(Y/N)'s POV

"Everybody, put your hands in the air!"

One of the most famous quotes for DJs when they're playing their music for the public to listen. I'm also quite a fan of some DJs out there.

I would often listen to DJ songs and music whenever I'm doing chores just so that I won't get bored easily.

Before I became a DJ fan, I would often be a bored person. I didn't get excited even on the first day of school.

One day, I saw a poster promoting an upcoming DJ concert and I asked myself, why not I go there? I asked my parents and they allowed me.

The day for the concert is finally here and I get myself ready to watch the performance. There's a lot of people as well waiting for the concert to start.

Once the performance begins, the DJ begin playing their tracks. The moment where they played their music is catching my interest. Then, the moment the beat drop... I got excited along with the crowds.

After that concert, that's where my life change. The joy of playing your music and making people anticipated to wait for the beat to drop is something that I'd never thought I needed.

From that day, I decided to be a DJ fan and heck, if I could, try to make my own DJ music.

I told my parents about it and they would support me. It makes me happy that I also have a supportive family.

Present time...

(Y/N)'s House

Saturday, Night

(Y/N): What? You want me to start a life by my own?

Right now, we were at the living room and discussing about my future.

Mother: Yes, I'm enrolling you to a new school and live all by yourself.

(Y/N): B-But, why? I'm already fine with my life here with you guys.

Father: (Y/N), we want you to be independent. So, you must learn on how to live by your own. Don't worry, we'll transfer you a few digits of cash enough to buy supplies for a month.

He said while putting both of his hands on my shoulder. Truth to be told, I don't mind if I have to live by my own. I even get more privacy for myself.

(Y/N): A-Alright then. So, when will I move out?

Mother: You'll be departing on Sunday morning. So, get ready. Take all what you need.

She said and I was about to head upstairs when I forgot to know which school is she talking about.

(Y/N): If you don't mind me asking, what school will I enroll to?

Mother: I heard that Yoba Academy is taking new students apparently.

Yoba Academy? I've never heard of that school before.

Mother: From what I heard, there's DJ group which is all females.

Now, that caught my curiosity. When she mentioned that, it changes my worries to excitement. However, I need to keep myself calm for the time being.

(Y/N): DJ girls, huh?

Mother: Yes, you heard it right. We know that you're a big fan of DJ, so we might as well enroll you to the school.

(Y/N): Alright, I understand. Glad you guys know what am I into and support me for it.

Father: We wish you good luck for your new school life, son.

They smiled at me because we have settled down things smoothly even though I was hesitant at first.

(Y/N): Thanks, you guys.

Mother: You're welcome, son.

For the night, I prepared my stuff by packing up mostly what I need and get ready for tomorrow.

The next day...

It's time for me to move out. My parents have helped me to move my stuff into the truck.

Once we're all set, we begin moving out to my new home which is close to Yoba Academy.

The journey was quite long. It was around two hours by driving in cars. We finally reached the house where I will be living in.

Not going to lie, the house seems to be okay. Not too fancy and not too obsolete. Just a simple two storey house.

Once we moved all of my stuff into the new house, I went to have a short house tour to get myself used to every paths and where is the kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom.

There's also a basement and I head down to see... only a shelf. Maybe I'll try to see if I can make it lively.

Mother: Take care, my dearest (Y/N)!

Father: Hopefully everything will be fine when you live by your own from now!

I waved at them as they drove away along with the truck. I get myself prepared as I did a quick warm-up as I said...

(Y/N): Alright! It's time to get busy!

On the first day at my new home, I decided to do cleaning at some part of the house since I can't do all on a day.

I got to say, I was satisfied by how are things progressing. I decorated the living room here and there, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, fill the refrigerator with foods and drinks.

Of course, I put on some DJ music to make sure I would do the work better.

(Y/N)'s New House

Sunday, Night

I'm inside of my room right now, taking a nice moment for myself. Then, I thought of Yoba Academy, the school that has DJ group there.

(Y/N): I wonder how would my new school looks like.

I asked myself while laying down on the bed. I have thousands of questions in my head like is the girls cute, what years are they for each members, their group names and so on.

(Y/N): Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

I head straight to sleep for the night since I don't really have anything else to do.

The next morning...

Monday, Morning

The alarm rings as it interrupted my sweet dream. However, I have to face the reality whether I liked it or not.

I turned off the alarm and rise from my bed. After that, I do the daily routine which isn't so special... except that I put on some DJ music to get some excitement and to boost my adrenaline to start the day.

