Metaphors and Sarcasm Todoroki Shoto × Reader part 7

It was unexpected, and the whole class couldn't believe you were strong enough to hold it for that long. If Shoto had used his ice, then his ice would have hurt people or, worse, killed them. You were hurt badly, and your phone kept going off while he was there. It was face down on the table next to you, and he knew he shouldn't look at it, but he was getting annoyed with it. He looked at your phone after whoever tried calling you seven times to reach you. He heard a ding and saw it was from Snapchat, which he didn't know you had.

You stupid bitch pick up right fucking now you missed your call!

Do you want to end up kicked out of the school??

Once you come home, your punishment will make you wish you had never been born!

The texts stopped for about five minutes, and he saw another text message.

If you get a single scar, I'll make you regret living through that explosion! Your husband wants you with no scars! If you get one, I'm pulling you out of that school, and you will be homeschooling!

"Husband?" Shoto asked, confused, knowing you weren't seeing anyone.

Then another ding.

"You better wear what he likes and send him a picture to ensure you don't have scars. I'll push the arranged marriage to your birthday if you aren't careful!"

Shoto froze seeing that message, and it made him angry. He was only in your notifications because if he got into your Snapchat, your father would know when you were on it. If he knew Shoto was on it, he didn't know what he would do to you. He would have to wait until you woke up to do anything. He could tell his dad that your father was being a creep, but he didn't know how old your arranged husband was or anything about him. He could be as old as you, younger, or even older. He didn't know what to do or say, but things started making a lot of sense.

You had so many hobbies, but they weren't your hobbies; you probably were forced to learn them to keep him happy. You always apologized for everything, and you seemed nervous every time you made a mistake. He knew what his dad did to him, and now you were going through something similar, but for him, your situation seemed worse than his. Your husband-to-be was asking for pictures, and he could guess what.

This whole time, you were stuck, and that is why some days you looked heartbroken. It was also why you didn't notice any of your panties going missing because you had so many. To say Shoto was angry was an understatement; everything started to make sense, and all the proof Shoto needed to help you was on your phone.

If he showed one of the teachers, he knew they would help you. He put your phone down as more angry messages from your future husband were now blowing up your phone. He had to convince you to turn it over to the authorities.

"Shoto, what are you doing in her room?" Endeavor asked as Shoto saw him with President Mic and Eraserhead.

"She got hurt; you should know you were there," he answered, as Shoto was also scared of leaving you alone.

You died, and he brought you back barely. He didn't want you to die, and in a way, he felt responsible for you ending up like this.

"Get away from her; she's dangerous," Endeavor said as Aizawa looked at him but then back at Shoto.

"She almost died saving everyone, including myself," Shoto paused.

"Her father is nicknamed Oda Nobunaga; his real name is Kong, Xian Kong," he said, lighting Shoto's eyes in shock and horror.

"You promised never to tell anyone of her identity," Aizawa said.

"That was before she tried to kill my son," he said.

"She didn't do anything, and I can prove it," Hawks said.

"It doesn't matter I'd she physically did it or not. Her family is poison. She needs to be held for questioning," Endeavor said.

"She almost died saving all those people her father did his time in prison, and he is being monitored closely for any gang-related activities. That apartment fire happened because she was the target. The only reason why it failed was because Hawks and Shoto were there!" Mic growled.

"It wasn't a hit; it was a test; they want her father. What better way to provoke him than by attacking his youngest daughter?' Hawks asked.

No wonder you didn't fight him; he was ruthless before; he was born, and your siblings were well-known and, worst of all, untouchable. There was no escape for you. No matter where you went, you would be found. He looked at your phone and then at you. Overwhelming sadness hit him like a train, as well as anger.

He was about to grab your phone when he thought about the bombs that went off and that you attacked. You were never that violent, so you knew them. They knew you were at the beach, and you saved them from what they had planned.

"Shoto, leave," Endeavor said.

"No, you already decided about her, but she isn't a villain. She has the power to be and every reason to be, but she isn't like that," he said.

"I gave you an order, not a request," he said.

"Endeavor," Aizawa said.

"And I said Leave!" He yelled, triggering your water powers to shield Shoto.

They all looked shocked, seeing your water shield having holes in it and barely able to stay solid enough to protect him.

"Y/n, stop! You're hurting yourself!" Shoto begged as he was going to try to touch it, but it was so frail he was afraid he would hurt you if he broke it.

He rubbed your arm, trying to make you stop, but it didn't work.

"Come on," he said.

He couldn't leave the room now, and he had no idea what to do. He made one of his hands catch fire, and he carefully hovered it over your hand, but that didn't work either.

Endeavor walked into the room and was about to break the shield you made forcefully, but Shoto quickly protected it with an ice shield.

"Shoto!" He growled.

"It might hurt her," he said as your shield exploded and water went everywhere.

