"You stupid bitch! What kind of grades are these?!", your father shouted angrily. "I'm sorry..", you mumbled quietly as tears started forming in the corners of your eyes. "Don't say fucking sorry. It will not change everything!", he shouted as he slapped you. You held your reddened cheek. It burns. It was one of those days again. Your father forces you to be the 'perfect' daughter that he always wanted. He will force the knowledge to get in your brain. He would stack tons of books infront of you just to get the pride that he wanted. But this time he didn't. When he got drunk he would punish you by physical means. You had to endure all the pain that you get when he beats you up. No one cares, not even your own mother. It hurts, you thought as he repeteadly kicked your body onto the ground. Please kill me already, save me from this broken reality. Once he was done with you, he would order you to get out of his sight.

You ran to your room and slammed the door shut. You cried onto the side of the bed, the moonlight luminating your room and a dark shadow casting upon your frame. After a few moments, you looked up to see your cellphone blinking. Wiping your eyes, you opened them to see Kise's name flashing on your screen. You smiled in relief as you quickly pressed the accept button.

"_______cchi! Are you alright? I heard your dad screaming, I'm so worried! I'm going to come over wait f-", you cutted him with a shush. "I'm fine Ryouta don't worry about me. I'm really glad that you called.", you smiled happily to yourself. "_____cchi, I don't want to hear you cry.", Kise said. "Ahaha who said I was crying?", you laughed weakly. "_____cchi...", he said with a sad tone. "Let's move to another topic, I've been wanting to hear you all day!", you said excitedly. "Ah!~ I want to tell you about when I saw a dog that looks like Kurokocchi today! It was so cute. I wanted to hug it but Kurokocchi suddenly appeared and then threw a basketball at me. He is so mean sometimessu", he whined. You chuckled as his actions which you find extremely adorable. "I really love it when you laugh ____cchi!~", he said. Your heart skipped a beat and you felt your face getting hot. "O-oi s-stop joking like t-that!", you stuttered. Your conversations with Kise always felt like this. It started out really friendly but ends up with you blushing like a dork. Then he would joke about it and say that he can imagine you blushing right now. These talks would last hours and you cherished every moment of it.

"Hey can I come over there now?", he said. "What?! No! I'm probably locked up here and my father is going to kill you!", you said. There was a long silence on the line. "Ryouta? Ryouta? Ryoutaaa?", you asked but still no reply. When you were about to end the call he suddenly spoke up. "Ah okay good night _____cchi!~". "Uh okay bye Ryou-", he ended the call. Strange you thought. You just shrugged it off and went to bed.

Kise has been continously asking you to come to your house but you declined everytime. "Haa? Why don't you come to my house instead?", he pleaded. "Eh?! Then I would be in alot of trouble! You know my dad. He's quite something.", you said as you unconciously held your bandaged arm. Kise caught this and quickly pulled out your sleeve. You winced and he gasped at the sight of a badly injured arm. "Did he do this?", he said in his serious tone. You bowed your head and slowly nodded. He slowly held your chin and tilted it so you can see him. "Do you want hin gone?", he suddenly asked. "What? No no I can't do that he's my father.", you complained. "But look what he's doing to you? and to us!", he said. "Us? What do you mean 'us'?", you asked very confused. He suddenly hugged you tightly and whispered darkly through your ear 'He's seperating you from me'.

A T N I G H T

You haven't seen him since then but what scared you was the repeated texts from Kise. It all contained 'Do you want him gone?'. You were scared, you haven't met this side of Kise. You opened your window and breathed in a sweet breath of the night air. The moon illuminated half of your room, and you enjoyed it. A small buzz caught your attention but you were afraid to look at it, scared to find out that it was another text from Kise. You opened it and you widened your eyes in fear.

'I'm taking matters on my own hands from now.'

You dropped you phone. What does it mean? Matters?! You felt a shudder from the bottom of your spine. Something bad is going to happen. You turned around to see Kise staring at you from the front of your house. His dull eyes never wavered from you. You were suprised when he suddenly smirked and entered the front of your house. A few moments later your doorknob began to move. You peered under the door to see a shadow. Few attempts were made. A sudden thud rang, blood made it's way to the front of your room. Your phone rang and you shakily picked it up.

"Open up ____", Kise's deep husky voice said.

"P-please don't.", you trembled. A sigh was made from the other line. A few moves from you doorknob and it was opened. "______cchi~", Kise said while smiling. His clothes smeared with blood. You just stared at him in horror. He stepped towards you and held your face close to him. He cancelled out all the space between you and kissed you softly on the lips. You peered through his back and saw the corpse of you father. You pulled away in fear. "_____cchi shouldn't disobey me. After all that I've done for you.", he said sounding annoyed. He kissed you on the neck which sent shivers down your spine. He enjoyed seeing your 'cute' reactions. He mumbled a small 'I love you' before pushing you down.
