The Valkyries

Girls who decided to dedicated their lives to protect Humanity against the Honkai, until they die

They were the hope of Humanity, and had a lot of pressure on their shoulder

Y/N POV

Merchant: And never come back! You useless piece of shit!

The merchant throw me to the ground, my backpack too, as i rubbed my head

Y/N: At least you accepted me for the job! Thank you!

He flipped me off, before slamming the door shut, as i sigh

Y/N: Another week for me to starve to death.....

I took my backpack, and started to walk away, a little down

Y/N L/N, 18 years old, trying his best to survive in a world where only talents are valued

I lived in the street since i am 15 years old, since the day i was able to flee from my parents home, who was a living hell for me

Most people would think i had a happy childhood, since i was smiling everytime

My eyes widened as i did my best to run toward the bunker, but see it was already closed, and full

I had a sad smile on my face, before i walked in the middle of the streets, knowing my time has come

Y/N: Seriously..... What a shitty life.....

I could hear the roar from the Honkai beast everywhere in the city, as i just took a seat in the middle of the street, and decided to catch a breath

Y/N: 3 years without rest...... At least i can rest in death now.....

A beast landed in front of me, and roared, as i smiled sadly at it

Y/N: Hey..... Can i ask a favor?

The beast stopped roaring, as it look at me, curious, while Zombies were walking toward me

Y/N: Can you..... make it quick? I...... have enough of the pain of living..... please.....

Tears falled from my eyes, as i chuckled

Y/N: And here i am, begging for a beast to kill me quickly...... I really have no pride left...... no, i never had pride, because of them.......

I closed my eyes, before i could only hear slash, and roar, before it died down

I opened my eyes, and see a blond haired girl looking at me with a stoic face

Durandal: Odd, in all of my career, i've never see someone accepting death this easily. My name is Durandal, and you?

Durandal: The Honkai beast have stopped their attack toward you, after you asked them a favor, do you know why?

Y/N: Heh, maybe they just took pity on me..... After all, i have nowhere to go, and no one would want me anyway......

She looked at me with a scowl, before she grab my arm, and make me stand up

Durandal: You are coming with me to Schicksal

Y/N: W-Why?

Durandal: I will ask the overseer to give you a job there

Y/N: R-Really? T-Thanks!

I smiled at her, as she blushed, and smile

Durandal: Come on, or maybe it will be too late for you to get the job

Y/N: O-Oh no! Let's go then, Miss Durandal!

She nodded, before she lead me to the plane, where a maid was waiting for her

Maid: It is good to see you safe, Miss Durandal, if i may, who is this young man?

Durandal: He is Y/N L/N, i saved him from Honkai Beast a few minutes ago

Rita: Oh, it is a pleasure to meet you then, my name is Rita

She lead us inside the plane, as i was taken to the nurse office, where Rita was treating my injuries on my face

Rita: You seems to have a broken rib, i need to check if it pierced a lung or not

Y/N: J-Just..... don't ask about the scars, okay?

She nodded, as i took off my shirt, revealing my scarred body, as she placed her hand in front of her mouth

She nodded, before she checked my body quickly and see that i have a broken rib

Rita: When we get back to Schicksal, the doctor will perform a surgery to heal you from this broken rib

Y/N: Thank you..... And i know you want to ask about them, right....?

Rita: Indeed, these scars couldn't be obtained by normal fights

Y/N: That's from my parents...... I fleed from the house when i was 15, it started when i was 4...... If you don't mind, i'm going to take a rest

I placed my shirt back on, before i laid on the bed near me, and drifted to sleep

Narrator POV

Rita walked out of the room, as Durandal was waiting for her

Durandal: What happened to him to get this much scars? And to be so scared

RIta: So you saw it too. His look had nothing but fear and sadness in them. For the scars, i have the answer, but we will need to inform the overseer about it first

Durandal: You're right. I know she will help Y/N

Timeskip - Otto POV

I was in my office, letting out a sigh, one more day without him in my life

Otto: I will bring you back...... I couldn't save you that day...... but i promise, i-

A knock was heard at the door, as i adjusted myself, and smile

Otto: Come in

The door opened, as 3 person walked inside the room

The first one was Durandal, more serious than she always is

The second one was Rita, who don't have her usual smile with her

The third one was......

Durandal: Overseer, i am here to ask for a request

Otto: What is it, Durandal?

Durandal: I would want this men to work for Schicksal from now on. His name is Y/N L/N, he don't have a home, and no family that can take care of him

Y/N..... It's just a coincodence, they just have the same name......

Y/N: Uhm..... Hello, Miss Apolcalypse, my name is Y/N L/N, and i would love to work for Schicksal! I will work hard, and not let you down!

He looked at me shock, before he beamed with hapiness

Y/N: I will do anything! I won't let that chance be taken away from me! I will not let you down!

Otto: Well then, be prepared to go in the next week, until then, Rita and Durandal will watch over you

Y/N jumped around like a child, almost like it was the first good news he had in his life

I smile gently at this, before i saw his back, and saw scars

My eyes widened, as i clenched my teeth and fist, before i smile at Rita

Otto: Can you take Y/N to his room? He must be tired from all this trip

Rita: Understood, have a nice day

She walked away, Y/N as her side, still happy to have a chance, as i look at Durandal dead in the eyes

Otto: Who caused his scars?

Durandal: From what Rita told me, he got it from his Parents, who may have tortured him for 11 years

Otto: ....... You can do whatever you want with them. But make sure they suffer, and don't kill them. I want to meet them first

She nodded, and walked out of the room, as i look outside, furious

Otto: They will pay for what they did to you..... I promise

Narrator POV

Rita who walked out of Y/N room, after he falled asleep, had a smile in her face, and her eyes glowing a little

Rita: I will protect you Y/N~ I will sacrifice the world for your smile~

Durandal was currently in the training room, as she was destroying the A.I

Durandal: Even though he suffered, and was rejected for most of his life, he keep smiling...... But unlike me, he didn't had any potential, and suffered even more..... I will protect you, Y/N, this is my duty, for you

As you can see, i did give a reason for Durandal to be a Yandere for Y/N, since she saw what she could have been, if she didn't had any potential
