A/n: The first new chapter of the year,  Enjoy the chapter. Huh? What the!? I leave my room for ten seconds and somehow it's filled with Pokemon snacks! The heck is going on here!? Groan.. it seems  that Y/n's older Pokemon decided my room is their snack room as payback for so little screen time. Great... now i have to clean up this disaster. 

The trio  is currently going through route 5, they visited a Pokemon daycare where Y/n got a Pokemon called a Toxel.

"Toxel the baby Pokemon. A electric and poison type. It stores poison in a internal poison sac and secretes that poison through its skin. If you touch this Pokemon, a tingling sensation follows." Y/n Rotom informed.

The trio made their way east, only to encounter a duo of team yell pestering  a man about a bike saying they were going it to chase around gym challengers.

The man refused to give them the bikes, he then saw our heroes behind him. He then requested them to take care of team yell.

Iseult and Igraine took them on, and the grunts were learning the hard way why they were called the best tag partners of them all. As Iseult's Magnazone and Igraine's Metagross made quick work of the two.

After the grunt fled, the man gave them each a bike. Which they used to cross the bridge in front of them.

On the way, they met Hop who wanted a battle with Y/n. Who accepted.

"The battle between Y/n and Hop will now begin, both sides will use three Pokemon each and the battle will be over all three Pokemon on one side is able to continue. Additionally substitutions are allowed." Iseult called out acting as a referee.

"Alright Wooloo lets go ! Hop called out his first Pokemon.

" Raboot battle time." Y/n calling out the rabbit Pokemon, who gave a battle cry.

"Battle begin!" 

"Wooloo use rollout!"  The sheep Pokemon rolled up in a ball before charging at Rabbot.

"Flame charge go!" Raboot cloaks himself with flames before charging at the incoming Wooloo.

The two clashed in the middle for a bit, before Raboot managed to overpower Wooloo.

"Wooloo are you okay?" Hop asked when the sheep Pokemon landed in front of him.

"Wol..." Wooloo groans out, but still able to continue.

 " Great, now use double kick!"  Wooloo jumped at Raboot trying to kick it with it's hind leg.

"Counter with your own double kick!" Raboot jumped at Wooloo to kick it as well.

 Raboot managed to overpower Wooloo and send it flying, when it landed it was down and out.

"Wooloo is unable to battle, Rabbot wins!" Iseult declares.

Hop recalled the sheep Pokemon, thanking it before sending out his second Pokemon.

"Thwackey, let's go!" Hop called out the grass starter.

"Thwackey the beat Pokemon. A grass type. And the evolved from of Grookey. The faster a Thwackey can beat out a rhythm with its two sticks, the more respect it wins from its peers." Rotom informed.

This confused the trio as he sent out a Pokemon with a type disadvantage, but hoped that Hop knows what he's doing.

 "Thwackey use double hit!" The beat Pokemon tried to use its two sticks to hit Raboot, but Raboot merely jumped out out of the way.

"Here's a tip, when a Pokemon uses flame charge it increases it's speed. Fire punch!" Y/n explained before calling out.

Raboot lit his paw on fire before punching the beat Pokemon, the attack hit it's target burning it at the same time.

The damage was too much for Thwackey as it went down.

"Thwackey is unable to battle Rabbot wins!"

 Hop recalled Thwackey before sending out his final Pokemon Corvisquire.

"Corvisquire the Raven Pokemon. A flying type. and the evolved form of Rookidee. Smart enough to use tools in battle, these Pokemon have been seen picking up rocks and flinging them or using ropes to wrap up enemies."

Y/n recalled his Raboot, before call out his own.

The battle was interesting, but Y/n's held out in the end. 

After giving Y/n a revive, he then dashed ahead to Hulbury causing the trio to sigh.

 When they reached Hulbury they went to the Pokemon center to rest. 

Suddenly a short earthquake happened, the trio followed it to the harbor to find what caused the earthquake is a ... Gigantimax Lapras!? 

Leon was already using his Charizard to try to stop it, but he wasn't having much luck because of the typing.

Y/n's group decided to help, with Y/n sending out his Gyarados, Iseult brought out Magnazone and Igraine brought out Metagross.

Y/n and Igraine decided to go all out form the start,with mega evolution.

"You who has the strength to evolve even further, the two began. If you lend me your heart and trust, i shall lend you my strength and will. The mega stones on Gyarados and Metagross along with Y/n and Igraine's keystones let out streams of light that started to connect together as the Pokemon's body began to glow and change. Transcend through the boundaries that keep your true strength hidden away! Beyond evolution, Mega evolve! As they finished their chant , the Pokemon has finished changing, the mega evolution symbol appeared for a second before fading. 

The chant is a habit they picked upwhile they were practising

The three decided to hit it with everything they got at it, the fast they end this the better.

"Thunder!"

A/n : Thunder cannon is a mix of thunder and flash cannon

"Flash cannon!"

The attacks hit their target and caused a large explosion that shook all of Hulbury.

When it died down, the Lapras is turned back to normal. Igraine quickly ran to downed transport Pokemon to help it.

The Lapras was grateful for her help, she decided to go with igraine feeling save with her.

After the mess has been resolved, the trio met chairman rose and his assistant Oleana. They also met with Nessa the gym leader, who will be waiting for Y/n's challenge tomorrow.

Iseult's Milcery also evolved into the rare rainbow Alcremie at dusk. The trio decided to finally get some well deserved rest.
