Being a demon slayer was anything but easy, and dealing with what happened to you when you were younger was harder. But you always made time for Muichiro Tokito. You arrived almost a year and a half later, and since you tried to get Tokito to regain his memory by taking him placed, you went as a child. You went to every festival you could while not working. You went to places that hurt you but never said a word about it because it wasn't important. You even tied a string to his wrist connected to yours so you wouldn't lose him in the crowds. He always protested, but after a while, he stopped because there was no point you would do it anyway.

He never really smiled or enjoyed anything you did together, and his memories never returned, but you tried to help him the best you could. You made him meals, and he asked you why you were doing this for him, but your response was always the same. Everyone's identity is important when he rediscovers who he is he will be happier, maybe even stronger. Many times, he would catch you crying but never ask you why.

You would wait until everyone was dead asleep to start crying or make sure no one was around because it was hard for you. You would disappear for days on end sometimes without saying anything to anyone. Everyone thought it was just part of your job, but no matter how hurt you were, you left on the same days or as often as you could. People even heard you crying just a couple more days or just one more day. Your breakdowns were becoming more frequent, and you always looked over your shoulder like something was out to get you or someone.

But the truth was you were getting angry at Tokito. He was reckless at times, and you took hits for him that would have left him in the hospital for days. He was good at his job, but he always made sure people with skills or importance got to safety first instead of everyone before attacking a demon. He even left you to fight demons that you barely won against because you weren't on the same skill level as he was. You got stronger, yet it was never enough. He would always add an insult as to why you got hurt or why you got in his way to save a person while he was fighting a demon. Some of the hits you took for him could have killed you, but he never cared because you were replaceable, and he made sure you knew it. He could do things himself, but you followed him because of what happened when you were younger. You did your missions too, but you always went to find Tokito when you were done to make sure he was safe.

At this point, you were fighting a demon and needed help. It was weak, but you had taken hits for Tokito again and were thrown through the woods like a rag doll. You were trying to use your breathing techniques, but its quick attacks made it nearly impossible. You were trying to breathe through the pain as your blood was covering your black clothes. You saw someone running through the woods and saw it was Tokito making you smile a bit.

"I need help, Tokito!" You yelled.

"You're a demon slayer. Take care of it. I have more important things to deal with you right now,' he said as your face dropped.

"Tokito!" You yelled as you were knocked back so hard you dropped your sword.

The demon charged at you, and you grabbed your sword. You barely managed to do your mental breathing form to slice off its head. You lay on the ground for a second and sighed weakly, then you sat up and weakly got up. It took you a second to close, close the wound off to stop bleeding, and then you saw Tokito coming back for you.

"Thought you would be dead by now," he said as you looked at him angrily.

"Five! That's the number of times you left me to die when I asked for your fucking help! I always have to go behind you and save people because you only save important people, but everyone is important no matter what they know! I have taken hits for you because you haven't been paying attention hardly or you think you're a kind of God that can't die! Well, that ends now. I am never helping you ever again! I don't want to be around you, and I don't give a damn if you die because you don't care if I do!" You yelled.

"I never asked for your help. You're the one that keeps following me around like a lost puppy," he pointed out as you finally slapped him as hard as you could.

"Because you were my friend, and I was trying to help get your memories back! Not knowing where you came from is worse than death! I just wanted to be there for you as a friend, but you never let me help you with anything, and you left me to die because I'm replaceable well. Guess what? I'm not! I have feelings, I'm a person and I'm sorry to even say this to you because you might be the only person from your family to be alive but I have someone that needs me to come home. Every time you were gone, I tried to be the person you see as family or something, but you will never see me like that. You are a cold, heartless person, and I'm sick of being your punching bag. I'm sick of you telling me I'm not good enough and I'm replaceable, and I'm sick and tired of being around your only people who have skills that are worth any value to your mindset!" You said as you were trying not to cry.

"Okay, see you later," he said as he left you alone.

You started to cry, but then you realized you weren't focusing on your wound anymore, and you tried to, but you felt weak. You tried to use your sword to brace yourself, but you passed out and started bleeding out.

"Hey, where's Y/n?" Tanjiro asked.

"In the woods somewhere, that's where I saw her last," he said as Tanjiro was getting worried.

"I'm going to go looking for her," he said as Zenitsu and Inosuke came bloody and bruised.

"Where is Y/n?" Inosuke asked as Zenitsu looked around terrified.

"You don't think she was killed, do you?" Zenitsu asked, terrified.

"If she was, it was her fault," Tokito said as Zenitsu looked at him shocked.

"How can you say that?! She's better than both of us!" Zenitsu said.

"Speak for yourself! She is not better than me but her skills are.... okay, at best," he said, remembering how your mistake saved Rengoku barely.

"Inosuke! Zenitsu!" Tanjiro screamed as he had you in his arms. Blood was running down your arm, and he had to put you down to see if he could stop the bleeding himself.

Muichiro looked at you but was unmoved by what had happened. Tanjiro was crying as he was trying to make the bleeding stop with his clothing to take to yo get medical treatment.

The wound was bad, and the likelihood of you dying was through the roof. You barely made it to the hospital alive, and a lot of people were worried you weren't going to make it, but Muichiro didn't understand why. You were replaceable after all and not that strong as far as he was concerned and was always going to be.
