While traveling through the vast Pinwheel Forest between Nacrene City and Castelia City, Y/n and friends intend to stay on the path so that they won't get lost. But when they come across a Sewaddle with impressive battling skills, Ash runs off into the woods to go after it, with the rest of the gang in pursuit.

They soon lose track of Sewaddle, and they get lost in the process! Iris suggests climbing a tree to get a better view of the land, and up on a high branch, they discover Burgh, the Castelia City Gym Leader, who's also a renowned artist. He's been living among the forest Pokemon, trying to find inspiration in nature and get out of his creative slump

The Sewaddle reappears , Burgh tries to introduce Ash to it, which proves more difficult than the Gym Leader expected. Y/n shook his head at that, the sewing Pokemon reminding him of Ash's own stubbornness.

Y/n's Xtransceiver then rang, picking it up, he saw another master guardian like his teacher, Azura.

"Hello miss Azura."

"Hello Y/n, is Palutena with you?"

"I am Azura, is something the matter?"

"I require help at the Sinnoh region, the remains of team galactic are trying to capture the lake guardians to once again create the red chain to summon Dialga and Palkia. It seems their looking for their boss Cyrus."

"Understood, we'll be there as soon as we can."

Using her Gardevoir, they teleported to Lake Verity, there, they saw many defeated galactic grunt and a what seem to be a commander facing a odd looking Goodra.  She was soon knocked to a tree before falling unconscious.

The Goodra was huge and it's eyes was red, and it was different then the ones Y/n knows.

"A Hisuian Goodra.." Y/n heard Palutena mutter.

Y/n pulled out his Pokedex to scan it.

"Goodra, Hisuian form. The shell bunker Pokemon. A Dragon and Steel type. Able to freely control the hardness of its metallic shell. It loathes solitude and is extremely clingy—it will fume and run riot if those dearest to it ever leave its side."

"Hisuian form?"

"Their from the Hisui region, also known as ancient Sinnoh." Palutena explained. "This is the form Goomy evolves into back in Hisui, or in locations that's left of it."

"I take it the cavern the guardian trio sleeps in counts?"

"Most likely, they slumbered in them since the regions creation. And this one is an alpha Pokemon, signified by it's larger then normal size and red eyes."

"Y/n, allow me to handle this, it's best we send it to the guardian school so it can adapt to modern times."

Y/n nodded and stepped back, using quickly weakened it  with her Gallade before pulling a unique looking Pokeball, it was mostly light blue with the strap being white. This was a Guardian ball, a Pokeball only a master guardian uses, it  can capture a Pokemon even if they belong to another trainer. It then automatically transfers itself to the guardian school.

Master guardians use it if they encounter a abusive trainer or a wild Pokemon that's greatly hurt or is abandoned far from it's natural habitat to be healed or in this case, so it can be relocated to a new location it can call home.

She then threw it at the Goodra.

1...2...3 and ping. And with that, Goodra was caught.

The guardian ball then teleported to the guardian school, Palutena then called them to inform them of  the situation. Y/n meanwhile was tying up the grunts and commander.

Soon Palutena received a call from Azura who informed her that she had defeated the grunts and commander at Lake Valor, she also caught a Pokemon from Hisui called Overqwil, the evolved form of a HIsuian Qwilfish.

 She also received a call from another master guardian who defeated team galactic at Lake Acuity and captured a Hisuian Zoroark.  All three master guardians then sent the remains of team Galactic to the international police. The teacher and student duo then returned to Unova, there, they found Ash as bonded with the Sewaddle and had captured it, though since it was his seventh Pokemon, the Pokeball has sealed itself until Ash either deposits it or another Pokemon in the party.

They arrive at a Pokemon Center at sunset, and Ash leaves one of his Pokemon with Professor Juniper so he can have his newly-caught Sewaddle on his team. Ash lets Sewaddle out, and the two successfully touch heads, having bonded. Burgh exclaims happiness, because Ash and Sewaddle touching heads has given him an idea for his next project. He then bids the group farewell, but not before telling Y/n and Ash that he'll await his challenge at Castelia Gym.

But before they had dinner, nurse Joy handed Y/n a map to his next trail, Y/n followed it with the others close behind.

Y/n reached the trail sight which was a large field, most of it was a hole with a few large walls at some of the corners. And the winds coming to their way was strong enough to push a human back.

Y/n could see the trick of the trail, the winds will blow every minute or so, he had to reach a corner to shields himself from the winds, mistiming it will result him being blown back to a previous corner or back to the start.

Wishing Y/n luck, the others watched from the path from the side, it had a window for them to watch without following Y/n.  

A few minutes later

It took a few minutes for Y/n to get it right, once he reached the other side, he and the other side to see a large open area, at the other side was a pedestal with the flying type Z crystal, the  Flyinium Z on it.

Y/n slowly walked to the pedestal, on guard as he knew the totem Pokemon won't let him have it without a fight.

Y/n sensed a aura approaching and jumped back as something landed before him kicking up a cloud of dust, when it died down, it was a totem Gliscor.

Y/n sent out Lucario as the totem flared it's aura.

Gliscor slammed it's tail on the ground for a earthquake.

"Ice punch!"

Lucario's paws was surrounded with a light blue aura as he charged at the Fang Scorpion Pokemon, the totem's mouth becomes covered in flames as it charged at Lucario.

When the two was about to clash, Lucario moved out of the last second causing Gliscor to stumble a bit, before it could react, Lucario struck it's back, knocking it to the ground. The fang Scorpion barely manage to get up.

"Once more!"

Lucario quickly struck the totem before it could recover, knocking it into the air, when it landed, it revealed Gliscor was down and out.

Y/n let out a sigh of relive as his friends cheered. The Fang Scorpion soon woke up and gave him a cry of congratulations before leaving. Y/n then went to the pedestal to retrieve Flyinium Z and attach it to his Z powered ring.

Soon, our heroes returned to the Pokemon center for dinner, as they ate, Y/n could only wonder what the future will hold as the journey continues.
