(Y/N)'s POV

I can't believe that this is happening to me out of all people who should be in my shoes right now. A girl who's part of the uprising school idol group is in love with me.

To make things even crazier, it's the leader herself, Honoka Kousaka from u's. The one who started the idea of saving our school by becoming school idol.

However, she also has other self that triggers whenever I'm with someone else that she doesn't know.

Her yandere self.

I don't want anyone's life be taken away by Honoka, so I'm trying my best to take care of her feeling.

Present time...

As I make my way to school, I saw Honoka and she waved her hands to me.

Honoka: Good morning!

(Y/N): H-Hello, Honoka.

I greeted her and she giggled at my demeanor.

Honoka: How is my beloved boyfriend doing?

She walked closer to me and I blushed because of how gorgeous she is.

(Y/N): I'm fine as always. Hope that you're the same.

Honoka: Hehe... of course I do. You didn't talk to anyone else behind me, right?

I couldn't answer her since I was too nervous. People may think I'm a cold person for not having a conversation with them or at least say "hi".

Honoka: Right?

She repeated the words while glaring at me and it sent shivers down through my spine as I nodded in agreement to her.

(Y/N): Yeah, yeah! True that!

Honoka: Hehe...

She holds both of my cheek and kissed me on the lips for a few seconds. I just enjoyed the moment since I'm her boyfriend by force.

Honoka: Come on! Let's go to school together!

We arrived at school right on time and walked through the hallway. I gazed around and spotted Umi and Kotori who's actually watching us secretly from afar. Honoka didn't notice this since she was happy that I'm by her side.

Honoka: As usual, don't forget to have meals with me together during recess and lunch, okay?

(Y/N): Absolutely. How could I forget my girlfriend inviting me?

Honoka: Aww~! Okay! I have to go now! See you later!

She then leave me to her classroom as I continued my way as well. Once I got into the class, I saw my classmates staring at me all the way until I sat on my chair.

(Y/N): Hmm... I wonder what did I do to catch others' attention?

I can hear them gossipping while looking at me, but I pretend that I don't care at all. The school rings and everyone went to their seat as the homeroom begins.

Timeskip...

Recess...

As I was walking to the canteen to buy food and see Honoka, I saw Umi carrying a box and she seems to be in need of a hand because of how heavy they are.

I approached her and asked if she needs help.

(Y/N): Are you okay, Umi?

Umi: I-I'm fine. Don't worry about me.

(Y/N): You do look like you need some help.

Umi: No, no, it's oka-

Then, she accidentally dropped all of the items in the box on the floor, creating a loud noise and scattering them around.

Umi: O-Oh, no... I messed up.

She was too embarrassed that she could die from it. So, I decided to just help her by cleaning up the mess.

(Y/N): Here you go.

I offered her the box and she carried it all the way to the storeroom. I followed her along in case she might scatter them again.

Umi: Why?

She said to me right after she keep the box. I was a bit confused as to what is she asking me for.

Umi: Why did you help me?

(Y/N): Isn't that what someone kind-hearted would do when they saw others struggling?

Umi: B-But, you're dating Honoka and if she found out that you're with me...

(Y/N): Hey, it's fine. I'm just here to help you out as a friend, that's all.

Umi frowned a bit and blushes from what I said and then make a surprised expression as she excuses herself.

Umi: I have to go now. Thanks for the help once again.

She bows down to and speed walk away from me. I was a bit confused of what's with the girl until...

Honoka: (Y/N)-kun!

My girlfriend hugged me from behind and out of nowhere. Maybe that's why Umi left quickly.

(Y/N): Hello there, Honoka. Also, you startled me from the surprise hug.

Honoka: Sorry. Where have you been? I told you to wait for me.

(Y/N): I went to the toilet, and then the teacher asked for my help to carry the box to the storeroom.

I lied a bit to make sure she's not being suspicious.

Honoka: I see. Well then, come on! We're running out of time for lunch!

