After reaching Petalburg city,Y/n and Ash went to the Pokemon center to register for the Hoenn league , May had oddly panicked when the Petalburg city gym leader was mentioned before she she separated with them, it she made it sound like she knew him.

When the duo reached the gym, it seemed empty at first, when Ash call for someone, a kid with glasses that looks about seven years old appears. He recognized Ash from TV, but comments about how he could have done better annoying Ash. Before an argument can start, Y/n asked for the gym leader which the kid claims he is.

Y/n raised an eyebrow at that, seeing he looks to young to be a trainer, let alone a gym leader. Deciding to amuse him, Y/n challenged him to a gym battle which the kid agrees.

"Since your the challenger, you send out your Pokemon first." The kid said from his side of the battlefield.

"Alright then, Regidraco battle time!"

"Regidraco!" The dragon orb Pokemon growled out.

"Woah, who's that Pokemon?" The kid asked while backing away in shock and awe.

"What going on here?" Someone asked. 

They all  turned to see May along with two adults by her side.

"Oh hey sis." The kid said casually to May.

"Sis?" Y/n and Ash asked in surprise.

A few minutes later

The adults introduced themselves as Norman and Caroline, May's and the kid, who's named Max's parents, and Norman being the real gym leader.

Ash wanted to challenge Norman to a gym battle, but was disappointed when he learned that the Petalburg gym needed at least three Pokemon to challenge, but he only had one as he left his other Pokemon with Professor Oak.

 Max asked his sister what starter she picked, she called out her Torchic in responds. Max was disappointed at the choice and was afraid to say it, only for the fire starter to peck him for the comment.

After Torchic stopped, Max asked Y/n a question about his Pokemon.

"Hey Y/n, what was the Pokemon you sent out against me?" He asked the guardian.

"That was Regidraco, a legendary Pokemon from Galar." Y/n replied.

"A legendary Pokemon?"Ash asked curiously.

Y/n explained about the legendary titans and how he meet them, the others were surprised with Y/n's luck with legendary Pokemon.

Y/n decided to show them the Pokedex entries of the titans.

"Regirock, the rock peck Pokemon. A Rock type. Every bit of Regirock's body is made of stone. As parts of its body erode, this Pokemon sticks rocks to itself to repair what's been lost."

Regice ,the Iceberg Pokemon. An Ice type. Regice cloaks itself with frigid air of -328 degrees Fahrenheit. Things will freeze solid just by going near this Pokrmon. Its icy body is so cold, it will not melt even if it is immersed in magma."

"Registeel, the Iron Pokemon. A Steel type. Registeel's body is made of a strange material that is flexible enough to stretch and shrink but also more durable than any metal."

"Regieleki, the electron Pokemon. A Electric Type. This Pokemon is a cluster of electrical energy. It's said that removing the rings on Regieleki's body will unleash the Pokemon's latent power. "

Regidraco, the dragon orb Pokemon. A Dragon type.An academic theory proposes that Regidrago's arms were once the head of an ancient dragon Pokemon. The theory remains unproven."

"Regigigas, the Colossal Pokemon. A Normal type. According to legend, Regigigas has towed continents using ropes."

"Wow, i can't believe  have six legendary Pokemon Y/n." Ash said in awe.

"Maybe, but it can be a pain when if sometimes, with people like Pokemon thieves around." 

The others nodded, knowing having a team of legendary Pokemon can draw unwanted attention. 

Y/n then got a call from his xtransceiver, picking it up he saw his teacher Palutena on screen.

"Y/n,i need you at Poni island at the Alola region." Palutena said. "I'll explain when you get here, my Gardevoir will pick you up at the Pokemon center."

Y/n nodded before excusing himself, he reached the Pokemon center where his teacher's embrace Pokemon was waiting for him. She then teleported them to Alola's Poni island, specifically the islands Poni altar. He saw his teacher along with an old face,both holding two unique looking flutes, one orange and one light blue.

"Y/n, it's good to see you again." His old friend Xenovia said.

"Xenovia? It has been quite a while." Y/n said.  While he and Xenovia wasn't that close as they have different classes, but they know each other well.

Palutena used a sphere of aura to bring two cocoon like Pokemon for Y/n to see. " These two Pokemon is known as Cosmoem, the evolved form of the Pokemon Cosmog, and the pre evolved forms of the legendary Pokemon Solgaleo and Lunala."

"I didn't know legendary Pokemon can evolve." Y/n said surprised.

"They're the rare exceptions, in our world they need the help of the energies of the Poni altar to evolve." Palutena explained. "They came under my care a year ago as Cosmog's, they evolved a month ago, i have a feeling evolving them will be needed in the future."

The younger guardians nodded, trusting the older guardians words.

"Alright Y/n, i need you to take this sun flute and play at the beside the sun statue, Xenovia take the moon flute beside the moon statue." Palutena ordered.

They nodded before going to their positions, they instinctively played in harmony, the Altar to release a bright light, the two Cosmoem's was drawn to the center of the light, the two Protostar Pokemon glowed before evolving into a Solgaleo and Lunala.

"Woah, they actually evolved!" Y/n said in shock.

"I see it, but i can hardly believe it." Xenovia said in surprise.

The two legendaries looked at Palutena for a minute, before nudging her with affection, clearly remembering the care she gave them while they were still Cosmog. 

"I'm glad to see you two lively once more." She said while rubbing the two legendaries heads. " Until the days that you two are needed for a future disaster, will you support my student in his adventures?" She asked them which the two roared in agreement.

She then pulled out two  Cherish balls, they tapped the buttons with their snout and wing and was sucked in. 1..2...3 and ping. And with that, Solgaleo and Lunala was caught.

She then gave the two to Y/n." Please take good care of them Y/n."

"Of course master Palutena." Y/n said as he accepted the  Cherish balls.

"Now before you return to Hoenn, let's have a bite to eat." Palutena said with  clap of her hands. " Xenovia? Don't you have something to say to Y/n?" 

"Y/n, i'll be joining you with your journey after our meal." Xenovia said to the male guardian.

"Blunt and straight forward as always, any reason why?" Y/n asked.

"I decided to start my journey at Hoenn, and it'll be nice to have a familiar face with me." Xenovia explained.

Y/n nodded, he then explained that he was traveling with two others which she didn't mind. After Palutena's Gardevoir teleported them to a Pokemon center and they ordered their luch, Y/n could only wonder what the future holds as the journey continues.
