When Dawn comes across a wild Pachirisu, it's so cute that she just has to catch it! Catching it turns out to be the easy part, because Dawn's new Pachirisu turns out to be so hyperactive that it wears everyone out before she can even start to train it!

They watched as Piplup and Buneary chase down the hyperactive EleSquirrel Pokemon with no success. When Ash sent out his Pokemon to help, Pachirisu was able to out ran them as well. When the six Pokemon got Pachirisu surrounded, they quickly jumped to catch Pachirisu..... only for the EleSquirrel Pokemon to speed away at the last second, causing the six to crash into each other.

Our heroes could only watch with a sweatdrop. "Speedy." Ash could say.

"And non stop." Brock said.

Y/n decided to help Dawn with a trick his cousin used with her own hyperactive Pokemon.

Y/n surrounded Pachirisu in a beach ball sized sphere of aura, Pachirisu kept on running in the sphere until it began to slow down.

Y/n recommended Dawn try again, Dawn does so and Pachirisu was actually obeying Dawn.

"Just it was too energetic huh?" Coco asked.

"Yup, i thought it's best it spend some of it's energy." Y/n said. "I can tell it does like Dawn, but it's just hyperactive and mischievous that's all."

As Brock was about to cook, an Altaria appeared  and crashed into Y/n surprising everyone. 

"Who's that Pokemon." Dawn asked as she scanned it.

"Altaria, the Humming Pokémon and the evolved form of Swablu. As Altaria flies across the sky, it resembles a soft cloud. It hums using its high voice." Her Pokedex beeped.

"Isn't this your mom's Altaria Y/n?" Iseult asked seeing the Humming Pokemon being so affectionate with the male guardian.

"Yup, it's good to see you again Altaria." Y/n said chuckling.

Altaria got of Y/n before giving Y/n a note tied to her legs,  Y/n opened and read it. 

"Huh, my next trial. " Y/n said. " In the  nearby forest i'll have to find three items, a Mago Berry, Honey, and a Big Root.  Then i'll have to use the ingredients to make a special soup to attract the totem. There's even the recipe for it."

"Leave them part to me." Brock. "You just focus on gathering those ingredients."

Y/n nodded, he when to the forest and managed to find the ingredients. After bringing them to the others. Brock followed the recipe and soon a unique aroma begins to waft around the area. Y/n then felt a piercing gaze from somewhere.

Soon Y/n felt something approaching from behind,  he turned to see a shiny totem Lurantis!

Y/n used his Pokedex to scan the shiny totem.

"Lurantis, the Bloom Sickle Pokemon. A Grass type, and the evolved form of Fomantis. Lurantis use their flower-like appearance and aroma to lure in opponents and defeat them." His Pokedex beeped.

"It's a shiny." Bea said, having seen a few Lurantis during her training.

"Shiny or not, i have a trail to complete. Aerodactyl battle time!"

"Fire fang!"

Aerodactyl's fangs  ignited before charging at the Bloom Sickle Pokemon, but it dodged and knocked the fossil Pokemon away with leaf blade.

The totem let out a cry as it summoned a ally Pokemon, a Castform.

"Castform, the Weather Pokemon. A Normal type. Castform has learned to use the power of nature to protect its small body." Y/n's Pokedex beeped.

Castform glowed as it used sunny day , it then glowed before changing into it's sunny form.

"Woah, what happened to Castform? Dawn asked in surprise.

"It's Castform's forecast ability, it allows Castform to change from depending on the weather." Brock explained.

Lurantis absorbs sunlight into itself and forms a large yellow ball of light above its head. Lurantis then raises one of its hands and turns the ball into a giant blade of yellow light. Lurantis then slams the blade down onto Aerodactyl.

Aerodactyl barely managed to dodged the attack, before attacking with another fire fang but was hit by Castform's water gun.

"Stone edge at Castform!"

Aerodactyl  forms white circles of energy which quickly become sharp gray stones. It then fires them at Castform, the weather Pokemon tried to dodge but was too slow and was hit and knocked out.

Lurantis arm's glowed green as it tried going for a leaf blade,  which Aerodactyl barely managed to dodge.

"Aerial ace!"

Aerodactyl  dives down at Lurantis  and flaps his wings once. Once she does, she moves so fast he becomes a blur, Lurantis quickly countered with leaf blade, the attacks clashed causing a dust cloud to kick up.

When it died down, both Pokemon were barely standing. Y/n knew he needed to end this before the totem recovers.

"Aerial ace!"

With as much strength as she could muster, Aerodactyl managed to pull of another Aerial ace striking and knocking of the totem.

The totem awoke a few minutes later, it then gave Y/n the grass type Z crystal, the Grassium Z.

After Y/n attached the crystal to his ring, the totem was done with the soup. It then approached Y/n, it was about to say something until a annoying trio was heard.

But before they could use their newest trick, Lurantis quickly charged up a solar blade before slashing at the trio's hot air balloon. This caused a tear that sent the annoying trio flying.

Y/n then made a contact with Lurantis, understanding what it wants, Y/n pulls out a nest ball and held it out to the shiny totem. It touched the button and was absorbed it.

1...2...3 and Ping. With that, Lurantis was caught.

"Congrats Y/n, i heard totem sized Pokemon are rare to find yet alone with it's shiny." Iseult said.

"They must have asked professor oak for help." Y/n said as he looked at the nest ball holding his newest Pokemon.

"Professor oak?" Ash asked.

"Oh that's right, a lot of people doesn't know this." Y/n said in realization. "The professor oak you know has a cousin in Alola who studies regional variants."

"Really? I guess i'll ask him the next time i see him."

As your heroes waited for lunch, Y/n could only wonder what the future will hold as the journey continues.