He melted the ice and cleaned up the water without saying a word.

"Hey, is Y/n alright?" Kirishima asked as he was huffing and puffing after running to get to you.

"Course not, you idiot!" Bakugo growled.

"You aren't allowed to see her," Endeavor said.

"What? She's our friend!" Kirishima said in protest.

"She is your enemy; she's the daughter of Oda Nobunaga, or Kong as he goes by. Stay away from her," Endeavor said.

"Kong?!" Kirishima said, terrified.

"Stop it! Let her have a normal life! Not everyone must be scared of her when she has done nothing wrong!" Mic growled.

"She is the reason why the area got bombed. She should be kicked out because next time, it will be the school, maybe the dorm itself. She put a target on everyone's back because you all let her in," he said as he walked away.

Bakugo was more angry than worried about you now because you held back so much of your power. He wanted to fight you now and hoped you got better enough so he could put you right back into the hospital again. News of who you were spread like wildfire to your classmates. A lot of the kids were now afraid of what was going to happen, but Mezou was indifferent.

Other kids also started figuring it out, even though the teachers were trying to keep it contained. You were in the hospital for a week before you started waking up. You missed so many calls and texts that Shoto let your phone die so they would stop bothering you.

You slowly woke up and saw Shoto there next to you.

"Are you all?" You paused as you tried getting up.

"We are fine. Stop trying to sit up. You are still hurt bad," he said.

"How long was I out for?" You asked as he helped you sit up since you wouldn't take no for an answer.

"A week. Your phone died three days ago. I was going to charge it, but you kept getting calls," Shoto said as he finally plugged it in and waited for it to get some power back.

"No.. no. Oh no," you said as you were panicking.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"My dad is going to kill me!" You said as you were about to snatch your phone from the bedside table.

"Not if I have something to say about it," he said.

"Shoto... did you just make a joke?" You asked.

"I think so. You didn't laugh, though," he said, knowing fully well your father would kill you for any reason right now.

"Thanks for trying," you sigh.

"Y/n, I know he's strict, but it will be fine. The doctors kept your father up with your helth. The teachers came by, and my father, " Shoto said.

"Your father visited?" You asked.

"Yeah, he wanted to hold you in a cell. Your father is a mob boss who only spent three years in prison for drugs. But it's said he did worse things than that, but no one can prove it," he said as you quickly looked away.

"So you're here to babysit me," you said sadly.

"No, I'm here as your friend," he said.

"My friend? As soon as people find out, they hate me or want favors from me. I'm not like my family, okay. I will never be like them. I want to be different from them," you said.

"You are different," he said.

"I am, I'm a push over, and try hard to get people to like me. Look, you know now so you should go. The whole school probably knows, and I don't want your reputation to get ruined. Like mine already is," you said.

"I'm not," he paused.

"You need to leave, thank you, but you need to leave," you said as tears welled in your eyes and you tried not to cry.

"I'm not leaving you because of who your family is. I don't care. You never cared about who my father was and had no idea until I told you. I don't want anything from you, and I don't know why you got so many messages and calls, but he knew you were here. He never once tried to visit you himself. If he were that worried, he would have come here," he said.

"It's complicated," you said.

"It may be, but you need to take care of yourself and not worry what he says," he said as he gave you your phone once it charged ten percent.

You looked at all the missed calls and texts saw, how hate-filled they were, and cleared them from your notifications. You replied to your future husband, then your father on Snapchat, and shoto patted his pockets.

"May I borrow your phone? I need to text Momo you're alright. She wanted to throw you a party when you woke up," he said.

"I don't need one; I didn't do anything besides mess up like I normally do," you said as you handed your phone over.

"Okay, I will tell her," he said as he got into your Snapchat and quickly made your Snapchat connect to a different phone he got just for this.

He connected his phone to yours so now he could see the messages both of you were sending without making it known to either one of you. He sent a message to Momo about the party and said you said no to it. Then, he gave you back your phone after clearing some things off your phone.

"Want me to stay, or do you want me to leave?" He asked.

"Can you stay, please? Well, until I get a phone call?" you asked.

"Yes," he said as your phone was going off like crazy again, and that meant his phone that he got to copy, and your phone was going off as well. It was in a box under his bed while his actual phone was charging in his room.

"Man," you said as you were getting overwhelmed.

Shoto took your phone and set it on the table.

"Did you tell them you needed rest?" He asked.

"No," you said as he gave you your phone back.

"Tell them, then put your phone on Vibrant for a while," he said as you texted them and quickly put it on Vibrant.

"Thank you," you said as he got in your bed with you and just sat there oddly.

"I will be here the whole time until I have to eat or use the bath or when visiting hours are over or when school starts," he said.

"Thanks," you said as you lay down in your bed, and he laid down next to you, making you feel a lot safer.
