Manik's pov
I was driving the car lost. I didn't even realize when I reached Nandini's place. It was late. I got down from the car and glanced at Nandini's window. Lights were off. I guess she has already slept. I don't know for how long I was standing there looking at her window hoping to get a glimpse of Nandini.

Nandini!!!

A mere name is enough to create havoc inside me. My life was not smooth but not this much eventful. But since the time Nandini has stepped in I have been doing all those which I never imagined myself doing. She has brought out a complete different side of me and I changed completely.

That night when Nandini promised to be by my side to shine for me, I felt something unusual inside. Something I never felt before. That was the starting of the beautiful feeling named LOVE. Then when she prayed for me, I felt special. Never in my whole life someone prayed for me. She was the first one.

I have so many firsts with her that I can't count and now she is my wife. Whenever I think this in mind, I feel proud. I don't know what I did to deserve an angel like her.

I didn't want to disturb her. I quietly get into the car again and was about to drive off when a faint foot step caught my attention. It was as if the owner doesn't want anyone to know about his presence. I felt it's Nandini. I rolled down the glass window.

There she was

She was walking near me. I couldn't move my gaze from her. She always looks so cute in her night suit. She stopped beside the window, I was still inside the car.

"Manik." Nandini called out my name.

Nandini's pov
Manik left angrily. I know he is hurt. He wants to be with me but I can't just sit and see him ruining his career for my sake. That's the last thing I will ever ask for.

I decided to call Manik but dropped the plan. I know he must be very angry right now and talking to him will only worsen the situation. I planned to spend the evening with amms. She is going back tomorrow.

After a long time I spent so much time with her like this. Else since the time I have been in Mumbai, life has become so eventful. All the memories from the time I stepped into Mumbai till today flashed in front of my eyes.

First day at SPACE, Shahid's incident, Fab5 ke sath panga, being Manik's spot, Dewali, Musicana, our confession then break up, new year, Soha's incident, Navya-Harshad, Fusion concert and now this. A lot of happened in just few months. I had never imagined my life can be so eventful.

I was with amms when chachi, chacha and Rishab too joined us. We had some family time. Then decided to have dinner as it was already late. I retired back to my room and took my phone. No call or text from Manik.

As expected.

He is seriously angry!!!

I wanted to call Manik but knowing him he will never pick up my call now. I thought to send him a text but no seen. He has not been online for hours. I kept my phone back and lied down but sleep was far away from my eyes.

I just sighed.....

I was thinking about Manik when I heard the halt of a car. MANIK, the only thought crossed my mind. I ran towards the window to only find his car. I thought he will call me and ask to come down but that never happened. I again went to check. He was about to go back when I decided to sneak out.

I came out of house without making any noise and went towards Manik's car praying in mind that he doesn't go away before I reach. I guess he already sensed my presence that's why he rolled down the window but didn't come out.

"Manik." I called out his name softly but no response. He is so mad at me but I have to talk to him and sort it out.

"Manik, look at me please." I again called out his name, this time his expression softened a little but not completely.

I placed my hand on his which was placed on the window. Now he turned towards me.

Manik turned towards Nandini with hurt in his eyes, pain too. Nandini's eyes held the same. Nandini couldn't bear it anymore.

"Manik, please don't be like this."

"Why? You wanted this and I'm just following you." Manik replied sarcastically.

Nandini closed her eyes for a moment. "I'm doing this for your good only. You can't just let this opportunity go, Manik. You deserve this and I can't be the reason for your lose."

Manik came out of his car and faced Nandini. "I know that it's a big opportunity but it's not bigger than you. Why don't you understand this simple thing?" Manik was frustrated.

Nandini held Manik's hands in her grip. "I know this, Manik, and I'm not denying it. But think about Fab4 too. They don't deserve this."

"They too agreed for this."

"I know they care for me that's why they are ready to sacrifice such a big opportunity. Trust me want to be like before as much as you want me to be. I also know you want to help me. But let me do this alone, Manik. I want to be your strong Nandini once again and for that I've to overcome everything." Nandini pleaded.

Manik too softened hearing her but he is still not ready to leave her all alone by herself. "Then why do you want me to go away from you?"

"It's not like that. Please. I don't want you to go away from me, I just don't want you to lose the opportunity."

Manik sighed. "I never denied you, Nandini. You know that. But this time you didn't even leave any option for me."

Before Nandini could say anything, he drove off from there.

Next morning
Nandini got up earlier than her usual time. She couldn't sleep well previous night. Manik's anger, hurt and amms's departure everything is taking a heavy toll on her. She took a deep breath and got up from her bed. She looked at the clock, she knew amms is up till now. She always wakes up by 4. She freshened up and went to her room.

Nandini knocked on amms room's door.

"Nandu, kanna come inside."

Nandini went in and sat beside her. "You've packed everything?"

Amms nodded.

Nandini was quiet looking down fidgeting with her fingers. Amms held her hand.

"Nandu, I know whatever happened in last few days was wrong. But we can't change the past. It also doesn't stop life."

Nandini bobbed her head.

"I know my Nandu is strong. I know you aren't over that incident yet. But I also know that you'll forget everything soon and move on."

Nandini again nodded.

"One more thing, Manik is a nice boy. I really like him." Amms finished and Nandini's eyes went wide.

"Amms... wo... woh...." Nandini fumbled with words. She was not sure what to say.

Amms caressed her hair. "Kanna, I'm your amms. I know Manik isn't just your friend."