(Y/N): Nothing is better than putting on music that matches your mood while doing work!

A moment of putting on school uniform and some quick breakfast later, I'm now fully prepared for my first day at my new school. I locked the front door and get ready.

(Y/N): Alright! Let's go!

And with that, I make my way to Yoba Academy... while listening to music with my headphones.

Yoba Academy

I finally arrived at the school and I'm not going to lie, it has some good infrastructure.

I asked for a few students to know where to go to the teacher's room. A few minutes later, I arrived at there and knocked at the door.

(Y/N): Excuse me.

Teacher: Yes, you may come in.

I slide open the door and come inside as I greet the teacher.

(Y/N): Umm... good morning, teacher. I'm a new student here.

Teacher: Ah, (Y/N)(L/N), right? Your parents told me about you. No worries, I'm just going to ask you a few questions and then you're accepted here.

(Y/N): Very well.

The questions wasn't that hard, I answered it quite simple and he said that I passed.

(Y/N): Thank you for accepting me.

Teacher: You'll be enrolled together in my class. So, when it's time for homeroom, I want you to follow behind me and come in if I told you so.

(Y/N): Alright.

Timeskip...

The school bell rings and I went to the class where I'll be in for the rest of the year. I stood right at the front door as the students greeted the teacher.

Teacher: Good morning, class. Before we start our homeroom today, we have a new student. You may come in.

I head in to the class as I wrote my name at the whiteboard and introduce myself.

(Y/N): Hello, everyone. My name is (Y/N)(L/N) and I'll be the student for this class. It's nice to meet you all and I hope we can be friends.

I bow down at them and they clapped.

Teacher: (L/N), you'll be sitting beside Akashi-san right there.

He said as he pointed at an empty chair beside a girl. She has sharp blue eyes and short brownish-black hair with yellow highlights. Her hair almost reaches her shoulders.

(Y/N): Alright.

I sat down at there and put my bag on the floor.

Teacher: Alright, class. I hope you have done your homework that I gave you recently.

As he was talking, the girl spoke to me.

???: Nice to meet you, (Y/N).

She said as I was about to say something. However, the teacher noticed me.

Teacher: (L/N), I get that you're new to the school. But, that doesn't mean you can do what you want on your first day. Save the chit-chat later.

(Y/N): My apologies, teacher.

I bow down at her and he sighed.

Teacher: Alright. Now, where was I?

As he continued his learning at the front, the girl beside me gave an apology sign using her hands. I accepted it as we focused on the class.

Timeskip...

Recess

Cafeteria, Afternoon

Right now, I was ordering food at the cafeteria and I admit, the food here seems delicious.

I took my order which is a simple curry rice and found an empty table. I sat there and enjoy my food.

(Y/N): Time to eat!

I said before digging in my food and it's delicious. I'd never thought that the food at this school is quite mouthwatering.

???: Is this seat taken?

I heard a female voice and it's the short haired girl in my class.

(Y/N): Not really. It's only me alone here.

???: Can I... sit here beside you?

(Y/N): Go ahead.

I said and she sit down beside me and put her food on the table.

???: Hey, umm... I'm sorry for today's class. I can't believe you're the one who have to get scolded.

(Y/N): No, no. That's fine by me.

She extend her hand to me as she introduced herself.

Maho: My name is Maho Akashi. Nice to meet you, (Y/N).

(Y/N): Likewise.

We shake hands with each other and she smiled at me and I blushed a bit from it. Man, am I that lucky to already have a female to befriend me at the very first day of school? It feels like a dream come true to me.

Maho then slowly dig in her food as she asked me.

Maho: So (Y/N), why are you enrolling into this school?

(Y/N): Hmm... to simplify it, my mom tells me that there's DJ girls here. I have a huge interest with DJing ever since I went to a DJ concert before. I didn't know if the DJ is popular or not, but they played actually good music.

Maho: I see.

???: Maho-chan! Let's eat together!

Suddenly, a female appeared right at the front of us. She has red eyes and medium length blonde hair, with a section put into an overhead braid. She wears a red bow on the right side of her head.

Maho: R-Rinku... you startled me.

Rinku: Oh, who is this? Your new friend?

Maho: Yeah. His name is (Y/N).

Rinku: Nice to meet you! My name is Rinku Aimoto! You can call me Rinku! I hope to make friends with you, (Y/N)-kun!

This girl is so energetic, I swear. However, it didn't bother me much because I don't mind befriending her.

