The Black Sleve debate: Kirishima × Reader part 4 (fin)
You sighed weakly as you kept working by yourself. It was all you could do, and you were overworked. You were tied, and you were most afraid you lost a friend over sleeves of all things. You knew he wasn't the type just to walk off and get mad oversleeves, but something was off. Maybe he was stressed and needed to be alone. Being alone working made you miss your family. You were always together, and you not being with them just felt wrong. You weren't around your friends either, and it was making you depressed and a bit angry. You were a social person, so being alone in this place wasn't ideal.
You heard the door open but ignored it as you were putting in measurements for repairs. You sighed as you made sure they were right and checked them off. You signed off on them and started to have the metal melted down. Your suit still wasn't going to be fixed and probably wasn't going to be until everyone came back from being sick.
"Hey....," Kirishima said softly as you looked at him a bit shocked.
"Oh hey, sorry it's going to take a bit longer on those sleeves. Heck, I don't even have my suit fixed," you muttered as you looked at all the paperwork.
"About that, forget about them. You were right. They were a stupid idea," he said as he pulled out some roses for you.
"Thank you...," you said, shocked.
"It was uncool for me to walk out like that yesterday, and you were tired. I don't think I could have reached your bracelet at the time even if I wanted to. You had a tough grip. I wasn't mad at you, I was mad at myself for not helping you enough and for not being able to get you off of me. I should be able to do that, and I can't. How am I supposed to help you if you get hurt badly in battle? I'm not going to be able to carry you to the nearest hospital," he said as you sighed.
"You don't have to worry about that until that day comes. I have two strong siblings, and I know you will find a way. You always do, thank you for the flowers. I never got flowers from another guy before, except by my family, of course," you smiled as he smiled weakly.
"I thought you would like them, I was hoping you would because you have enough tools," he chuckled.
"True, I do," you smiled.
"Want to go somewhere on your lunch break?" Kirishima asked.
"Are you asking me out on a lunch date?"You asked, shocked.
"No, no, just as friends," he answered nervously.
"That's a relief, I mean, I like both, but work often gets in the way. My last girlfriend thought I was cheating on her because I was here so often when Rachel had her baby," you explained.
"Work is work. You have to do it. You are the best," Kirishima said with a light blush.
"Thanks, here I'll put these in a vase, and we can go," you said.
"Now?" He asked.
"We don't have to go if you are busy right now," you said.
"Oh, I'm not busy. We can go," he said as you put them in the vase.
You put the computer in the autopilot so it wouldn't make any more pieces once it was done.
You grabbed your jacket and went out with him. You went to a little quiet restaurant with him, and he paid even though you instead. It felt like a date almost to you, and honestly, you loved it. You liked him for a while, but you were nervous since you didn't know if he was like you or not. You had no plans on asking either to preserve your friendship and your feelings. You two laughed and joked around a bit, and you were trying not to flirt, but it was hard. You weren't naturally a flirt, but right now, you felt alive.
Suddenly, you heard screaming and got up immediately. You headed out only to see a building on fire.
"Oh shit! Kirishima!" You yelled as he went outside, and you turned me into a dragon. You picked him up and started lying fast on the building.
"This is a lab! Be careful!" You said as you ran in and started grabbing people and then bailing out of the building.
Kirishima helped you gather people out of all the top floors, and you went to get him. The building started giving out, and you started sliding. You caught Kirishima as he was about to slide out of a massive hole, and you quickly ran into one of the massive coolers and shut the door. Kirishima tried to stop one side, and so you did too, but you were still falling until you were on round hard.
The color flashed its emergency lights, and you sighed weakly.
"Sorry my wings gave out," you said as you tried to open the door, but you couldn't open it.
"It's okay, here let me try," he said as he also tried to open the door.
He was getting there when the cooler started moving and then fell. You two tumbled until you were standing at the door. A sharp piece of metal went through the roof, and you pushed Kirishima out of the way.
"This isn't great," Kirishima said as you sighed.
"You're telling me my body temperature is getting low," you said as you hit your emergency button. Water started to feel cooler, and both of you didn't know what to do now.
You two huddled together and waited for your sister and younger brother. You were getting colder and colder, but so was Kirishima.
"I'm about about 150. If I go to 140, I'll go into hibernation mode," you said as Kirishima looked at you worried.
"How long ago since you sent for help?" Kirishima asked.
"Half an hour. They probably have to stop the water before they can get to us," you said as your lips were turning blue.
"The water is up to our waists they aren't going to be able to turn it off before you freeze," Kirishima said.
"I'll be fine as long as I don't go below. I'll come back. I did it before," you said.
"Is there any way to warm you up?" He asked.
"Not that I can think of," you said as you were starting to shake.
"Y/n?" He asked.
"Yeah," you said as you fell to your knees.
He tried to hold you up, but you were getting heavy for him, making him panic.
"No, no, no, come on a bit longer!" Kirishima said as you were close to blacking out.
He suddenly kissed you, making you shocked. You felt your body getting warmer, and after a few moments, your wings popped out as you were kissing him back. The container started to get warmer, and so did the water.
"Hey guys, my brother's temperature is going up fast," Artic said as Shoto froze the water.
"How is that possible?" Izuku asked.
"I don't know, something in there is passing him off most likely," Angel said.
As everyone started moving scraps of metal and building off the cooler.
"That's the last of the water," Shoto said as he started helping, but the metal started to get hot until it started melting.
Steam started coming out of the container, and you and Kirishima were fully making out on the side of the container. His legs were wrapped around your waist, and your scales started appearing on the back of your neck and your arms.
"That's not at all what I expected...." Artic said as Izuku screamed in shock.
"Oh hey guys," Kirishima said as the steam made his hair flat, and you ran your finger through his hair.
You put him down and cleared your throat, trying to cool yourself down. You two looked at each other, and Kirishima smiled a bit shy.
"Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to keep him from drowning, so I kissed him," Kirishima said awkwardly.
"Looks like you were trying to eat my brother!" Angel said.
"It's the other way around," Artic said.
"Can we just go?" Shoto asked not interested in anything that happened.