She grabbed my hand and drag me along with her. Then, we head to have lunch together under the shady tree. Luckily, she didn't notice anything about me helping out Umi during our chat and I'm relieved of it.

Umi's POV

Night...

Umi's House

I was resting after a day of being busy at school. Then, I recalled the time (Y/N) helped me out today.

Umi: No... I cannot... He belongs to Honoka already. I only see him as a fan, and that's it.

I thought to myself as I laid on the bed and slowly fell asleep.

The next day...

Rooftop...

After School

Right after our rehearsal for the day, I was thinking about (Y/N)-san once more. Even though he only helped me once, I feel like I should get closer to him. But then, I'm also a bit hesitant because of Honoka.

Kotori: What's wrong, Umi-chan?

I heard Kotori calling me and I knew that I have to let her knew eventually.

Umi: We can't talk here. Let's go somewhere private.

She was confused and we went to an empty classroom as I tell Kotori what's in my head.

Umi: Kotori... I think I'm in love.

Kotori: In love? With who?

I brushed my arms in embarrassment and let her guess.

Umi: I think you should know him. The one who's close to us.

It took her a moment to recall who am I referring to. Then, she came into realization.

Kotori: You mean, with Honoka-chan's boyfriend?

Umi: Yes, and I want him to be mine.

Kotori: What?! You want him to cheat on Honoka?

Umi: No! I mean...

I love (Y/N), but at the same time I couldn't afford to see Honoka in anger and sadness.

Umi: I just... wanted Honoka to share (Y/N) with me... so that it's a win-win situation.

Kotori: Umi-chan...

She gave me a worried expression.

Umi: Kotori...

Then, I glared at Kotori and I didn't feel like myself at the moment.

Umi: I have a crush on (Y/N), and I will not let Honoka hinders me to fall in love with him.

I said seriously while trying to keep myself calm. I can tell that Kotori's worried of me, so I'll keep my limit.

Kotori: If that's what you want to do, then I won't stop you.

Umi: Thank you.

I hold her hand and lift them up together.

Kotori: I hope things goes well between you guys.

She reassured that things would go well, and I hope to settle this before our next live.

The next day...

Lunch...

(Y/N)'s POV

As usual, I'm on my favorite spot to eat and relax during break time. However, Honoka couldn't join me since she has some work to do.

???: All by yourself?

As I'm enjoying my lunch, I heard a voice talking to me and I saw Umi-san.

(Y/N): Yeah, Honoka has some business to do.

Umi: Fair enough since she's the school president.

(Y/N): ... Want to sit with me?

Umi: C-Can I?

(Y/N): Absolutely. I don't mind some company, after all.

She sat beside me and I don't know why, but I feel like I should let Umi become closer to me.

Umi: So, how is it going with Honoka?

She started a conversation to make things less awkward.

(Y/N): Quite different. She didn't let me talk to any girls that she's not familar or don't even know in general.

Umi: I-I see...

I don't know why am I being honest with Umi, but I have to at least let her know.

I gave her some of my food and she enjoys it.

Umi: Thank you...

(Y/N): You're welcome.

(Y/N): ... What about u's? Are you girls ready for the next upcoming live?

Umi: We're almost there.

(Y/N): I 'm looking forward to it.

Umi: You won't be disappointed, I assure you.

I laughed a bit and continue our lunch. After a few minutes, the bell then rings as I stood up from my spot and clean up.

(Y/N): Thank you for accompanying me today.

Umi: You're welcome.

She smiled at me and I was charmed with how gorgeous she is.

A tint of blush painted across my cheek as I gazed away from her and head back to my classroom. While going back, I thought to myself.

(Y/N): Do I... love Umi too?

Umi's POV

During class...

I did it!

I'm a step closer to (Y/N) by chatting with him today.

However, I shouldn't be too happy about it yet. I need to make sure that (Y/N)'s fine with my presence around him.

Umi: Just you wait, Honoka.

I thought to myself and smirked.

Umi: I won't let you have (Y/N) by yourself!

