"U-ugh... My head is killing me...."
You groaned as you reached to rub your temples. Your [E/C] hues took their time to focus and eventually you realized that you laid on a futon with double mattresses, it was comfy, to say the least.
It wasn't your bed, however.
Confused, you sat up, intent to decipher where you were. Looking around even further, the room you were in held a subtle and relaxing atmosphere, as the interior wasn't too spacious yet too narrow, and was a traditional Japanese-styled architecture with Tatami mats collided together.
"This looks like my grandparents' place... All cozy and warm.." Almost tempted to go back to sleep, you didn't, but itstead began to ponder about how you even got in this situation in the first place. You stared downwards and at your lap concealed by a navy blue blanket, and gradually your memory started to return.
Your eyes widened.
'I remember now! I was going home after buying groceries and had ran into Kirishima...' Your lips then pursed. 'After that, we parted ways... but how does that explain how I got here??' Curious, you searched your body for any needle injections, only to find out there weren't any. "Strange..." You whispered.
Tap.
Tap.
Tap.
A small noise caught your ears, and it only grew louder the more it continued to inch near.
Footsteps.
Your heart immediately began to pound just a little bit faster, nervous to who your captor was. Anxiety overthrew you and you laid back against the futon, facing away from the door as the blankets fell just above your shoulders.
'W-What should I do? Am I in danger?? Should I run?!?'
Everything seemed so frantic to you due to your sense of panic. The footsteps had then suddenly stopped, parking right in front of the wooden door. It slid open within seconds, and the figure entered, meanwhile you clasped your eyes shut.
He exhaled by the sight of your sleeping body, holding a tray with a cup of leaf tea placed in the center of it. Crouching down in front of you, he turned your body into his direction, attempting to wake you up by gently tapping his knuckles against your cheek.
Doing this slowly caused your eyelids to part, allowing the other to stare into your hues full of fear. But after your eyes had locked, he noticed they had softened in that moment, revealing your relief as well as happiness. Quickly, you sat up, clenching the blankets in your grasp.
"Sho-Shouto?!! This is your house??"
The boy nodded nonchalantly, placing the tray down with delicacy. He then handed you the cup of tea, crossing his legs to get comfortable. "Yeah. Do you like it here?" He asked you, receiving an innocent nod instantly. You grabbed onto the tea with two hands, taking a sip carefully.
You moved it away from your lips slowly, not realizing that you had your eyes closed while savoring the flavors. "It tastes really good!"
Todoroki attempted to redeem his rising blush, however watching you so closely only exhilarated him. Your lips looked extremely kissable, and the passionate look on your face made him fall deeper for you. "I'm glad that you like it.." He spoke, uncontrollably leaning. His hand stroked against your [H/L], [H/C] locks, giving him the sanity he needed.
You noticed this. There was a million other ways you could react, however you couldn't preform any actions other than moving away from his touch. Unexpectedly, Todoroki took offense to this, flinching his hand away. He started to stare towards you, and removed his gaze after a substantial amount of time.
"..."
"Did you have fun with Kirishima?"
This question caused your stomach to twist. "How do you... know about that?" You asked him slowly, carelessly taking another gulp from your beverage. Todoroki pursed his lips. "Just answer the question, [Y/N]."
It felt like the atmosphere completely darkened.
As you previously thought your memories were rather vague, there was piece of memory playing in your mind. It felt real, but that the same time, unreal. This event occurred right after you left Kirishima. You remembered being pulled into a narrow alleyway, and to your surprise a cloth was smothered against your nose and mouth, putting you under deep slumber temporarily.
This was a heavy weight off your shoulders, but it terrified you as well.
Only one thought remained.
'Who sedated me?'
It was practically common sense and out of human nature to assume it was the male within your area. Still silent, your eyes ran up to Todoroki's subtly, prepared to sprint out of the room.
'It must've been Todoroki... But maybe he had a reason to do this??'
Nonetheless, you wanted to keep yourself out of potential harm. Tossing the blankets from covering you, you carefully moved. "L..Listen Shouto... I should really go home now.. my dad must be really worried about me."
The boy in front of you looked very unconvinced. His heterochromatic hues were stripped from life, darkened and upset by the lie you shamelessly spouted. "Your dad... is taking a trip overseas right? I thought he wouldn't return after three weeks." Todoroki boldly countered, upstarting more fear to brew within you.