(Y/N): Nice to meet you too, Rinku.

She then squeals and hug me out of nowhere.

Rinku: Ooooh~ You're so warm!

(Y/N): D-Don't just hug me out of nowhere.

Maho: That's true, Rinku!

She said as she separated both of us. Oddly enough, Maho was frowning when Rinku hugged me.

Rinku puts her lunchbox on the table and opened it to reveal some delicious food inside.

Rinku: Mmm!~ Looks delicious!

(Y/N): You're the one who made them, though.

Rinku: That's the best part! Homemade cooking can be good if you master them!

She has a point though.

Rinku: Let's eat!

She dig into her food and her eyes sparkled from how delicious it is.

Rinku: So delicious!

We then continue eating our food.

???: Rinku! Maho! Why are you two here?

Then, two other girls shows up and walk toward us.

One is a short girl who has brown hair with a pink gradient at the ends and round golden eyes. Her hair is tied into twintails with red bows, but it normally reaches down to her shoulders. She wears bunny ear headphones and has a piece of hair sticking up.

She's also holding a cat plushie which make me feel odd. Do this school allows the student to bring their plushie?

And there's the other one who is taller. She has blueish-black hair and teal colored eyes. Her hair reaches down to her waist, and part of it is pulled back with a white bow.

???: Who is this guy?

The girl with bunny ear headphones asked.

Rinku: He's our new friend! Muni-chan, Rei-chan, meet (Y/N)-kun! (Y/N)-kun, meet Muni-chan and Rei-chan!

Rinku introduced us to each other as I bow down to them a little.

(Y/N): Nice to meet you girls.

Muni: Muni Ohnaruto. Nice to meet you too, (Y/N).

Rei: My name is Rei Togetsu. Glad to have you here, (Y/N)-san.

She bow down at me as she introduce herself. Man, she's so polite. They sat down at the empty chair and we continue our chat.

(Y/N): You know... usually I would have listen to DJ songs or music whenever I'm doing something so that I wouldn't get bored easily. Those are my favorites.

I told them about myself and they're listening to it.

Muni: Wait, you're saying that you're a huge fan of DJ?

(Y/N): Precisely. It changed my life and I devoted myself to DJing.

Rei: If you don't mind me asking, how do you become a fan?

(Y/N): Oh, you want to know? Let me tell you a story.

Rinku: I want to listen!

Rinku's excitement cause Muni to get startled.

(Y/N): Here's what happened...

I then tell them about my DJ liking origin as they listened to it.

Maho: That's a very good story!

Muni: Yeah! Never thought that you would be a diehard DJ fan.

Rei: I agree. If you didn't go to that concert, maybe you wouldn't be here.

Come to think of it, I kind of agree with what Rei said. What if I just stayed at home all the time and continue living my boring life? Maybe my parents wouldn't want to see that happens to me.

(Y/N): Let's not think about that. I'm okay with how I am right now.

Muni: You make the right choice to move here.

(Y/N): Yeah, I agree.

Maho: Hey, (Y/N). You want to know something?

(Y/N): What is it?

Maho: We're actually in a DJ group.

I was surprised that I just know about this.

(Y/N): Wait, are you serious?

Rinku: Of course we are! Our DJ group name is...

She stand up and put her hands in the air and said...

Rinku: Happy Around!

She said her DJ group name happily while twirling her finger in the air.

(Y/N): So, that's your group name and your tagline, huh? Pretty interesting.

Maho was about to say something, but got interrupted by Rinku.

Rinku: I know, right? But, you can call our group HapiAra if you want.

I'd never thought that they have an abbreviation for their DJ group name as well.

(Y/N): Alright then.

Maho: Hey, (Y/N)... I want to ask you-

Rinku: Would you come to our live performance tonight?

Maho got interrupted by Rinku and I didn't expect them to have a concert already.

(Y/N): Wait, you're having a concert already?

Muni: We did this before actually.

I think they did it before I enrolled into the school.

Rei: Hope that you would come to see us.

(Y/N): Of course I will! I want to see how good is your performance!

Muni: Don't underestimate us!

Muni pointed at me while smiling confidently and we continue our lunch. Moments later, the school bell rings as we went to our classroom for the day.

Yoba Academy

Monday, Night

It's already night time and I went to the place where the DJ live is being held. I went inside and there's so many people in here.

After moments of waiting, the stage darkened as the lights got opened to reveal Happy Around in their stage outfit. I got to admit they looked good and charming.

