Our heroes is on his way to Nacrene City, where Y/n and Ash's next Gym Battle awaits. Before Asj gets there, he decides to stop by the Pokémon Battle Club in Luxuria Town for a warm-up battle. He's surprised to find his Unova region rival, Trip, is there, too! Ash challenges Trip to a battle, and although he's reluctant at first, Trip eventually agrees to a five-on-five battle.

While they battled, Y/n was greeted by Blanc. She wanted a battle as last time they tried, they were interrupted by team moron.

After Ash unfortunately lost, Y/n and Blanc took his and Trip's place on the battlefield. Both trainers choose a three-on -three battle, they then sent out their first Pokemon.

"Lucario battle time!"

"Vanilluxe go!"

Ash scanned Blanc's Pokemon with his Pokedex, curious of that it is.

"Vanilluxe, the Snowstorm Pokemon, and the evolved form of Vanillish. Vanilluxe produces snow clouds by swallowing great quantities of water. It emits a blizzard when both heads are angered." His Pokedex beeped.

"Hail!"

"Force palm!"

Vanilluxe dodged the force palm before letting out a cry, causing clouds to form and began hailing.

"Blizzard!"

"Protect! Then metal claw!"

 Vanilluxe unleashed a blizzard which Lucario blocked with a barrier, the spikes on the back Lucario's paws glowed before he quickly struck Vanilluxe with it. The Snowstorm Pokemon backed away, the attack having dealt a good amount of damage. Lucario winced as he was buffeted by the hail while Vanilluxe glowed green slightly.

"I see, Blanc's Vanilluxe must have ice body." Cilan realized. 

"Ice body?" Ash asked curiously while Iris was shivering next to him.

"Ice body is a ability that heals it's user slightly while it's hailing." Cilan explained. " This allows Blanc to gain a slightly higher advantage then normal for none ice type Pokemon."

"Icy wind!"

"Dodge, then aura sphere!"

After dodging the wind with light blue sparkles inside, Lucario lunched a aura sphere at the Snowstorm Pokemon which struck it head on. It then crashed to the ground knocked out.

"Vanilluxe is unable to battle, Lucario wins."

"Not bad Y/n, but let's see you handle this!" Blanc said before sending out her Beartic.

"Beartic, the Freezing Pokemon. Beartic's frozen breath can create fangs and claws made of ice. It lives in frigid northern areas." Ash's Pokedex beeped.

"Lucario tag out for now!" Y/n told the aura Pokemon which he nodded before jumping to his trainers side. " Kommo-o battle time!" Y/n send out the scaly Pokemon.

"Why did Y/n send out Kommo-o? Isn't it a dragon type?" Iris asked.

"True, but Kommo-o is also a fighting type,  which is super effective against ice types and Y/n isn't the type to make a rookie mistake like that." Bea explained.

"Iron tail!"

"Sheer cold!"

"Sheer cold?! Crud! Watch out!" Y/n cried in alarm.

Unfortunately for Y/n and Kommo-o, Beartic tanked the iron tail and landed the sheer cold, knocking the scaly Pokemon out.

"Kommo-o is unable to battle, Beartic wins."

"You did great Kommo-o, take a good rest." Y/n recalled the scaly Pokemon. " Gyarados battle time!"

"Rock tomb!"

"Fire blast!"

After dodging the stones thrown at him, Gyarados  fired a kanji shaped blast at he freezing Pokemon which struck it's mark and knocked it out.

"Beartic is unable to battle, Gyardos wins"

After recalling her Pokemon, Blanc sent out her ace Pokemon. Froslass. 

"Rain dance"

"Shadow ball!"

Gyarados roared , causing it to rain. Froslass fired a black and purple ball of shadows at Gyarados which struck it's mark.

"Gyarados return for now!" Y/n recalled the shiny much to the surprise of many. Lucario jumped to the battlefield, already knowing he'll be send out.

Blanc knew why Lucario was sent out as she smirked." Plan on finishing the battle with our aces are you?"

"You know it, Lucario forsight!"

Lucario gained the ability to hit Ghost-types with Normal- and Fighting-type moves. "Brick break!"

"Dodge and use thunderbolt!"

After dodging the brick break, Froslass fired a thunderbolt at the aura Pokemon who quickly dodged by backfliping several times.

"Hyper beam!" Both called out.

Both Pokemon charged up and fired an orange beam of energy, both attacks pasted each other and struck their marks causing an explosion. When it died down, both Pokemon were down and out.

"Both Lucario and Froslass is unable to battle, and since Y/n has one more Pokemon left to battle he is the winner!"

After recalling their Pokemon, both trainers met up at the center of the battlefield to shake hands for a good battle.

After they went to the Pokemon center to heal their Pokemon and for lunch, while eating, Palutena received a call from someone, after the call she asked Y/n to follow her to Oblivia region. Y/n agreed, hoping to see his brother B/n since he was stationed there.

With Palutena's Gardevoir, they appeared in the regions Faldera Island. There they found B/n and his two partners Ben and Summer, B/n then explained the situation. The legendary birds of Obliva has been acting strangely, they been flying wildly though the skies, scaring the other flying type Pokemon into hiding. They managed to drive them out of the skies and back to their mountain homes, but requested the guardians help to find out the reason for their unusual behavior.

The guardians agreed, after climbing to the peak of Faldera volcano, why found the flame Pokemon at it's nest. The rangers then saw the problem, A piece of the golden armor, according to the rangers it was a piece of a armor that controlled a powerful weapon called the sky fortress and the legendary birds. They guessed it was the reason for the Legendary birds odd behaviour.

After the rangers captured the flame Pokemon to calm it down, they then took the armor piece with them to store or destroy it. B/n then asked Y/n to catch it, knowing it's best captured so something like the incident with the societea won't happen again.

After Palutena split with them to met up with the area ranger Rand, the four when to Mt sorbet to check on Articuno, and sure enough a golden armor piece was there, after the rangers captured it they took the armor piece and Y/n caught the freeze Pokemon with B/n request.

On the way to Mt Layuda, Y/n had to hold on to Latias as she flew though the thunder clouds that surrounded the mountain, according to the rangers the thunder could was the reason they needed to befriend the eon duo in the first place. 

After reaching the top, sure enough a armor piece was there, after capturing and calming Zapdos down, Y/n caught the electric Pokemon after the rangers took the armor piece.

They then searched for the fourth and final armor piece, after a call from a old enemy Red eyes who said to met him at the bottom of Mt Sorbet. They found him with the final piece, but he was asking the rangers for a large amount of money for it, he then unleashed his Blaziken on them, after capturing it, Red eyes said that the "exchange" was a joke as he only want one last heated battle with them.  

After meeting up with Palutena again, Y/n met Rand and his family along with Professor Hastings. They had been discussing what to do with the golden armor, and have decided to send the armor to the ranger union for research.

Y/n sent both sets of legendary Pokemon to his parents, where they'll be allowed to roam freely.

Y/n and Palutena decided to stay in Obliva for a few hours before returning to Unova,  as Y/n was chatting with B/n, he could only wonder what the future will hold as the journey continues.