Nandini didn't find anything to say before that only chacha, chachi and Rishab came there. They talked for sometime before they finally leave for airport.

Murthy's came back home. Nandini said she is tired so she left for her room. She was checking her phone time to time but no sign of Manik. He didn't even call him for once. She was calling him neither he was picking her call or replying her texts.

Nandini was walking to and fro thinking what to do. Now she can't go to Manik's place keeping in mind that Manik's dad is now here and she didn't even meet him formally. She thought of calling Cabir may be they are together. Nandini dialed Cabir's number. He picked up the call after a few ring.

"Hello, Cabir."

"Hello, how are you, Nandini? Today you called me instead of Manik? What's the matter?" Cabir was fully in a mood to tease Nandini.

"Cabir, is Manik with you?" Nandini asked. Cabir could sense the restlessness in her voice. So, he dropped the pllan of teasing her.

"Yes. We've come to sign the contract. Why? Is everything okay?" He asked being concerned as Nandini has always been like a sister to him. He feels a connection with her which is not just friendship.

"Actually I was trying to call Manik for so long but he's not picking up my calls. So, I thought of calling you." Nandini said making Cabir smirk.

"Ooh! that means it's your call which is coming to him and he is ignoring. Should I give him the phone?"

"I know he won't talk to me now. Can you do one thing?" Nandini denied knowing Manik very well.

"What?" Cabir asked.

"Today come to my place for lunch. Then I'll talk to him." She invited them knowing it's the only way she can talk to Manik.

"Okay. Nandini, I need to go now." Cabir agreed.

"Hmm. Bye."

"Bye." Cabir cut the call as the manager was here.

Nandini went to her chachi to tell her about the lunch plan in which she agreed happily. She again came back to her room. She lied down when amms's word started ringing in her ears.

Amms is well aware about them and she likes Manik.

Now she is a little relieved. She was scared thinking about amms's reaction when she will get to know about Manik. But now she is a bit tension free. Then she remembered about Manik and her mood again fell.

Nandini was helping chachi in kitchen to prepare lunch for Fab5. Nandini remembered about their marriage and it crossed her mind that it's supposed to be her 'paheli rasooi' but she didn't get any chance to cook. She thought of something.

"Chachi, should I bake a cheese cake for dessert?"

"Of course. I was thinking what we can make for dessert. Let me finish this soon. Then you start."

Nandini nodded with a smile and went to bake the cake.

At Manik's place
Last night Manik had drink like anything. The thought of Nandini asked him to go away was not letting him be in peace. In his heart, he knew Nandini is doing this for their betterment only but his mind isn't easy to accept the fact. He didn't realize when he fell asleep while drinking.

In the morning, he woke up with the continuous ringing of his phone. At first, he decided to ignore but it was not ready to stop. He tried to open his eyes but his head was heavy and paining like hell. He growned and got up with a great difficulty. Manik searched for his phone and found Fab4 is calling him. He received the call. It was Dhruv.

"What happened? Why are you all calling again and again that too early in the morning?"

"Buddy, it's not early it's already 10.30 and we've to meet O2's manager at 11."

Then Manik remembered. "Yeah, I know. I'll see you guys directly at office."

Mukti took the phone from Dhruv. "Manik, please don't be late today."

"I won't. Now please keep the phone, I need to get ready."

"Okay."

Manik cut the call and asked one of the butlers to make black coffee for him. He asked for Shreekant too and got to know he has left for office. He was waiting for Manik but he was sleeping so he didn't disturb him and left.

Manik took a cold shower and got ready as fast as he could.

Then left for O2's office. Thankfully he was 3 minutes earlier and Fab4 were waiting for him in parking. Manik parked his car and went near them.

"Why are you guys standing here?"

"We were waiting for you, Manik." Alya replied.

Mukti sighed in relief. "Thank God you are on time."

Cabir looked at the time. "No, actually he's 3 minutes early today. Wow bro! I'm proud of you."

Manik rolled his eyes, he was about to yell at Cabir for joking but Dhruv interrupted. "Guys, you can continue later. Now let's go inside."

Everyone nodded and they went in.

Fab5 entered in manager's office and Manik's phone started buzzing. He fished out his phone from his pocket. It's Nandini. He frowned but didn't pick up the call. He kept it back in his pocket.

"Who's calling?"

"No one. Lets go." Manik mumbled sternly.

Cabir nodded and they settled in front of the manager. They were talking when his phone started ringing again. It was Nandini only. Now Manik put his phone on silent mode and started the discussion again.

Few minutes later Cabir's phone started ringing. He excused himself and went to receive the call and talked to Nandini.

Fab5 signed the contract with O2 and finalized everything.

"Congratulations. I hope this deal will be a great success."

"We too hope the same." Dhruv replied politely.

"Then let's meet next saturday at the airport where we'll start the journey."

Fab5 nodded and after bidding bye, they came out of the office. They were standing in the parking lot when Dhruv stated. "Buddy, let's go to Nandini's place now."

Manik frowned. "Why? Why to her home now?"

Mukti looked at him with a confused face. "Why? Nandini didn't tell you that Fab5 is invited for lunch at her place?"

Cabir said in a teasing tone. "Yeah. Today Nandini called us instead of you. I'm surprised!"

"Cabirrrr!!!" Manik gritted his teeth. Cabir shrugged his shoulder and others smiled.

Alya stopped them from arguing further. "Guys, stop it and let's go. They must be waiting for us."

They agreed and left for Nandini's place.