Rinku: Everyone! How are you guys doing tonight?

The crowd cheered in excitement when hearing Rinku. Looks like she got the answer she needed.

Rinku: I know, we're excited too! Hope you enjoy our performance!

The crowd seems to be cheering and I just looked at them.

Rinku: Give Me Awesome!!!!

I'm not going to lie, I was fascinated by the performance. It gives me excitement that's the exact same during my first concert visit that changed my life.

Looks like my parents did the right thing to enroll me to this school. I don't mind graduating here with the DJ girls if I could.

After they played a few more songs, the concert ended and everyone was still has some excitement in them. I went to meet up with Happy Around to congratulate them.

Maho: How was our performance?

(Y/N): Splendid! Wonderful! I... I can't say anything! It's really good!

Muni: Glad you liked it.

Rei: (Y/N)-san, what do you like about our performance?

(Y/N): Let's see... Your outfits is cute and matches the vibes of your songs, how energetic you can be up on the stage and how the audience cheer each one of you.

Rinku: You think our performance is good because of that?

(Y/N): Yes. This is the similar things I face when going to my first DJ concert.

Rinku: Hnnn!~

She grunts and was about to hug me out of nowhere again. But, I stopped her from doing so.

(Y/N): Rinku, don't just try to hug me out of nowhere.

Muni: (Y/N)'s right.

Then, she mumbled something that I can't even hear it.

Rinku: Sorry, I can't control myself! I really appreciate you saying that!

(Y/N): Ahaha, it's okay.

I gazed at the others and Rei only let out a small giggle. Muni was a bit jealous and the same goes to Maho.

Maho: Hey (Y/N), umm...

(Y/N): Yes, Maho?

Maho: Can we exchange our phone number? Maybe we could chat some time later.

(Y/N): Sure thing.

Rinku: Me too! Muni-chan, Rei-chan, you want to chat with (Y/N)-kun too, right?

Muni: I don't see why not.

Rei: I'm with Muni-san.

I can tell that Maho seems to not like it when her group also wants my phone number.

(Y/N): Ahaha, sure. Sure.

After we exchanged our phone number, I bid them good night as I packed up to leave the school.

Maho: Hey (Y/N).

As I was about to walk back to my home, Maho called me.

(Y/N): Hmm? What's up?

Maho: I want to thank you for coming to our live today.

(Y/N): You're welcome. I'll gladly be a HapiAra fan and come to your live next time.

Maho: Really? I'm so happy to hear that!

She smiled at me and it's still as gorgeous as the first time I see it.

Maho: So, umm... I have a weird request.

(Y/N): What would it be?

Her face got a bit red and she finally asked.

Maho: Can we... hug? Just for a moment.

Her request is weird, but I decided to just fulfill it since she asked for my permission this time.

(Y/N): I don't mind, though. Just please don't go too far like Rinku.

Maho: I promise.

She gave me a quick hug for a few seconds before separating. I guess this is why she's not happy when Rinku does it because she also wanted to have her turn.

Maho: Alright! I'll be going now! Good night!

She waved at me before leaving and so do I. What a first day of school today with Rinku and Maho already giving me a hug.

Maho's POV

I did it!

I hugged (Y/N).

His body feel so warm and I really wanted to embrace him longer. But, I need to control myself.

The moment I saw (Y/N), I already like him. He said that we're splendid? No, he must mean only me, right?

Maho: What's wrong with me? Asking a guy I just met for a hug?

I asked myself and try to self-reflect. Then, the images of (Y/N) plays in my head. His handsome smile, how he complimented Happy Around and how kind he is.

Maho: He's a nice guy, though. I hope that he wouldn't stab us in the back with other DJ girls.

Flashback...

(Y/N): I don't mind, though. Just please don't go too far like Rinku.

Maho: I promise.

I can feel his warmth when hugging me and I want more of this.

Flashback ends...

Maho: I... I can't stop thinking about him. My heart's beating rapidly.

After that, I imagined if (Y/N) would fall in love with Rinku instead of me. If not, it could also be Muni or Rei.

Maho: No. I won't let the others take (Y/N) away from me!

I said to myself as I walked back home for the night.

She then winked at me and I get a bit aroused from it.

Muni: Something is wrong with Maho lately.

We're at the PA system room while thinking about Maho who's not here.

Maho: I won't let you go until I'm satisfied.

Maho said as she unbuttoned her shirt to reveal her sexy lingerie underneath.
