The Danavas smirked at Vishnu. "If you feel that you cannot fight us, then you must acknowledge it." The Danavas shrugged. "After that we will first kill you and then kill Brahma."

Vishnu spoke to the two Danavas. "No one ever fights a child or another warrior if the other warrior is tired, afraid, weaponless, or the other warrior has fallen. That is the way of the warriors." Vishnu eyed the two Danavas. "But the two of you have fought me for five thousand years. And I am one, and there are two of you."

The Danavas stared as Vishnu continued. "The two of you took rest at intervals, and I could not rest." Vishnu nodded at the two Danavas. "So I will rest and then fight the two of you."

Hearing the words of Vishnu, the two Danavas walked away from the fight.

Then when he was alone, Vishnu wondered why it was so difficult to defeat the two Danavas.

Vishnu meditated and finally realized the boon that the two Danavas had obtained from Aadya Sakthi.

'I have uselessly fought these two for five thousand years. These two can be killed only when they want it.'

Vishnu thought for some more time and finally arrived at the answer that praying to the Devi would be the best course of action because the Devi could then show him an appropriate way to defeat the Danavas.
