Fair warning, i may mess up on how Cilan talks , if anyone can help me please do in the comments.

Our heroes finally reached Striaton City , but Y/n dragged Ash to train some more , much to Ash's protest.

Two hours later

After two hours of training Y/n and the others arrived at the gym, which was a mix of a gym and a cafe. 

At first they were confused,but they decided to go with it.  All but an impatient Ash, but before he can blow a fuse, Y/n stepped on his foot to stop him before giving him a look that says "calm down".

He huffed but listened, after ordering and finishing their meal. Y/n politely asked for the gym battle, to their surprise the three waiters were the gym leaders.

The back wall opened up, revealing the battlefield.  They introduced themselves as Cilan, Chili and Cress. They then sent out three monkey like Pokemon, and asked them to choose their opponent.

Ash pulled out his Pokedex to scan them.

 "Pansear the high temp Pokemon. Pansear lives in caves near volcanoes. The temperature on the tuft on its head can reach 600 degrees when it's angry."

"Panpour the spray Pokemon. Panpour lived in forests long ago, but developed a body that makes it easy to live near water. It can store water in the tufts on its head."

"Pansage the grass monkey Pokemon. Pansage offers leaves on its head to Pokemon that have low energy. The leaves relieve stress."

Y/n went first and he choose Cress as his opponent.

"Panpour let's go"

"Lucario battle time!"

"Thunder punch!"

"Dodge and use Mud sport!"

The spray Pokemon managed to dodge the electricity filled punch before raising  its hands in the air and both of them start to glow red-orange. It then slams its hands into the ground, releases a wave of mud from it at the opponent. As the wave travels, it leaves behind a trail of slippery mud.

Lucario nearly lost his balance, but managed to regain his footing. 

"Aura sphere!"

Lucario formed a sphere of aura before firing it at Panpour, the attack hit it's mark, but the spray Pokemon was just able to hang on.

Hang in there Panpour, water gun!"

"Dodge and used extreme speed!"

"Lucario quickly dodged the blast of water before charging at Panpour, the attack hit it's mark which sent Panpour flying back.

When it landed, Panpour was down and out.

After recalling the spray Pokemon, Cress met with Y/n at the center of the battlefield. They shook hands, Cress then gave Y/n the Trio badge.

Next was Ash, and he picked Cilan.

 "Pansage, come on out!"

"Tepig i choose you!"

"Now Pansage use bullet seed!"

"Tepig ember!"

The two attacks clashed, kicking up a dust cloud. 

"Flame charge!"

Tepig rushed at Pansage covered in flames, knocking back the grass monkey Pokemon and increasing his speed.

"Flame charge? Tepig never had that move before." Iris asked in confusion.

"It's one of the moves that he learn at training." Y/n explained. "It's not just Tepig, Ash's other Pokemon has some new moves as well."

"I see..." Iris said.

"Use bite!"

"Dodge and use flame charge again!"

The grass monkey Pokemon was once again sent back, it slowly got back up but winched when i got a burn.

"Uh no Pansage!" Cilan cried out in worry.

"Now use tackle !"

Tepig charged at Pansage with his increased speed, Pansage tried to move to dodge but it's burn stopped it from moving.

The attack hit it's mark, knocking out  Pansage.

After the two recalled their Pokemon,  Ash was also given the Trio badge as the proof of his victory.

Our heroes went to the Pokemon center to heal, Iris had left after the gym battle. But Y/n had a feeling that they'll be seeing her again soon.

Y/n and Ash were asked by Cilan about their battle style, Iris came rushing in with her Axew glowing pink. A female professor quickly came in with a Munna by her side, the dream eater Pokemon ate the mist around Axew waking it. It then showed Axew's dream of evolution/

"Munna, the Dream Eater Poemon. Munna can eat the dreams of people and Pokemon alike,  and then project those dreams by emitting dream mist from its body. "

She introduced herself as Professor Fennal, she explained a Murshana has been making this dream mist. Musharna was the subject of research in the Dreamyard , due to the possibility of using its as a cleaner energy source. However, due to the evil thoughts and desires of people on the project, Musharna's Dream Mist was corrupted, which caused an energy overload and destroyed the whole facility in a powerful explosion. And now something has reawakened it. 

"Musharna, the Drowsing Pokémon and the evolved form of Munna . The mist from its forehead takes the form of things present in the dreams it has eaten."

They went to the Dreamyard to search for Murshana, only to find team morons had captured it. They revealed they had been searching for the dream energy and had awakened the Drowsing Pokemon.

Before anyone could react, a pink ball of energy struck and destroyed the machine holding Murshana, a Gardevoir appeared in front of them.

" Gardevoir, the Embrace Pokemon.  If Gardevoir's  trainer needs protecting, Gardevoir creates a small by using all of its psychic power. " Ash's Pokedex beeped.

"Now, that's not the way to treat that poor Pokemon." A voice said from a few feet away. 

They all turned to see a green haired women in her early twenties,  Her outfit consists of a layered, white dress, along with numerous gold accessories in the form of a necklace, laurel crown, fibula, arm bands, arm brace, armored sleeve, and ornaments secured by belts. She has a Gallade and a Aegislash by her side.

While most of them was confused who she was, Y/n however knows her quite well.

"M.. Master Palutena!?" The young guardian cried in shock.

"Master!?" Asked the others in surprise .

"Yeah, she's my teacher in guardian school." Y/n explained. " She's one of the greatest aura guardians out there, imagine my surprise when she took me as her apprentice."

Palutena's Gallade took Jessie's Woobat with a Psycho cut, which surprised all but Y/n at the speed, they blinked and it was over.

After they fled, Murshana was reunited with Fennal and Munna. After parting ways with her Y/n and the others was ready to leave for Nacrene city, Cilan and Palutena decided to join our heroes, the former wanting to chase his dreams of a Pokemon connoisseur, while the latter wants to join her student.

Iris soon rejoined them after disappearing for a while, Palutena was discussing Y/n's training with him before Iris appeared.  

Now with two more traveling companions, what kind of adventures will have next? The journey continues.

Done and done, next time our heroes will encounter a wild female Snivy which Ash's is determined to catch and Y/n's second trail will begin. What Pokemon you want Y/n and the others to catch?
