(29) REASONED THEIR RELAXATION

Arjun was perplexed by her sudden hug. No doubt he was happy, but at that time uncertainty had clouded over his happiness. His sharp warrior sense wanted to discover the reason behind her this action. But he himself wanted to reciprocate her in the loveliest way ever possible. Finally he decided to follow the urging of his heart over his uncertainty. He wrapped his well built muscled arms around her softly.

His first touch made her reactive towards it in a sensitive way. As she snuggled a bit more into his embrace he felt the brushing of her nose at the middle of his chest. That made him tightened his grip more over her, but he controlled this reflex action as the great Gudakesh wasn't so easy to be influenced under any inculcating factor. Moreover he needed to make sure that this closeness shouldn't be resulted into an uncomfortable one for Subhadra.

Saffron coloured upper stole of Arjun was moving with the rhythm of wind to be wrapped around Subhadra. It was seeming like the miniature sight of orange hue around Sun God was reflecting itself in form of Subhadra being wrapped in Arjun's attire partially. The sight of the sky was looking heavenly due to the grace of the heavenly body, and the sight on the earth was filled with the goodness of that grace in a very harmonious way.

He sensed her anxiety as the releasing of her breathes were extended a bit much than the normal level. He placed his hand on her hairs while pressing his ring finger, middle finger and index finger over her hairline to soothe her which worked well too. He understood that his attempt was successful when the grip of her arms loosened over him, from his back to his waist which was indicating that she was feeling relaxed.

But now her hold over his waist was making him struggle with emotions. He whispered "Princess" to her though he didn't wish it fully. But she just hummed which was slower than his whisper itself. Her this move made him give up. He bent his head over hers with the content of being captured in her care which was willing to compensate his years long yearning for her.

Somewhere else:

The darkness of sky had few twinkling stars as the source of light. But on earth there were million of earthen lamps creating the misconception of Diwali. The cleanliness of path of streets were complementing by rangoli decoration of each house. Crackers were bursting over sky as if trying to touch the heights more and more with attempt of each time.

The place was none other than Hastinapur, and the reason behind all these arrangements was a soon to be arrived guest. Serving guests as Gods was surely a widely followed decency at that time. But the arrangements of close to the level of perfection were indicating a special interest of crown prince Duryodhan who was waiting at the entrance gate of palace while moving his eyes over arrangements frequently, each time being more observant than the previous.

At a moment the sound of conches followed by many other enthusiastic sounds made the royal family aware of the arrival of their awaited guest. The maids around started to throw flowers in air as the person stepped down from his chariot. Hailing in his name made him smile as a reciprocation towards the warm way of welcome.

"Pranaam, Gurudev!" Duryodhan touched his feet, to which the person made him get up, and patted on his shoulder.

"How was your journey, Shriman Balram?" Shakuni came to front with folded hands not letting dau answer to the greetings of Duryodhan.

"It was absolutely fine, Gandhar raj!" Dau replied while excusing himself from Shakuni. Then he went towards king Dhritarashtr and queen Gandhari.

They greeted dau with utmost respect as the teacher of their son, prince Duryodhan. After exchange of some formal words in between them Duryodhan urged everyone to proceed inside the palace.

"I am so much grateful towards you that you came here by keeping your words. Finally I am going get your guidance in mass practice, Gurudev!" Duryodhan told in a genuine thanks giving tone which can't suspected from any angle.

"How haven't I come, dear Duryodhan? I had accepted your request from a long ago, and had promised for that too. I know keeping my promises, and I believe in the vice versa too," Shakuni smirked over his statement by imagining about the implementation of his goal.

At Dwarka:

Kanha was staring out of the window of his chamber. Half shaped moon was getting gratified with it's exact shape of smile over lips of Dwarkapati. His admiring stare towards moon was making the moon hide behind the clouds occasionally, as if it was unable to hold overloaded happiness by being still at one place.

In between this hide and reappear session of moon a wave of sound made it's place in the air with a gentle pace. It was a melodious tune. Kanha shifted his stare over surrounding following that insistence. Finally his eyes reached at the destination where they need to halt.He saw a girl was moving her fingers over strings of Veena at the middle of the garden. It took no time for him to recognize that she was his sweet trouble giver, Subhadra.

She always prefers to play musical instruments under sky rather than any enclosed place. He knew her this choice, and he was an admirer of this unlike her other traits. The range of tune was rising up and coming down with a well versed frequency. Suddenly he decided to go back to past with that up and down sequence of her tune.

Flashback:

"Kanha, why are you troubling your maiya? Open your mouth, my lal!" Yashoda maiya insisted to a three years old Kanha, to which he nodded a straight no.

"What happened, Lalla? Why aren't you willing to have food today?" Yashoda combed his curls affectionately.

"Maiya, why moon is half shaped today? Once you told that you love me till moon and back. But now it's half shaped, means is your love getting decrease for me?" He asked while stammering, and taking short breaks due to his tender age which were making Yashoda adore him more.

"Getting increase and decrease is the eternal rule of nature, Kanha. Love has a gradual path of proceeding with ups and downs. Moon is just an example of my emotions towards you, Lalla, not my whole emotions," Yashoda explained, but the outcome was little Kanha was staring at her with his palm over his chin.

Then she took a bite of food in her hand.

"You know what's this?" She asked to him.

"Yes, I know. It's a bite of my plate," He replied, and smiled as with his answer Yashoda also smiled.

"Isn't it a small portion of your plate?" This question got a instant yes from him.

"Like this moon is a part of our bonding. It's not the whole. Understood, Kanha?" She stuffed the bite into his mouth, and pulled him more close to her side hug.

Flashback Ended

Kanha's POV:

I know you are sad because of dau's sudden departure. But your sadness became intense as unknown to yourself your emotions are part of Yashoda maiya's emotions towards me and dau. Sister can be a mother to her brothers even if she's younger to them as care and affection aren't limited to a particular age. Mother's heart always aches when her children went away from her, no matter how much important purpose it has.

I wasn't there by your side. Because I could haven't faced the emotions which you were holding. Somethings are difficult to me also, and one among these is to again meet that heart wrenching sadness which I did while leaving Vrindavan. Dau and me cherish Yashoda maiya in you. That's why your sadness has greater impact on us than your happiness, that too that particular sadness of separation.

But I am relaxed that you consoled your self by your own. It's not easy in case of heartily emotions. But you did it. After all you are my Yogmaya, the unbeatable power ever.

POV Ends

When the chain of his thought broke Kanha noticed that Arjun was also present not so far from Subhadra. Obviously the tune brought him there. He was smiling with content after looking at recognizable calmness over Subhadra's face.

"Consoling ourselves over any emotional turmoil is the most difficult one. I am glad to see that you have this potential. I used to be bothered that how will you handle emotional turmoils if you had to come across any such in future as you are the most pampered in your family. But today this bothering got replaced by the confidence in name of your this move," He stated happily looking at the fading figure of Subhadra with focused eyes as she started to leave from there.

Always make me calm
Whether you are piece of peace or peace itself
Each time make relaxation wash over me
Whether you are a blow of wind or wind itself
Never failed to bring hope to me
Whether it is freshness in concept or fragrance of your goodness indeed
Whatever it is
It is too promising
It is too pleasant
Let it be registered in my name for forever
No matter the reason behind the fact

Arjun whispered these lines being captured in his admiration towards Subhadra. Suddenly he looked upward to see Kanha complimenting him for his poem through mischief glinted eyes. Unable to bear that for much time Arjun also left from there.
