(Y/N): I see you're not messing around.

I pushed her back with my shield. I pulled out my sword and ran over to Ruby. I tried to hit her, but she blocked my sword with her scythe.

(Y/N): You are very skilled indeed.

I jumped up into the air and started to spin. I fell down and tried to hit Ruby. She jumped back.

Ruby: Stop holding back! I want to fight you in all your glory!

I smiled to myself. I nodded at Ruby and held my sword skyward. Lightning stroke my sword, charging my sword with electricity. I rushed over at Ruby with speeds she couldn't see. I swung my sword at her, but stopped right before it hit her.

Ruby: W-what?!

I smiled to myself and stepped out the ring.

(Y/N): You win Ruby.

Ruby: When did you get in front of me?

(Y/N): Do you see why I held back?

I put my sword and shield away.

(Y/N): You would have died before you even knew what happened.

Ruby's eyes went wide. I heard my scroll go off. I took it out and answered it.

(Y/N): Hello?

Ozpin: Sorry to interrupt your class, but I need you in my office.

(Y/N): Ok sir.

I hung up the call.

(Y/N): Sorry class, but I must leave.

I walked out the room and headed to Ozpin's office.

(Salem's POV)

I'm sitting on my throne. Everyone is out doing their tasks. I sighed and stood up. I walked out my throne room and down the halls of my castle. It's very quiet and it reminded me how lonely it gets here.

Salem: No one to talk to.

I made it to my bedroom. I walked into it and sat down on my bed. I reached under my pillow and pulled out a picture of (Y/N) (L/N).

Salem: Remnant's knight in shining armor.

I hate to say it, but I fell in love with him. He reminds me of Ozma before he betrayed me.

Salem: You are also more handsome than Ozma.

We fought once. I almost had him in my grasp, but he retreated. I was so close to victory. I was close to having him.

Salem: Next time we meet, you will be mine. After that, I won't be alone anymore.

I put the picture back under my pillow. I laid down on my bed. I need some sleep to clear my mind.

(Readers POV)

I walked out of the elevator. I'm now in Ozpin's office. I walked up to his desk.

(Y/N): You need me?

Ozpin: I do.

He looked up at me.

Ozpin: I want you to fill my mug.

He handed me his mug. I looked at him confused.

(Y/N): I thought you needed me for something serious.

Ozpin: It is serious. I can't work without my drink and you make the best coffee.

I sighed and walked away to make Ozpin his coffee.

(Time skip)

I've been busy the last few days. Always going on missions, sparring with students, and making Ozpin his coffee. I got a call from Ozpin asking me to come to his office.

(Y/N): This better not be another coffee call.

The elevator door opened and I walked out. I see Ozpin sitting at his desk and steam coming out of his mug.

(Y/N): This isn't a coffee call?

Ozpin: No. This time, it's serious.

(Y/N): How serious?

Ozpin: Taking down Salem.

(Y/N): Are you sure? I had to run last time.

Ozpin: I'm confident you can beat her this time. I'll be there to help you.

I pulled out my sword and shield.

(Y/N): Alright. Let's go.

Ozpin nodded and stood up from his desk.

Ozpin: We need to leave soon.

I nodded at him and we entered the elevator. The doors closed and the elevator went down.

(Time skip)

I'm staring out of a window of a bullhead. A dark and horrible place is all I could see. Grimm everywhere, coming out of black pools of unknown liquid.

Ozpin: This is going to be a dangerous mission. There is no going back this time. Are you sure you want to do this?

I turned around and looked at Ozpin in the eyes.

(Y/N): I'm positive.

Ozpin: Ok. Just wanted to make sure.

After a bit, the bullhead stopped. I jumped out of it and landed in front of a huge castle, Salem's castle. The front doors open and I saw Salem herself.

(Salem's POV)

I was woken up by the sounds on an engine. I looked up to see a bullhead.

(Y/N): Salem!

I looked ahead of me and saw (Y/N). Me heart sped up, but I'll make sure to keep my composure.

Salem: (Y/N). It is very nice for you to visit me. May I ask who is in that bullhead?

(Y/N): It's Ozpin in there.

I feel my eye twitch when he mentioned his name. I raised my hand towards the bullhead, ready to destroy it right there. (Y/N) rushed over to me and slashed me with his sword, sending me back into me castle.

Salem: I see he is in the mood to fight.

I got up and rushed out of my castle.

(Y/N): Sorry about the front door.

Even if it's me, (Y/N) still is a gentleman. He got into a defensive position.

Salem: I'll give you a chance to leave. Leave now or die.

(Y/N): I won't run away like last time!

(Y/N) stood his ground. I laughed to myself a little. Seems like he's mine now. I noticed some Grimm walking over. I snapped my finger and their attention went straight to (Y/N). They rushed over to him. (Y/N) raised his sword skyward and lightning went to his sword. He slashed the air, sending lightning to all the Grimm and killing them.

