(24) SEEKING HIS GRACE IN GUILT

In between Arjun's bewilderment evening approached by painting the western sky in it's usual colour. Subhadra also reached to Arjun's place with preparation of evening veneration. When she sang the prayer he felt different kind of vibes. Like she was urging something with her words. That feeling was also a mystery for him as her silence towards him nowadays.

Suddenly his eyes caught with the unclear taints of ink on her skirt before her leaving. Then he got to know that her silence nowadays is nothing just indulgence in administrative work. But before he could felt relief for the truth he discovered another question wrapped him up. That's why didn't she inform him about this?

He was disappointed with that question. He was trying to convince himself in name of the excuse that she must haven't got time to say. Because after discussion of that topic of bravery they barely interacted with each other. After that excuse his disappointed heart thought that he doesn't have any such right to know about her schedule even if their time got less with that.

"I am noticing you are so distressed nowadays. Any reason?" Subhadra asked to Arjun during dinner.

"No, princess. I feel it's you who's distressed," He altered her statement.

"I won't deny. It's true. Financial week is prevailing in our administrative system. Everyone is busy in presenting their respective departments in terms of efficiencies and expenses. So, I am also," Her reply made him smile with the thought that she doesn't have anything to hide from him.

"Now there's just two days left for the meeting of financial week. After that you don't need to miss our time," A glint of excitement rang in her voice. But he couldn't respond to that in the expected way.

In these days he was entangled with emotions in a way that he didn't even miss their time. He felt a bit guilty.

"Did you miss our time, Princess?" He asked to her in lost voice, to which she didn't bother much.

"Yes, I missed our time. But that couldn't be my misery. Because our time isn't my habituation which could bind me. It's a part of my happiness which can bless me even if we are distanced," With this statement she indicated about her leaving, and left from there.

His POV:

She is still frank with me like before. She shared about her schedule with me, and along with that she assured me that soon we will have our time like before. She confessed that she missed our time, a part of her happiness. After listening this my burdened heart became relax.

I framed her, her personality wrongly. As I am not her habituation no feeling, no aspect can bind her, her path towards me. She mitigated my these long days' mishap. But how can I orgive myself, my misdeed of demeaning my love?

POV Ends

"Madhav, won't you help me out? I realized mistake. Won't my side be graced with your presence now?" He  whispered sadly after getting no positive sign.

"Parth, you realized your mistake. But if I help you out immediately then how can you regret properly? By the way I want my guidance to come near you with the brightness of morning. Night isn't meant for brightness. So, I can't break the eternal rule," Kanha told to himself in mind, and a soft chuckle escaped from his mouth which was complementing the solace of night.
