Chapter 1: Unexpected Guest
[(A/N): Hey guys! Unfortunately, it's happening again. I got a spark of inspiration, and of course, it's not for my ongoing stories. Anywho, enjoy!]
[(Y/N)'s POV]
I sat on my couch and watched TV in boredom. While it was nice living alone at times, it got pretty boring. I picked up the glass of (Favorite Drink) sitting on the coffee table and took a drink of it. Suddenly the TV show I was watching cut off, and was replaced by a news anchor.
Newsman: "We interrupt this regularly scheduled program to bring you breaking news. A series of brutal murders have police baffled. Police advise staying indoors and making sure-"
I sighed and changed the channel.
Me: "Nothing but bad news."
I went to take another drink, but realized my glass was empty. I stood up and walked over to the kitchen which connected to the living room and opened the fridge. After pouring myself more of my favorite drink I started to go back to the living room, but stopped as I heard a noise from upstairs. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
Me: "Probably just paranoia."
I mumbled to myself before sitting down on the couch, taking a sip of my drink and flipping through the channels, finding nothing of interest. I suddenly heard a faint, female voice.
Female: "Don't go to sleep."
While this was unnerving, and generally creepy considering I lived alone, I simply looked around. The room was empty. I sighed and set my drink down, then got up. I began walking through my house slowly, searching every nook and cranny before going upstairs, into my bedroom and picking up my Beretta(M9). I then strolled back downstairs.
Me: "I swear. I'm so damn paranoid that I'm hearing voices."
Truth be told, ever since I was young, I had felt as though I was being watched. Of course I never found any proof of someone following me or something of that sort so I never really mentioned it to anyone, I simply chalked it up to paranoid delusions. As I got into the living room I stopped in my tracks. On the couch was a woman with long black hair. I could only see the back of her head from this angle, so I couldn't see any facial features. I raised my pistol and aimed at her.
Me: "Who the hell are you, and why are you in my house?"
I spoke in a steady, yet strong, voice. Although, natural human reaction would be to yell, freak out, and become hysterical at some unknown intruder entering their house, I stayed calm and collected. I watched as she slowly turned around. Her skin was comparable to porcelain, in both color and complexion. Her eyes were a solid black, showing no sclera. And finally, the last feature that caught my attention, were her lips. Pitch black lipstick was cleanly covering her lips. I just now noticed she had my drink in her hand, as if she had been drinking it the entire time. She said nothing as she set the cup down and stood up. She wore a black dress, that seemed to cling to her curves. Despite her otherworldly appearance she was... alluring in a way. But I showed no sign of this as I tightened my aim on the mystery woman,
Me: "Don't move. I'll ask one more time, who the hell are-"
I started only to be cut off.
Jane: "I heard you the first time, darling. My name is Jane. And I've come to... COLLECT what's mine."
She started to inch her way forward.
Me: "I said don't move."
I spoke in an assertive voice and she stopped, raising her hands as if to surrender. While still aiming at the woman, I reached into my pocket to grab my phone... only to find that it wasn't there. I watched as she smirked and held up my phone in her right hand.
Jane: "Lose this?"
Me: "Set it on the ground, and slide it over."
Jane: "Aw... afraid to come get it from me?"
Me: "No, just wary of the knife strapped to your thigh."
I motioned downward.
Me: "Next time you want to hide a weapon, chose a dress that won't give away the holster strap."
I noticed the strap as soon as she stood up, it only showed slightly so most wouldn't have caught it.
Jane: "My my... just what I'd expect from my darling. Fine, have it your way."
She slowly bent down, all the while keeping eye contact with me, and set the phone on the ground. She then slid it over to me. I bent down and grabbed it, then went to unlock the screen... only to find out that it didn't respond. I broke eye contact with Jane for only a moment to look at my phone before realizing my mistake. As my eyes locked on her again she was within my firing range and disarming me. I took a step back as she aimed my pistol at me. I raised my hands in defeat.
Jane: "Good boy. Now, turn around."
I did as she said. I closed my eyes and focused solely on hearing her foot steps.
Me: 'I have one chance at this, if I mess up she'll easily kill me.'
I waited for her to get closer, then stop. Without any warning I ducked while turning around. I quickly located her hand that held my gun and smacked the weapon from her grasp. I then pushed myself forward and tackled her to the ground, pinning her arms by her head.
Jane: "Ohh~ Aggressive... not exactly what I like... but I have a friend...."
I suddenly felt an impact to the back of my skull. The blow to my head was sufficient enough to make me collapse and fall beside Jane, who was now getting up.
Jane: "Who would just love you."
Those were the last words I could make out before I fell unconscious.
[Jane's POV]
Me: "You realize this still doesn't mean I'll share him with you, right?"
I looked over to Jess as she looked at my dear (Y/N).
Jess: "Uh huh... Whatever you say. Now let's get him back to the mansion already."