Salem: As strong as ever I see.

He ran over to me. He slashed at me again, but I dodged. He continued to slash at me and I dodged all his attacks. He kicked me in my stomach, knocking me back a bit.

(Y/N): Prepare yourself!

He pointed his sword to the left. Ice came from his blade and he slashed at me, encompassing me in ice. (Y/N) pointed his sword to the right and fire came from his sword. He swung it at me, knocking me out of the ice.

Salem: That hurt!

I made a Grimm tentacle and tried to grab him with it. He jumped up and dodged. He cut the tentacle. (Y/N) stabbed his sword into the ground. A dark purple energy came from the ground. He pulled his sword out and swung it in my direction. A purple wave came at me. I moved to the left to dodge, but it hit my arm and cut my arm off.

(Y/N): That took more energy than I thought.

I heard him whisper. I heard some footsteps. Ozpin walked over and stood next to (Y/N).

Ozpin: You can't give up (Y/N).

(Y/N): You're right.

I started to laugh.

Salem: So Ozpin, you decide to show your ugly face.

Ozpin: You die today Salem.

(Y/N): I will defeat you!

He pointed his sword at me. An idea popped into my head.

Salem: You know this will end badly, right?

Ozpin stopped and looked down to the ground.

(Y/N): What do you mean?

Salem: Oh Ozpin. Don't tell me you didn't tell (Y/N).

(Y/N): Tell me what?

He turned and looked at Ozpin.

Salem: I can not be killed!

My arm grew back.

Salem: Go on... Ozma. Tell him everything.

(Y/N) gripped his sword tightly.

(Y/N): What have you not told me?

Ozpin just stayed silent.

(Y/N): Salem. What is he not telling me?

Salem: I'll gladly tell you.

Ozpin: No!

I made some Grimm tentacles and grabbed Ozpin with them. I pulled him over to me.

Salem: This man isn't what you think he is. This isn't the first time he has done this. You aren't the first to try and kill me.

(Y/N): I'm... not the first?

Salem: That's right. Ozpin, or I should say Ozma, loves to get people killed. He manipulates people to his will. He manipulated the whole world even. He wants nothing but me gone and he'll do anything to get what he wants. Even if it gets millions killed.

Ozpin: Don't listen to her (Y/N)! She's lying!

Salem: I have no reason to lie. And you sound like such a hypocrite.

(Y/N) looked dead in Ozpin's eyes.

(Y/N): Is she lying?

Ozpin looked down. He didn't say a word. (Y/N) closed his eyes and shed a tear.

(Y/N): Why Ozpin? Why?!

Ozpin:... I was tasked by the God of Light. He told me to gather the four Relics. He told me that if humanity hasn't changed, then we will all die. I knew I couldn't finish my task with Salem still on the face of this earth. I'm sorry for not telling you.

(Y/N) took a step back.

(Y/N): I... was just another pawn to you. Wasn't I?

Ozpin: No! That's not it!

(Y/N) turned around and started to walk away. Ozpin opened his mouth to call out to him, but I covered his mouth.

Salem: I always wondered Ozma. What would happen if I threw you into the pools the Grimm come from? It just might get rid of your soul for good.

He just shook his head no. I walked over to one of the pools and submerged him into it. His screams are muffled by the liquid. His body quickly broke apart and disintegrated.

Salem: Finally. Got rid of Ozma for good.

I turned around. I made my way to (Y/N). I put my hand on his shoulder. He stopped and looked at me.

(Y/N): I guess this is the part where I die.

Salem: Oh no. I would never kill you.

He looked at me confused.

Salem: I want to do the opposite.

(Y/N): Opposite of killing me?

Salem: Yes. Come with me.

We walked over to my castle and we walked inside. I walked into my throne room. I went behind my throne and there is a chest. I opened it and pulled out a bottle.

(Y/N): A bottle of water?

I turned around to face (Y/N).

Salem: Not just any water. This is the water that granted me immortality. I want to make you immortal too.

(Y/N): What? Why?

I walked up to him and put my lips on his. He just stood there in surprise at first, but eventually melted into the kiss. I broke the kiss and looked into his eyes.

Salem: I want you. If you accept my offer of immortality, then we can fix what Ozpin did to this world. We can make a perfect world without the Gods help.

(Y/N) looked down and thought for a minute.

(Y/N): Alright. I accept.

I gave (Y/N) another kiss. He actually accepted.

Salem: I'll get to work on making you immortal soon. But for now, I just to be around you.

I wrapped my arms around him. He leaned in and placed his lips on mine. I held his face and we stayed like that for a while. There is one lesson I learned in my lifetime. The hearts of men... are easily swayed.
