Hey guys, about the trail type choice last chapter, i forgot Y/n already has the Icium Z. My bad, now let's get to the chapter.

Our heroes reached Vermilion city, but first they head to the Pokemon center to rest from their long journey.

When they reached there, they found many Pokemon severely injured, which included a Pidgey of some reason as the Vermilion gym is a electric type gym . 

They heard from Nurse Joy that the gym leader, Lt surge is always ruthless to his challengers and he won't hold back no matter how many times she tells him to. 

Y/n took Ash for some training despite the latter wanting to challenge the gym right away, but Y/n told him that he needs to train unless he want's his Pokemon to get hurt.

Half and hour later

Our heroes are now at the gym, they met Lt surge and Y/n could honestly say his annoyed with him, calling them babies is bound to make anyone angry, but Y/n who was first stayed calm got a Pokeball ready.

"Raichu crush him" Surge called out the evolved mouse Pokemon and his ace. 

"Raichu the mouse Pokemon. And the evolved form of Pikachu. A electric type. Raichu's tail functions as a ground and releases electricity into the surface,which keeps it from shocking itself." Y/n's Pokedex beeped. 

Y/n raised a eyebrow at the sight of the mouse Pokemon, so this is what a kantonian Raichu looked like?

"Regigigas battle time!" Y/n called out the colossal Pokemon, who appeared causing a short but large quake.

"Woah! Look at the size of it!" Ash cried out shocked. The others were also taken back by Regigigas's size. 

While taken back by the colossal Pokemon's size, Surge shook it off and called out. "Mega punch!"

"Block it!" Y/n called out

Regigias easily block the attack, before Surge called out a thunderbolt. Regigigas took the hit, but was unfazed by the attack.

"Mega kick!" 

"Block it!"

Once again the attack was blocked. 

"Body slam!" 

Once again blocked, everyone was confused on why his's always on defense.

Suddenly Regigigas roared, causing Y/n to smirk as it was time. 

"Ice Punch!" Y/n commanded.

 Before Raichu could react, Regigigas swung a ice covered fist at Raichu. Said Pokemon wasn't able to react in time before it was sent flying back at Surge.

"What happened?" Surge asked in confusion, the others were just as confused.

Smirking, Y/n decided to explain. It's Regigigas's ability slow start, when it battles it's attack and speed is cut in half for a while." Y/n explained. "Once sometime passes, Regigigas's full power is unleashed "

"Earthquake!" Y/n called out.

Regigigas stomped the ground causing it to shake violently, Raichu wasn't able to get away in time and was hit, kicking up a dust cloud.  

When it died down, Raichu was down and out.

Y/n recalled Regigigas as his friends cheered, Surge congratulated Y/n before giving him the thunder badge.

Now it was Ash's turn, Surge sent out a Magneton, while Ash sent out Pikachu.

"Magneton the magnet Pokemon.  And the evolved form of Magnemite. Its anti-gravitational powers allow it to float,and it can emit powerful magnetic and electric fields." Ash's Pokedex beeped.

"Pikachu quick attack!" Ash called out.

"Use discharge!" Surge called out.

Magneton fried a large amount  of electricity all around it, Pikachu managed to dodge with his speed. 

"Use dig!" 

Pikachu quickly dug underground, causing magnet Pokemon to look around in confusion. Pikachu then rammed it hard from bellow. 

Not letting up, Ash called out a unexpected combo. 

"Use quick attack to volt tackle!" Ash called out , surprising everyone.

Pikachu first charged in with a quick attack, before a electric aura surrounded the mouse Pokemon who then rammed the magnet Pokemon with full force.

When the dust died down, it reveal Pikachu tired but standing, but Magneton was clearly down and out.

Surge gave Ash the thunder badge after recalling Magneton, he also apologized for calling them babies.

A few minutes later

Y/n and Ash are resting from their gym battle, but little did the former know that his battles has only just begun.

Nurse joy came by and gave Y/n a letter,  she said she was told to give it to him after his gym battle.

Y/n opened the letter to find out it has a map with it, leading to Y/n's next trail sight.

Y/n sighed, before leaving for the trail with his friends following him. They found the trail sight near the docks. The trail sight like a construction sight, Y/n has to take moving platforms to get to the top.

Think Byron's gym from Sinnoh

Before Y/n when to the trail, Iseult decided to bring up something Y/n would rather not remember. 

"This reminds me of our first obstacle course from training, try not to repeat history okay?" The female guardian teased.

The others were confused, but Y/n knew what she was saying all to well as he  flinched at the memory.

"We agreed to never speak of that." The male guardian growled out.

" One of the best thing about having fingers?" Iseult asked teasingly. " I can cross them." she said while holding up her crossed fingers.

Y/n merely growled before leaving to search for a platform. 

While climbing , Y/n encountered a Steelix and a Magneton, which Lucario took out without problem. 

He managed to get to the top, which is a roof with the Z crystal on the other side.

Y/n sensed the totem approaching and fast, the totem landed between him and the crystal, it was a totem Metagross.

Lucario, (who was still outside of his Pokeball) jumped to meet the totem, Lucario then charged in with a force palm.

Metagross sent Lucario back with psychic, but the aura Pokemon bounced back and struck it with focus punch. 

Metagross fried a hyper beam, Lucario  wan't able to dodge it and took the hit. Lucario was still standing, but not for long. 

"Uses earthquake, full power!!" Y/n called out, hoping to end this.

Using the rest of his strength, Lucario let out a powerful earthquake that nearly collapsed the tower their on. But the move was strong enough to take Metagross down.

Y/n and Lucario sighed in relief, the totem woke up a few seconds later before levitating the steel type Z crystal, the Steelium Z. 

Y/n then took the platform that lead him down to the ground, there he found out that his friend saw the trail through a screen, apparently his trail was being recorded for his friends to see.

" Well done Y/n, looks like history didn't repeat itself huh?" Iseult teased him again.

" For crying out loud... You're never gonna let me live that down are you?" 

"Nope!"

The two guardian started to bicker as they made their way to the Pokemon center, the others followed hoping that Iseult will tell them what she means.