(Y/N)'s POV

After School...

Evening...

I'm at the library right now to do homework since I don't feel comfortable doing it at home. I felt better working on my homework here since the ambience's really quiet.

Then, I heard the door opens and Honoka enters the library.

Honoka: There you are.

She carried a chair and put it beside me while humming to a song.

(Y/N): Still rehearsing your new song?

Honoka: Our next live's soon, so I have to try my best.

She laid down on my shoulder and let out a sigh of relief as I caressed her hair and kiss her at the forehead.

Honoka: Hehe, this is why I love you.

(Y/N): Love you too, Honoka.

Honoka: Oh, right! I'll be right back. I forgot something.

She left the library right after as I continued my homework. Then, another person enters the library and it's Umi.

Umi: Hello, (Y/N)-san.

This time, she smiled seductively and went close to my seat.

Umi: Sorry to interrupt you doing your homework.

(Y/N): No, that's fine. It's not that much right now.

She then leaned her head to my shoulder and close her eyes while smiling. To be honest, half of me feels right doing this while the other thinks that it's wrong.

Umi: Hey (Y/N)-san, what do you think of me?

I didn't expect her to suddenly be flirty and I don't know what's going on in her head.

(Y/N): U-Umi-san, I think you're being too close-

Honoka: Hey! What's the meaning of all of this?!

Honoka arrived and she was furious of seeing Umi beside me.

Umi: Oh, we're just chatting with each other. Right, (Y/N)-san?~

She said seductively and caress my cheek.

(Y/N): Umm... yeah.

She grabs Umi and pulls her away from me.

Honoka: Are you trying to take MY (Y/N) away?!

Umi: Of course not. I'm just bonding with him, that's all.

(Y/N): G-Girls, calm down.

Honoka: Bonding?! Have you been doing this behind me, (Y/N)?!

(Y/N): Well, you said not to talk with anyone that you don't know.

Honoka: That doesn't mean you can just talk with my other idol friends by your own!

(Y/N): I still love you, Honoka. There's no way I would cheat on you.

I tried to calm things between them, knowing that they would pull their yandere trope right now.

Honoka: Like hell I would let you take him away!

Umi: You're mistaken. I want (Y/N) to be mine as well.

Honoka: Too bad. First come, first serve.

(Y/N): Girls, p-please don't argue because of me-

Honoka, Umi: SHUT UP!!!

Both of them yelled at me and goes insane just to see who deserves me more. At that point, I just couldn't take it anymore.

I ran out of the library and head to the stairs and keep running.

Umi: (Y/N)! Where are you going?!

Then, I arrived at the school's rooftop door and opened it.

Umi: (Y/N)... Don't tell me that you're planning to...!

(Y/N): I don't want to see you girls fight to each other. This isn't the u's that I know!

I continue stepping back until I reached the edge and I can see the school's ground from atop. I gazed at the door and the girls went close to me.

Umi: Don't do it!

Honoka: (Y/N)-kun, please don't!

(Y/N): If you girls wouldn't stop arguing because of me, then...

Umi: We tried to discuss it nicely, but Honoka wouldn't listen!

Honoka: Me?! You're the one who's flirting with (Y/N)!

Umi: I love (Y/N) and I want you to share him with me!

She confessed her love to me suddenly and I was surprised by her action.

(Y/N): Umi... You...

I was about to come close to her, but...

Umi: Don't come too close!

She pushed me away from her too hard and I fell to my back.

I feel myself falling from the school rooftop... I can see Honoka trying to grab me, but she failed.

This is it... I couldn't even cry because it's what I want anyway... I don't want u's to break up because of me...

Honoka: (Y/N)-kun!!!!!

I heard Honoka's scream of horror as I fell down from the rooftop and hit the ground so hard that my head hurts really bad that I bleed terribly right after. I looked to the night sky covered in clouds.

(Y/N): Hono... ka... U...mi...

I said their name and raise my hands before I lose consciousness and closed my eyes.