You were more uncomfortable than concerned, and had shot to your feet, soon shaking your head in disbelief. "How did you know that??! No one at UA knew!!" The way you looked made him chuckle darkly, but before you could even bolt he stood up and moved in the way of your path, emanating the aura that he was prone to allowing you to escape so easily.
"[Y/N], stay calm, and lay back down...." He quickly staggered one foot onto his futon and attempted to reach to grab you, however you swiftly dodged his hand. "No. Not until you explain to me what's going on..! How do you know about Kirishima? And my dad??"
Gulping down your terror, there was one more question you wanted to ask, but your tongue had twisted and turned, holding you back until inevitably; you spoke.
"...Are you the one who .. drugged me, Shouto?"
Enveloped in silence, he lowered his hand. "..." How could he ever lie to that beautiful face covered in both fear and fury? The boy placed his previously lowered hand up to his eyes, applying pressure to them as he slouched. "I wanted... you to stay with me.. So this is.. This is the only way... I'm sorry [Y/N]."
He spoke honestly, before raising his gaze up towards you while witnessing your lowered guard. Todoroki suddenly moved forward. His movements caused you to move back until you felt your spine push against the wall, causing you to feel immediate regret without an clear reason.
Eventually he grew close enough. So close that you could practically hear his heartbeat.
"I won't let you leave.. I want you to remain by my side. It took me a while, but I realized how much I needed you, and how much you needed me.." He told you stoically, slithering his hand to run his fingers through your hair, stopping as soon as he reached the tips. He brought your hair to his nose with closed eyes, sniffing it while being soothed by your mere scent. Todoroki then opened his eyes, his lifeless gaze stared into your soul, pressuring you into vile submission. The clock chimed quietly yet loudly in the background, ticking and ticking, becoming louder.
"He... Hey... you're really freaking me out.. so drop the act..!" You nervously spurred, directing your hues elsewhere. You didn't dare look up at him, despite the fact your eyes wanted to stare at the expression he held currently.
The boy grew silent once again.
"Do you really think this is all a joke?"
"[Y/N]... Can't you recognize the feelings I have for you?"
"Can't you realize the things I've done for you until now?"
He placed his hands against your shoulders and smothered you into a tight embrace; one hand against the back of your head while his head burrowed into your neck. His heterochromatic hues looked more than tortured - but dismantled as well. There were numerous cracks in his sanity at this point, however your presence was his medicine.... his cure......
His stability.
"I remember that conversation you had with Kirishima the other day too..." He whispered, rubbing his hand gently against your back. "You told him that you preferred a strong lover, who could protect you... That's why I.." Todoroki stopped. "That's why I wanted to become stronger. I made it my duty." His gaze shifted away as he began to have flashbacks, being rather submissive as his memories breached his mind. "After that, I wanted to test Kirishima. I wanted to know if he could truly protect you, and if he was strong enough."
Your eyes widened, and as soon as you heard his sentence, you immediately began to squirm frantically, desperate to escape his grasp.
Todoroki released a soft, yet insane chuckle, remembering vividly as he continued his rant. "I didn't even use my quirk against him. I didn't want to. The majority of me wanted to see just how capable I was of defeating him." Todoroki spoke near your ears as if it was highly intentional, as if he wanted to imprint the words he told you permanently within your mind. He leaned away and you felt your knees weakening, your expression horrified by the person he's become now.
The boy raised his hands scattered with band-aids, staring at his palms while his fingertips trembled in unsettling excitement. He had a twisted smile, and eventually looked up at you, his two-toned strands of hair a dangling mess and blocking a subtle part of his right eye.
"I strangled him, [Y/N]."
"I strangled him tightly, even through that shell of his."
Breaking down into a random burst of chuckles, Todoroki gripped onto his locks on the left side of him, easily proving that he was enjoying the feeling of wretched confusion. "Still... I can hear his gags, his pleads for help... But I kept going, until I felt his body stop squirming..."
Devastated by the truth, you knew that what he was telling you was no bluff. It was described so vividly, informing you about what he had done from first-hand experience. You felt your back slide against the wall slowly, collapsing against the Tatami mats in shock. "Oh.. God... You.. killed him.. you killed Kirishima.." You whispered. During this pause in time, you not only grasped onto the fact that you were in danger; but you needed to escape his home as well. Even if it costs your life, you didn't want to be trapped with a complete psychopath. Suddenly overthrown by your consciousness, your body moved on it's own. Standing up, your heel pivoted as you made a sharp turn, shoving Todoroki harshly away from you in the midst of your actions.
