Y/n and Ash are in viridian forest with misty who say's she'll follow Ash till he repays her for her bike.

Y/n and misty ( the latter hiding behind a tree) watched as Ash prepares catch a  caterpie . Ash catches it one throw and is now jumping with joy like a loon.

Misty on the other hand was not happy with Ash's catch, when asked she said that she has a fear of bug type Pokemon. This caused Ash to defend his new Pokemon which caused the two to argue.

Suddenly Y/n's master ball opened and letting out Mew . Y/n and Vulpix (who was out of her Pokeball) panicked at the fact that Mew is out in the open, but before he could return her Ash and Misty saw her and was shocked that their friend has a legendary Pokemon.

 Before the two could ask, he held his hand up. He then explained how did he catch Mew.  

Wow Y/n, your so lucky to catch her. Ash said in awe.

Yeah many spend there lives trying to catch her, but you manged to do so on your first day. Misty said amazed by Y/n's story.

Thanks you two, but i want  Mew to be a secret between us, last thing i want to happen is to paint a target on my back from idiots like team rocket. Y/n said.

Ash and Misty nodded, knowing if word got out, Y/n will have to deal with  people wanting to steal or force him to trade with them.

Y/n saw some bushes  shake as a Pokemon came out of it. 

A male Nidoran appeared and looked at Y/n and called out a challenge.

A Nidoran huh? Well challenge accepted. Y/n said as Vulpix jumped infront of her trainer.

Nidoran than lowered his horn and charged for a horn attack. 

Vulpix dodge and use ice shard. Y/n yelled out.

Vulpix jumped out of the way and fired a ball of ice that hit Nidoran hard, causing Nidoran to cry out in pain.

Nidoran got up with a determined look on his face as he fired poison sting at Vulpix. Vulpix countered with ice beam , overpowering the poison sting and hitting Nidoran head on, freezing it. 

Taking the chance Y/n threw a moon ball at Nidoran which than shook once, twice, thrice and dinged a successful capture.

Y/n picked up the moon ball with a smile as Vulpix ran to her trainer, tails waging as shes happy for a new friend.

Y/n than let out Nidoran to heal him with a ice heal and some potions. Welcome to the team Nidoran. Y/n said with a smile vulpix let out a greeting as well.  Nidoran let a happy cry as well, feeling welcomed by his new trainer.

Y/n and the others continued on after Y/n had returned his Pokemon other than Vulpix, after it was late they decided to make camp.

Y/n was woken up the next morning  by a scream, it turns out Ash's caterpie has crawled into Misty's sleeping bag scaring her and causing  her to scream. Y/n sighed, Misty need to keep her fear under control or things will get messy if she ever faces a bug type user.

Later that day, a pidgeotto was seen flying about, a rare encounter in the forest. Ash wanted to catch it and thanks to Y/n's lessons, Ash used Pikachu to weaken and catch it.

Team rocket later attacked who then was sent packing by Ash's caterpie who later evolved into Metapod.

While the trio was resting from the attack from team morons, they felt the ground shake lightly. 

Y/n recognized them as footsteps ,and whatever was making them they're getting closer, whatever it was showed itself for behind some trees.

It was a Drapion and it was huge!!! 

Ash and Misty both screamed in fear, having never seen the Pokemon before, but Y/n has as his older sister has one.

The Drapion faced Y/n and let out a roar, It was than enveloped in an aura surprising Y/n.

What in the ... a totem Pokemon !!?? What's  it doing all the way here in kanto? Y/n asked confused.

Ash and Misty gasped remembering what Y/n said about totem Pokemon.

Before anyone asks Y/n told them about alola and the totem Pokemon last night.   

Shaking off the surprise of  the totem Y/n got ready to face it.

Vulpix  use ice shard. Y/n yelled out his command. Vulpix fired a ball of ice at Drapion who just crushed  it with it's claws. Drapion that let out a roar which called a ally Pokemon which is a Skorupi , Drapion's pre evolved  form.

Y/n decided to take down the skorupi first , Vulpix ice beam on skorupi then use iron tail . Y/n commanded. Vulpix fired three blue colored lighting bolts that hit and froze skorupi before hitting it with her glowing tails knocking it out.

Vulpix than jumped back at her trainer, alright Vulpix ready? Y/n asked as he held up his Z powered ring.

Vulpix gave a cry of  determination as she got ready.

Y/n than moved at a pattern with Vulpix moving in union with him, Y/n than transferred his energy to Vulpix, who than creates a platform of ice that rises from beneath her feet. Vulpix then fires a large blue and white beam of cold energy from her mouth, covering Drapion and the battlefield in ice. The ice around Drapion grows outward before bursting apart.

Ash and Misty are both speechless, Y/n told them about Z moves last night  but they never thought they see anything like this. 

 When the ice cleared the Drapion was knocked out. Phew that was close. Y/n said while wiping his forehead the z move clearly  took a lot out of him. 

Vul... Vulpix said little tired as well.

Clapping was heard as two people came in to view, people Y/n knew all to well.

 MOM ,DAD!? Y/n yelled shocked to them. VUL!? Vulpix cried shocked as well.

Congratulations Y/n we knew you could pass. F/n said with a proud smile. M/n walked up to Y/n and hugged him clearly proud. Y/n just hugged back but confused as heck.

Pass? Pass what? Y/n asked.

Our trail for you. F/n said. With permission from the kahunas themselves from time to time in your journey we can make a trail for you. F/n continued.

Your reward for passing them is a Z crystal . M/n said as the totem Drapion got up.

Drapion walks to Y/n and presented him with a Poisonium Z. Wow thanks Drapion. Y/n thanked the totem.

Drapion gave a short but happy cry before F/n returned him. F/n then looked at Ash and Misty whom were silent.

So you two are Ash and Misty Y/n told us about you two. F/n said

After Ash and misty introduced themselves, Y/n's parents had to go back to alola, after they left Y/n and the others decided to rest for a bit.

Y/n looked at his new Poisonium Z for a bit. Which he already attached to his ring .

What's wrong Y/n? Ash asked.

Yeah you passed your trail , shouldn't you we happy about it? Misty asked. 

Nothing's wrong you two, I'm just surprised at what happened that's all , to think i had to face a trail this early in my journey. Y/n explained. But whatever trail that comes my way i'll pass them with my Pokemon at my side. Y/n said with a smile.

His Pokemon all cried out in agreement. Ash and Misty smiled as well saying they support him all the way.

Well this chapter took me awhile to finish. So Ash and Y/n has caught some new Pokemon. And Y/n has to pass some trails to get new Z crystals ,and along with gathering badges with Ash it won't be easy. Lucky for Y/n his friend will be by his side.  So next time they meet up with a samurai that challenges Ash and some beedrill trouble.
