Two Introverts Tamaki × Reader part 3
"There has to be something!" Your mother cried.
"Her quirk is broken. We can't fix it. I'm sorry. She can't use it anymore," the nurse said as you sat there cleaned up, but paint stained your hair and your face.
"Y/n, please say something! I know we can fix this. Please just say something!" Your mother said as your father sighed.
You didn't say anything as you got up, and your best friend's parents were trying to get you to stay and talk, but you wouldn't talk. You left the room and started taking all the bandages off. They were blood-covered, but you didn't care. You were in new clothes, but now they were getting covered in blood because you refused to have bandages on. If you were going to bleed out, then so be it.
The news was going on, and of course, they were blasting you and hitting you where it hurt and brought up your last battle. You looked at the last footage of you, all might, and blue speed trying to break the shield. No heroes were around other than you three. You were labeled as the biggest failure even though you broke the shield and your friend died saving you.
Then it showed how you were taken down by a mob, and they thought you were on drugs or heavily drinking, but you weren't. But now that wasn't your concern because you were tired of it and you wanted to die. You put your hands in your pockets, then walked back to your dorm room. You pulled out a bottle of pills and put them in your pocket. You took a notepad and a pencil with you, then headed out.
The heroes looked at you and were now avoiding you because they knew who you were now. You were about to leave the dorm room building when class 1a, as well as Mirio, Nejire, and Tamaki, were in your way. You turned around and decided to take another exit so you wouldn't bother them.
"Y/n," Tamaki said, making you stop, but you still had your back to them.
You decided to go anyway because you knew they would try to make you feel better and you didn't want that. But at the other exit, other kids from class 1b and other classes were at that other exit. You decided to go to the third exit, and the same thing happened. They started to close on you, making you panic, so you tried to go back to the first exit. But now you were surrounded, so you squatted down and covered your head in fear. You knew everyone would turn against you sooner or later, but you were hoping you could kill yourself before this happened.
"Y/n, don't be scared we aren't going to hurt you. we just want you to know we all have your back," Kirishima said.
"I got dragged along," Bakugo said as Shoto hit him.
"Do that again, Icey hot. I dare you!" He screamed.
"Guys, come on! Look, we know you haven't had it easy, and after that, the mob came after you. it wasn't right. Real men help their friends and don't hit someone when they're down. Real men also fight to protect their friends. You didn't kill all those people. That villain did, and you did everything you could. We all know that, and we will go against the world if we have to; you make sure you get back on your feet," Kirishima said as you looked at the floor shocked.
"You were the best out of your school, and I want to fight you with all my strength, and I can't fight you like this! So screw those assholes and be a real hero again!" Bakugo growled.
"That's not even close to something positive," Shoto said.
"Shut up!!!" He yelled.
"We just wanted to let you know that we have your back, and you aren't alone out here," Mirio said as Tamaki awkwardly held out a hand to you.
You didn't know what to do but just sat there in fear that it was all a bad joke, you felt a hand touch your shoulder, and it was Tamaki. You looked around and saw over a hundred students surrounding you, which made you shocked. You looked around and then back at the ground again. You got up slowly while holding onto Tamaki's hand. You did sign language for thank you, making some people smile bigger. The crowd cleared out, but the three friends you made stood there with you.
"Everything's going to be okay Y/n, we won't let you get bullied like that ever again," Mirio said as you sighed weakly.
"You don't have to worry about that. My quirk is broken. There is no fixing it," you wrote on your notepad as you gave it to him.
"Are you sure?" He asked softly.
"Yes, it's broken. I will never be a hero now because I'm useless. I always have been and last night proved it," you wrote as you gave them the notepad and paper then left.
You went to your friend's grave and sighed weakly.
"What did I do? I can't live my life like this, and worst of all, people keep wanting to support me, but I don't want it. I don't deserve it. All those people... they will lose popularity or worse their licenses for being around me. I'm not worth the trouble...," you said softly as you took out the pill bottle.
"I just miss you so much... I am lost and don't know what to do. All I want is peace, but everyone is so mad at me for something that isn't my fault. I know it's not, but it feels like it is because everyone I knew turned against me, and all the citizens did too. How can they expect a teenager to save the world? I can barely save myself...," you said as you looked but noticed it was empty.
You looked at it oddly and then opened it, and to your horror, it was empty. It was full this morning, and then you looked at it closer, and it was an older bottle of medicine. This wasn't yours. Also, someone knew you had this or went through your room because how could they switch it out like that? You started crying, realizing someone knew and was trying to help you. You didn't want their help. You wanted to die, and now they were keeping you from that.
Tamaki was standing by a tree watching you. He had your bottle of pills and saw how heartbroken and angry you were. He went back to the dorm room, dumped the pills down the toilet, and flushed them. He then took off the packaging and threw them away in separate trash cans.
"I hope I made the right choice," he said as he lay on the floor.
He noticed you were done fighting everyone and just wanted to be left alone, so he checked your room for anything that could kill you and found the pills. It was just ibuprofen, but they were high dosages, and with a new bottle, you could easily overdose. He knew how much it hurt, and if he was in your shoes, he would do the same thing. Their cruelty to you cost you your quirk, and you were never getting it back, but maybe he gave you a chance to be happy.
He texted Mirio to keep an eye on you, and he went into the lobby to wait for you. By the time you came back, it was very late at night, and Tamaki fell asleep while waiting for you. You were still numb, but when you saw Tamaki lying on the couch. You stood there for a moment, and then his phone went off, so you checked it. There were multiple missed texts from Mirio texting him where you were going and when you left. You looked at him softly and realized he was trying, but you didn't know why he was trying so hard. No one else dared to besides your parents.
You picked him up carefully and carried him off to his bedroom. You took off his shoes and loosened his tie so it wouldn't choke him while he slept and put his phone on the charger. You tucked him in, then turned off the light. You didn't understand why he was trying to save you from yourself, but maybe he put himself in your shoes. Getting moved like that and beaten probably made him realize why you were so hard on yourself.
You sat on the couch where Tamaki fell asleep and sat there quietly. You looked down at your hands at the empty bottle and thought about Tamaki.
"You know if I were alive, I would say hit that. You know he is giving you a chance. You might not want another friend because of me, but he is trying to help you. He doesn't want you to go, and you know if he helps you, maybe you will find your will to fight. Once you get that, then you will get your quirk back," Leon said with a smile.
"I don't deserve it," you said softly.
"Who said? You did? Those people? Fuck those people, you did your best and if I were here I would have your back and slap anyone who talked bad about you. Come on, please, for me, try one more time. I know when you asked, you were rejected, but these people won't. Please, don't give up yet," he said as you sighed and wiped some tears away.
"If this empty pill bottle is your sign fine, I'll..... I'll try to get my old self back," you said as you headed to your room.
You put the empty pill bottle on your dresser and started to put together the exercise equipment you were planning on getting rid of. You started working out, and you were going to work out all night. You lost muscle mass because you were so sad all the time, but now you had to imagine your best friend was with you always and forever. You were going to do this for not just him but yourself. You have to stop feeling sorry for yourself, but it was going to be hard since you were depressed still and wanted to end your life. You needed to stay alive now for Tamaki, who was putting real effort into you, and you had no idea why. Right now, you don't care. All you cared about was trying to pick up what was left of your heart and try to fix it enough.