He staggered back and bumped into his desks, standing in surprise. Regaining himself, he followed you as you sprinted out of the room and down the long hallways. Your eyes scanned every door you passed by, feeling as though you were stuck in a maze. "The exit.. I just need to find the exit!!"
Todoroki's eyebrow twitched. He knew his residence like the back of his hand, however somehow in some way; you managed to grow near the exit. He hoped that you'd fall over or take a wrong turn, that way... he'd be able to capture you without going through any "unnecessary" lengths. "[Y/N]! Come back here!" He shouted. Meanwhile, you ignored him, and ran down the staircases belonging to the lower floors.
'I have to find somewhere to hide to throw him off of my tracks!!' You thought, quickly sliding into a dark closet. The door remained parted halfway so you could view if your adversary passed by. However while stuck in hiding, a foul stench traveled up your nose.
It smelled horrible.
There was strange pressure applied to your back as you remained leaned against the considerably soft wall, your hand pinching your nostrils. You moved around, uncomfortable by the position you were held in, nonetheless you waited patiently.
Tap.
Tap.
Tap.
There it was.
Footsteps.
Or... that's what it sounded like at first.
You quirked a brow. There was something odd and out of place, and you needed to figure out what.
'Those aren't footsteps... It sounds like water leaking...'
Currently agitated as well as curious, you placed your hands against the wall, searching for a light switch. Your finger adjusted over the plastic, and without hesitation you clicked onto the pad, the lights instantly flicking on.
From then on, your eyes looked around, traveling down towards the floor. You squinted after recognizing that this was not water dripping so frequently.
In fact, it was blood.
As soon as it became obvious, your eyes widened and fear was shot through your body once again. Despite your fear and lack of courage, you looked back over your shoulder, pieces collecting.
The horrible stench.
The soft walls.
The pressure against your back.
And the dripping blood.
Loudly, you screamed, opening the closet door in a panic. Your eyes were full of tears, and as soon as you stepped out of the closet, something extremely heavy collapsed against your back, knocking you to the floor.
You looked back and covered your mouth, terrified and wanting to vomit by the sight.
It was the body of Todoroki's sister.
Her dead body.
Your scream brought enough attention for your captor. He clicked his tongue and arrived within your area, figuring that you've already discovered one of the bodies he hid. "[Y/N]!" He called out to you, "I have a very good reason to why I had to, just let me explain-"
You shoved the corpse off of your body and staggered to your feet, sparing no time for a conversation. You stumbled as you made your way through the hallways, and just ahead; you spotted something familiar.
An exit.
Adrenaline kicked, providing as a fuel to the fire. You quickened and charged towards the door, desperate to view the outside. "I-I'm almost there!" You gasped, extracting your hand away while being no less than a few meters.
"I...can leav-"
Suddenly, you began to lose balance, and your left leg felt go numb. "..Huh...?" You questioned, slowing down. After a minute you eventually felt a strong intense ache in your calf, displeasing and full of agony. "Ugh-!"
Collapsing, you glanced down, clasping your hand around the wound. You wanted to know the source of this strict pain, groaning loudly.
Of course.
An icicle.
It dug deeply through your leg and seeped with large amounts of blood. Wincing, you continued, biting harshly against your lower lip. You couldn't give up. Not yet anyway.
In attempts to ignore the immense pain, you crawled slowly, your cheeks flushed from shedding so many tears. You grunted after each pull, your bloodied leg trailing with blood behind you.
'Someone please....'
Hearing slow footsteps behind you, you pushed forth, eyeing the wooden doors with a lack of hope. Heavy breaths wailed from your lips, and you knew Todoroki was just behind you at this rate.
'I don't want to be...'
Todoroki crouched down near your feet, grabbing onto your leg to pull you away from the door slowly. You screamed and kicked, remaining persistent by digging your fingernails against the wooden planks. "Please! No! Stop! Let me go!" You pleaded. Todoroki obviously held no pity for you, and was more intent than ever to keep you with him. "Don't struggle, [Y/N]. I'll make sure we can be happy here. I'll protect you.. So please.."
Your figure remained helpless, and you cried senselessly, the gap between you and the exit widening.
Flinching, a needle was suddenly pushed into your skin. Your entire body was growing limp, fully aware that at this rate; you couldn't run or deceive him. The drug he injected into you worked like a charm, gradually putting you into a deep sleep for a long period of time. Your vision grew hazy, and slowly, you lifted your eyes up at the doors one final time, engrossed in despair.
'I don't want to be stuck here forever.'
